Door are excellent. Delivery awful. Promised one day, cancelled the evening before. Promised the next Sunday. Double checked. No-one turned up. Promised the following Sunday. Arrived on the Wednesday instead. Fortunately, Katie took control and helped enormously.

Not a good experience!

I should have read reviews before ordering from these guys. Put a large order in, some were out of stock. Split order arranged for delivery with their delivery company, they get you to pick a day for delivery. So I arranged joiners to come the day after only on the day to be told delivery is now one day late. Messed me up with joiners. The out of stock doors didn’t come when they said and no email was sent to say this. The customers service team, if you can even get through are poor. One girl sounded like she did not want to be there. Have spent hours on hold trying to get through, seems like they just don’t care about customer satisfaction. Wouldn’t use again

Unfortunately, Rhenus the couriers we used for your order experienced an internal system issue affecting a handful of orders and causing them to be delayed. For this we would like to sincerely apologise and completely understand your frustration regarding this, we are in the process of bringing in our own delivery fleet to allow us to have more control over the deliveries and provide a consistently reliable service to our customers.

Regarding the out-of-stock door on your order, the dates provided are estimated and unfortunately can experience delays for a variety of reasons, such as bad weather affecting the port and containers coming in, this is something that is completely outside of our control. We will always try to keep customers updated if a restocking date has been pushed back however as we supply external supplier products we sometimes do not find out about the delay until the customer has requested an update.

I recommend Vivid doors

I had been looking for a door for a while to replace a very old 50's style glazed one which was an odd size.
This door came oversized but had plenty of trimming allowance so my carpenter was able to fit it in it's original frame.
What a transformation!
The staff were pleasant and helpful when I rang for advice
It was delivered with care at 8pm !
And he brought it inside my house
Good price too

Express doors v Rhenus

Express doors gave exceptional service and a quality product. I have to mention Abigail Grice and Halle Burkett in particular. They saved the day. I ordered 14 oak doors from this company and the way they handled the order was brilliant…… then it went wrong. Their nominated freight company, Rhenus, got it so wrong it was unbelievable. Two broken delivery promises and then put at back of queue. If I could Rhenus minus 5 stars, I would. Dreadful and they are damaging Express doors reputation. The only saving grace was Sam the delivery driver who paid real attention to service at delivery. Rhenus as a freight company are awful. Well done to Abi of Express doors getting it sorted.

Emails it takes the 2-3 days to reply.
Not a happy customer.

I would like to raise some serious…

I would like to raise some serious concerns about the product I received.

There are some defects such as cracks on the corner and screw holes not being aligned etc. I've attached some pictures for you to review.

There are other issues but not possible to get a picture from the inside angles now that it's been built.

I also find it staggering the extortionate price for something of such low quality. For this price I was expecting solid wood and good finish all around.

Also worth mentione I've suggest to by seller buy door Hinge which already comes with door just waste of money and more business for them.

I don't find this to be of any value and good quality especially for the price.

I would like partial refund on this for the defects and damages. Something that's agreeable and makes the purchase worthwhile.

If nothing agreed then I would be inclined to return this for a full refund….

I must say I'm extremely disappointed that you want me to buy another door and expect me to de assemble and re assemble again.

If you say gesture of goodwill then you should be offering some form of compensation. 48 hours is very unreasonable. I only opened it days after as Ive just moved house and doing renovation work.

I would like your information on how to make a formal complaint and where I can claim if there's a such option with ombudsman services or anything else.

I hope we can have a good agreement on this matter and I look forward to hearing from you with a reasonable resolution

The doors were delivered on the 28th January with damages not being reported until 5 days later on the 2nd February.

We state clearly in bright red bold writing on all order confirmations and within our terms and conditions that all damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery taking place, after this time claims may be rejected.

This time frame is industry standard and is inline with trading standards.

Unfortunately as this was reported outside of this time frame we were unable to offer a replacement free of charge and therefor a replacement was offered at a reduced cost as a goodwill gesture.

We can only apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and that we couldn't assist any further.

Poor delivery service.

Good quality doors, Poor delivery, Paid £65 for delivery of my 5 firedoors, expecting a 2 man team or at least some sort of assistance, live on 2nd floor apartment went down to help took 2 of the doors my self from the back of the Van, left at the communal entrance with them. No help or assistance whatsoever, wouldn't order again from this company for that reason.

Door took ages to come and when it did…

Door took ages to come and when it did it was delivered by Palletways, I’d suggest you ask Vivid Doors to use a different courier. My door had obviously been left outside in the rain for days on end and the bottom of the frame was soaked and the MDF totally ruined. Even the door needed to be trimmed by our carpenter to cut off the damaged part. The frame was junked as it was ruined.

Overall these doors are cheaply made and you pay for what you get but for the door you arrive wet damaged was unacceptable and Palletways know they left this outside for days on ends. They obviously don’t have internal storage and just a yard.

Utter shambles of a company

I should have listened to the one star reviews! Quick to take your money, return policy is a con. Say you have to check the products fo damage in 48hrs. But as soon as you remove the outer shrink wrap packing to check you invalidate the return policy as they say not then sellable condition!! Was told I should have checked though it, which is difficult if the entire door has cardboard all over it. And one of the doors did have damage behind cardboard. Waited so long to hear anything have been forced to use the damaged door, told would get a discount but still hasn't happened, Your 'next in the Que' for hours, tell you anything to then get you off the phone and then then refuse to let you speak to a manager on the phone, only by email who then don't even respond to multiple emails. Paid extra for express delivery, which didn't get set up as express and still chasing a return of the premium paid. Will be taking up with my bank. Worst service company I have ever dealt with!. Find the same doors via another company!

I can see that the customer service team were in correspondence with our suppliers LPD arranging a replacement door to be sent out, however due to the delay's compensation was requested instead.
