Terrible

Terrible. My son was refused entry to join his friend's birthday party because we were a few minutes late. The reason given was that he couldn't join the briefing and, from a safety point of view, they would not allow him to participate. I understand that. What is not understandable, however, is the conduct of the front desk receptionists. The host requested if a voucher could be issued for my son to come and do it another day, and the response was, "We can't refund because you are late!" A child couldn't join his friend's birthday party and he is already feeling bad. The least you could have done is not make him feel even worse! Terrible attitude, clearly trying to pick a fight, which I avoided. Never going to come back again.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with DFS. The product description on their website was misleading. After purchasing, we were away for a while, and only later realised the product did not match the specifications advertised and would not fit in our room. When we contacted customer care, they said a refund was possible—but here’s the catch: they would deduct an unbelievable £130 for return transport.

This feels like a trick hidden in the small print. The advertisement was incorrect and misleading, and the so-called return policy comes with hefty hidden costs. My advice: read every detail carefully before buying from DFS, because it’s all too easy to be caught out by their misleading ads and expensive return charges.

I am very sorry if the furniture would not fit however, the order was placed online which means no prior discussion was had with yourself regarding your concerns to see if the furniture would fit. It is also the customers responsibility to ensure the furniture fits into their home because we have not been into your home nor seen the delivery route.

I'm sorry you do feel the costs were not easy to find, we aim to make the customer journey as smooth as possible always. To confirm it does state the following in the T&C's regarding returns - this does only relate to orders made online -

'If the Cooling Off Period applies and you wish to cancel please contact us in writing as soon as possible. If you are exercising your right under this clause you must arrange for the return of the Products to us showing no evidence of use within 14 days of you telling us you wish to cancel the Contract. Whilst the Products are in your possession you must not handle them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and function. It is your responsibility to return any Products to our central delivery point in a good condition and we ask that you return the Products in appropriate packaging such as to prevent damage in transit. DFS recognises that many customers do not have the means to return Products themselves, and so we can arrange collection during normal business hours (Monday to Friday). A charge of up to £150.00 will be made to cover the cost of collecting the items. For orders where the delivery charge was more than the standard charge, collection costs will vary and may exceed £150.00. We may also charge you for any usage of the Product prior to collection by us so you should try not to use the Product whilst it is in your possession.'

As you did contact us nearly a month after delivery to discuss returning, you were advised at this stage unfortunately it would not be possible due to this exceeding the 14 days.

There is simply not enough equipment in…

There is simply not enough equipment in the gym. On top of that there are guys who are hogging one equipment for hours, sitting around and chatting for most of the time but won't let others use the equipment. I have spoken to the manager once about such behaviour but not sure if it was taken any seriously. I feel lucky if I get to do the work out I planned to do in the session. Quite frustrating. There is no active monitoring by the staffs if everything is going ok. It could have been way better if the staffs were more active.

Terrible Experience with Swiss Airline: Rude Staff, Chaotic Connections, and Awful Service

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Swiss Airline LX 147. The journey was riddled with issues from start to finish, and I would not recommend flying with them.

Customer Service: The staff was rude and unwelcoming, not even offering a simple "Good Morning." To make matters worse, the seats we had booked were arbitrarily changed at the booking desk.

Check-In Process: The staff at IGI Airport seemed clueless about what is and isn’t permitted in checked luggage, adding unnecessary confusion to the process.

Onboard Experience:
Food: The food was awful. My son was given a vegetarian breakfast even though he had asked for an omelette. To make matters worse, a cabin crew member commented to her colleague, "I thought Indians are vegetarian, and that's why I gave him veg." This comment was unprofessional and insensitive. The cabin crew didn’t even ask me what I would like, and overall, their communication was awkward and rude at best.
In-Flight Entertainment: The entertainment system was archaic and barely functional. The headset didn’t work, the navigation menu was clunky, and the content selection was extremely limited. Audio quality was poor, subtitles were unavailable, and language options couldn’t be changed.
Cabin Crew Responsiveness: Pressing the assistance button yielded no help for almost half an hour. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable.

Connecting Flight: The connecting flight experience was chaotic and stressful. The flight landed late in Zurich, leaving just 10 minutes to board the next flight to Heathrow. Despite requesting priority at security, the personnel refused to assist. Thankfully, other passengers allowed us to skip ahead, but the security and boarding queues were a complete mess, with no clear organization.

Flight Delays: The connecting flight from Zurich to Heathrow was delayed as well, adding to the already stressful experience.

Overall, the experience was terrible. From rude staff and outdated in-flight amenities to poorly managed queues, unhelpful personnel, and insensitive behavior, everything about this journey was frustrating and disappointing. I will not be flying with Swiss Airlines again.

This company has a notorious reputation…

This company has a notorious reputation when it comes to auto-renewals. I’ve been trying to contact them for the past two months to cancel mine, but they only allow communication via live chat. Despite requesting through the chat to stop the auto-renewal after finding a better deal elsewhere, they took no action. Now, whenever I try to reach them again, my chat is immediately closed with the message that a previous conversation is still open. I have no idea how to stop the auto-renewal, and although I’ve taken up a new insurance policy, I’m worried they may still cause issues. I would strongly advise avoiding this company at all costs. Only after I wrote this review they stopped my auto renewal which proves the point that it was very much doable from their end but it was being delayed for some strange reason. My auto-renewal is finally stopped.

Total waste of money

Total waste of money. First I had to pay £5 for contacting the lawyer. Then when I asked the question I was asked to pay £43 for a phone conversation (recommended). So I did in the hope there would something insightful coming out of the conversation. The person called I don't even know if was a lawyer. His answers were kinda common sensical which you and I could guess but far from insightful. For example, he didn't mention any law, or queote the particular section or clause. He kinda guessed and based it on common sense and then at the end "sorry mate" type. This is total waste of money, shame I tried it.

This is the second time it happened - too small items

This is the second time it happened. The products on the sale or otherwise doesn't look to be really on sale. These seems more like faulty items. I have purchased cloths for my 11 and 13 yer old and made sure I actually buy 1 or 2 size extra. The products can be filtered by age in the website. When the product arrived the label says 12 year old (the one fo my 11 year son) but it's visibly small. Last time it happened each and every item looked like are meant for the little kids and not at all for grown up boys. I didn't have time and I couldn't return those. Those are still in with me. All money wasted. I thought maybe I made some mistake. Today I received another set of cloths which I had ordered couple of days back. Almost all (except 1 set of T-shirts) all are terribly small. I had to then return these. Please note return is not free. You have to pay the courier fees which is not less than £2.50. Why should I pay for the return? This is none if my fault!! Overall I have lost confidence on this site to do anymore online purchase.

Terrible service at Halford Hendon

The reason is the centre has no clue what the customer has paid for. I have had this twice now that I purchased something and when they return the car I am assuming that everything that has been promised during the time of online purchase has been done by the center and I do not have to be worried at all. However, that seems to be not he case at all. I purchased the below from National Tyre site online:

However, when I got the car back from the Halford center the report said only two item has been done as below:
MOT Test Class 4 £0.00 £44.99 £0.00 £44.99
Free Safety Check £0.00 £0.00 £0.00 £0.00

There is no CSI for which I paid £24.99 or any other items which were listed earlier.
I called up the Halford center and they said the CSI is a part of MOT!! Then why did I paid £24.99 on top of the MOT price?? No answer.
The Halford center I went for MOT is the below one:

Also, surprisingly the person at the desk was asking for payment at the time of releasing the car. I said I have already paid. No apologies, no remorse, money gone down the drain!

Terrible service

Terrible service, absolutely horrible. I recently purchased Skybroadband. I was supposed to be visited by a Sky engineer to set it up on the 25th July. No one came no one called nothing happened. It has been over 20 days. My old connection which was diconnected before has been activated on which the Sky broadband is terrible. I called up this morning, the first customer care executive started shouting at me and then hanged the phone. Then called up again. This time the guy started telling me it is due to my home setup and nothing to do with their broadband service. He said he will do a video call which I agreed. Then he started telling me how my house should be totally reorganised otherwise he cannot do anything about it. After more than 40 mins of phone call he couldn't fix one single problem I am facing starting from internet disconnection to buffering. I genuinely think Sky doesn't care at all about customer happy or not happy all they care is the money at the end of the month. As long as the money is coming, their customer care executives will continue shouting and hanging calls. Such a pathetic service provided, I made a grave mistake by joining Sky, should never have got myself into this situation in the first place. As I am writing this review my wife complained about internet getting disconnected quite a few times!!

Euphoria mocks are really so useful in 11+ preparation process. The mocks have helped my son to understand the weak areas. The topic mocks are another very useful material to work on specific weak areas. Also all the topic mocks and full mock papers are printable and that is a huge benefit. Overall experience is excellent.

Nothing like the advertisement sounds

Their advertisement sounds quite exciting but in reality it is just the opposite. Once you subscribe for this they will deduct your money. And then complete silence. If you are busy the silence will continue and money will be deducted every month. Then one day you will realise what a scam this is and call them up, there is no one to answer your queries about anything. Your call will go into voice mail and ask you to "leave message". If you keep on calling you get hold of someone who will show absolute indifference towards your problem, without any apologies or anything whatsoever. Stay away from this you would be much better off. I subscribe to lot of other online services, and I must say this was the most frustrating one in terms of everything. I paid them monthly subscrition and received nothing back in return.

We have investigated your complaint and can see you signed up to our English classes over the summer months. Unfortunately, during the summer months we do not run English lessons. We only ran Get ahead Science classes. If you look on our website, we publish a table with the dates for all of our classes. For the 2021-22 academic year, the last classes for English were in June. In July and August we did not run any classes. This is why there were no classes being displayed in your dashboard.

In such instances we would more than happy to offer you a full refund and also provide you with a free credit for our future classes as compensation.

We apologise if you have not been happy with our customer service, and this is something we have fed back to our sales team.
