I stayed at Campanile Mont de Marsan…

I stayed at Campanile Mont de Marsan which had excellent reviews shown on their site.
The hotel has been refurbished but there are several things which need attention.
1 Air conditioning not working
2 Under floor heating permanently on (26°c in room)
3 shower fixture broken
4 bath mat slides when trodden on, extremely dangerous
5 bath not properly cleaned, hairs under mat
6 the wine at dinner was undrinkable and had to be changed
On the plus side the bed was very comfortable
The breakfast was very good.

This is not a hotel but extortion

This is not a hotel but extortion. 2.50 EURO just to get some hot water for baby milk. No kettle or coffee sachets in the room .Is this even a hotel ?? .The restaurant with crap food will cost you more than a 5 star Restaurant outside. STAFF ARE UNFRIENDLY UNHELPFUL RUDE like they just want to get rid you.Avoid this dreadful hostel (not even close
to be called hotel ) at all cost.Im not saying this
just because we had a bad experience it's the truth.

Val de France (Disney) - Nothing but a money making machine

LETS BE HONEST - This hotel is purely here to make money, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. It’s cheap and has a great location (val de France next to Disney). Service is poor, rooms are miserable, beds awful, showers shocking, breakfast…. Oh wow it’s disgusting!! (Cooked stuff). But the thing is, for where it is, it’s cheap, and will always be busy, therefore they don’t care about anything.

The only pro is the price, and that’s only in comparison to other places.

Oh, and they advertise “6 free shuttles”. Well I’m currently stood in Disneyland bus station using the real time tracking, and there’s 1 in operation…

Campanile Calais

I cannot believe they charged me £86 for a 1 night stay in a dark dingy dirty claustrophobic room, the room was so small you felt like you couldn't breathe in there, it was very hot, the bed was so uncomfortable my husband slept on the floor! at breakfast the staff were arrogant and unhelpful, would never book this hotel again, the next night I booked a hotel in Aosta called Rendez vous for £80 and it was a lovely room with a balcony and friendly staff.

This hotel is ok if you are on foot.

Campanile Washington is ok if you just want basic accommodation at a reasonable price. IT has most things you want including decent wi-fi and a good bath shower. However, things are starting to look a little run down and the mattresses are getting rather lumpy. Also, the restaurant, which used to do pub grub-the menu board is still outside-now appears to have a limited, overpriced menu. BUT, the big NO NO for this hotel is the carpark. It is run by Parking Eye. I stayed there for three nights in June, logged my reg number with reception and used the car park for my stay. The car was probably parked there for 30/40hours during this time. After returning home I received a penalty notice from Parking Eye wanting to fine me £100 for being in the car park for 2 of those hours. They have an appeals procedure to which I sent a copy of the booking confirmation at the hotel. They rejected this saying it was insufficient evidence. I am still in dispute with them. Therefore, my advice is--if you intend to stay at this hotel--DON'T USE THE CAR PARK.

Campanile (Disney) - Rude and useless staff

Campanile (Disney - Magny le Hongre).

Awful: staff are rude and lie. Booked for 3 adults and 2 Children as offered by the agent site and also offered by the Campanile website also. On arrival told max in all rooms is 4, not a Campanile issue to speak with their partner booking agent. The hotel is like going into a fast food monster restaurant, no proper reception area. Staff were unhelpful to being openly rude.

Would not assist, would not call agent. Lied about max occupancy. They do have rooms which house 5 guests. Refused to provide a copy of the agents booking instruction although it is was seen and clear that there were 3 adults and a note that there were 2 accompanying children aged 7 and 4. I did manage to photo from a distance and it is clear.

Awful and rude receptions staff and manager. Totally unhelpful. Who would want to stay at this hell hole. Offered no alternate solutions or assistance or even provision of an extra room although the hotel was far from full.

Would score Campanile and their customer service as Zero.

If hotel staff could be trained in rudeness, all of the staff we encountered including the supposed manager would gain top marks.

Campanile should be ashamed of themselves.

After an hour of contacts and phone calls the booking agent arranged alternate accommodation at the excellent near by Dream Castle Hotel. Their service was excellent.

Inhospitable

Aubagne- Desperately wanted to use the bar toilet after an hour on the road, they were finishing cleaning. There was no chance after buying a coffee they’d let me use any one of the many available. Inhospitable and not accommodating at all.

Not feeling welcomed.

At breakfast you have to que for minimum half hour, the food is cold and there is a guy in the restaurant staff( sorry can't remember his name) was very rude with the costumers. After he pointing as to the table, we went to take our food but when we come back to the table we found out that he moved us. When I asked him why he's done so he was very rude and he raised his voice. The cleaning team was just done our beds but without changing the sheets or vacuuming. At the restaurant terrace you can give to your children a snack if it is not been bought from the restaurant even if they don't sell that snack. Not recommend.

Campanile Bethune

Campanile Bethune, France. Excellent service from Fanny, restaurant was closed but Fanny supplied pizza followed by either cheese or dessert, a good bottle of wine to swill it all down. She was so friendly and a pleasure to have stayed. Thank you again Fanny and we hope you had a super birthday.

Hotel Campanile Cardiff!!! AVOID!!!

Booked this hotel in March through Amoma.com , fully paid for it there and then, 2 rooms 4 adults in total for a 2 night stay in September. On the Friday before we were due to arrive, so 1 week prior, I received an email from Amoma saying they’d gone into liquidation and to get in touch with the hotel immediately. The following day both me and my dad phoned the hotel inquiring whether our rooms were still confirmed. We spoke to a french man who confirmed, yes, everything is fine, both rooms are confirmed. So the day arrived and we set out on our 2 and a half hour journey to Cardiff. On arrival we were met by a french man at reception and we produced all our confirmation documents, to the absolute shock, both rooms were cancelled and if we wanted to re-book them, then we have to pay again at an increased price to what we originally paid. We understandably were not happy and asked to speak to the manager, however the person we was speaking to, the person that we had been arguing with for the last half hour, was in fact the manager and the same person which we had previously spoke to on the phone confirming our rooms were booked. We asked him several questions in regards to: why didn’t the hotel contact us when the rooms were cancelled? Why, when both me and my dad phoned the hotel, did you say both rooms were confirmed? ( to which we found out the one room had already been cancelled prior to us phoning up!!),to which he had very little response, In fact, the only response he had , pay again or leave!! No management skills whatsoever. The way this so called manager handled our situation was very poor indeed and an overall look into how this hotel is run should be top of the agenda for the owners. I recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs...

Awful customer service

Poor booking procedure. I couldn’t find a rate online, and was directed to call. The person I spoke to was patronising and crude! I was after three rooms room, but initially enquired about 2 rooms, 1 single and 1 double with cotbed (Leicester). He told me the rooms were all suitable for 2 as a standard but would need to gain authorisation to check if an additional cot bed could be included. I was informed of the two price options £42.00 cancellable and £35 non cancellable.
The advisor insisted I select which price option I wanted before proceeding; despite me explaining I was not able to commit until I knew a cot bed can be added. He then said I am not prepared to get authorisation unless you are prepared to book! Well I’m sorry I am not being pressured or spoken to like that. I am a customer and felt belittled by that response. If I don’t feel comfortable or fulling informed of the room
Options I cannot book.

I am currently booked in the holiday inn but I was told the prices here were a lot cheaper and closer to the venue I will be visiting, however after that conversation I will not be moving my booking. Your loss that three rooms you have lost out on, also as the rates were half the price at HI, I would have extended my stay to two night.

The person I spoke to has obviously not had any Customer service skills training, and if this hotel hires people of this nature I hate to think what my stay would be like. Poor poor service.

Our terrible stay at Capanile at Kremlin-Bicetre…

Our stay at Capanile at Kremlin-Bicetre in Paris was terrible.
The standard of the rooms are low - seriously calling for a paint job!
The receptionist are really bad at speaking english - really anything other than french ...
But that's not the end of it, because they also charge very strangely - we were there as a group with several rooms to be paid for separately, but all of the sudden they charged several rooms to my card because I had booked the rooms for all via Hotels.com. Furthermore the withdrawals they made on my card didn't correspond with the receipts given to the room occupants at checkout.
Again this is not all, because the maid (or some hotel employee with access to our room) threw out my dentist moulded and made biting shin costing app. €500 and all the hotel does is trying to avoid responsability and paying damages ...

Campanile Montauban

Poor service and very tired rooms. We had to swap rooms due to a broken shower and it smelt bad (musty) You cannot walk around the bed, and all the furniture is very tired and worn. Even the front door to the rooms don't always lock properly. We had very poor service in the evening at the restaurant, and after 1hour waiting to be served, we ended up leaving and going somewhere else to eat!! We definately will not be returning, even though we will be back in the area again in the near future. Campanile you have lost our business. Hotel B&B offered better rooms and service.

Bed bugs (punaises) in my bed - no refund!

In Paris I was staying at Campanile my first night, and found out the day after I had bed bugs in my bed. I am highly allergic, but no refund was given, and the receptionist didn't believe me! He didn't even want to check the room for me!

I strongly advice against staying at the Campanile close to Tour Eiffel!
