It's not often I give a 5* review but…

It's not often I give a 5* review but this one is deserving. Arrived at Lamezia Airport (Calabria) to pick up our car. Warmly greeted by the lady and gentleman at the desk under ItalyCarRent. We had a good deal with an additional driver free. They upgraded our car to an almost new Peugeot. Explained about returning it clean etc and the paperwork showed 2 marks which to be honest we couldn't see. Mid way through our hire I discovered that our return time of 18.00 on the day of departure was going to be impossible due to a work Zoom which was finishing too late to make that deadline. I emailed the number which was responded by an English team and they referred us to Calabria. Rang that number and again excellent English spoken. They agreed to extend our return time by up to 90 minutes at no extra charge. On our return journey yesterday we encountered a lot of traffic and were delayed an additional 30 mnutes due to Samhain celebrations en route. Arrived and were again warmly greeted. The car was checked out and within minutes we were on our way into the Airport to find our plane delayed by 45 minutes so all ended well. I always check Trustpilot before booking and generally we use another car hire for Italy but this was a good deal, particularly we extra free driver. So really want to thank the team at Lamezia Terme Airport and say book with confidence.

Stolen Gold Chain and Opal Pendant

I've left it several months as discovered this review site. I finished my class (second last in the evening with one more keep fit class to follow) and collected my shoes and bag from the floor beside me. Unfortunately I had removed a gold chain with an Opal pendant on and left it on the floor also. I forgot to collect it and when I went in to enquire next day learned no cleaning upper space that evening so somebody at the last class didn't hand it in when they saw it. Apart from the sentimental value which is incalculable (received from deceased Mother) it is a fine gold chain and probably quite expensive now. If anybody reads this and it touches a chord and you can help by anonymously returning this please know your positive karma will be strengthened as well as my appreciation for being reunited with this chain and pendant. Thank you.

Was Thinking of Registering but reviews imply very stressful

Was thinking of using this company (recommended online by somebody in Australia) but thanks to Trustpilot I now will not bother. Sounds very stressful, and fancy blocking accounts and not refunding monies within weeks, let alone days. That is just not to be tolerated.

Dependable to date

Using Currensea in Brazil atm. Works really well. Only sometimes I need to insert my code if it's a higher than average bill. The exchange rate varies and isn't great at times.

I've also downloaded to Google wallet but have yet to trial it but must do so soon.
The ability to freeze quickly via phone app is so welcome. My card dropped out of my phone case and not knowing where it was I froze immediately. Card found later and reactivated but if in danger of losing the phone and/or card whilst travelling may opt to keep on freeze until I need to use it. You can also cap daily spend which is good in case it gets into the wrong hands.

Walked into the Vision Express…

Walked into the Vision Express Opticians in High Barnet, greeted and given full explanation of costs, timings etc from the owner himself and booked an appt for 3 days hence.
The Optician I saw was thorough and skilled and put my lens order through. I didn't get the most expensive option so did have a longish wait (5 working days minimum). Got called back for fitting. All well. Then after about 2 months began to have irritation on my left lens and no matter what I did, protein remover tabs etc, it didn't help. Called in and got an appt. Lens was checked and seemed to have degraded ... the other lens was fine. So a replacement lens was ordered and duly arrived. Tested and the fit was good. I mentioned that the vision had been better in my previous lens and she did a further test and added a % to the lens which was sent back again.
A week later I have my new and updated lens and all has been well since then.
On the first day I asked 'how much should I pay' and was told nothing. So 3 extra visits and all included or covered from my first payment. That is excellent service. Thank you VE.

I am only giving 2 stars as the problem…

I am only giving 2 stars as the problem was resolved to my satisfaction but not without my having to do their work for them. Ordered 9 items; returned 4 at my own expense via Yodel. There was no particular form/way to say online what I was returning although I emailed and ensure my details were in the return box with the items. A couple of days following receipt of the package (thanks Yodel for advising of delivery) I get an email to say the cheapest item £2.85 had been credited to my account. I wrote stating what had been returned and asked them 'why would I spend over £3 returning an item that cost £2.85? and since the parcel was obviously received the checker either made a mistake or stole the items. Then I get a request from them for proof of purchase, proof of delivery, the items I had returned ... so again I do their work for them, including now showing proof that the packet had been received. A couple of days later the 'Supervisor' advises me that money has been returned to my card. Never an apology but plenty reminders to leave feedback.
I know the items are cheap, and you can be lucky but the shoes were such cheap quality; canvas top and such a heavy sole that your feet literally fell out of them when I tried to walk. I'm done with this company; life is too short to have to incur such time wasting admin to make up for their shortcomings.

I used to be a member. Tried to Login; didn't recognize password, so the parlaver of changing that. Next I try to login and it doesn't recognize me!

Today tried again! Not recognized. I had to place my order and create a new account. Too much flaffing around so if I encounter this issue again it's goodbye Viking Direct.

I had been insured with this company…

I had been insured with this company previously .... how typical to find that the annual worldwide travel insurances has jumped from roughly £65 in 2020 to over three times the amount today. Can we blame Brexit? Covid? Global Cooling?
Anyway I rang as it wasn't clear to me the geographic divisions and if Mexico was deemed to be part of American and Canada. The nice gentleman I spoke with assured me it wasn't but I took worldwide insurance anyway as it only cost a few £'s extra and gives us peace of mind. So although I would have preferred to have buzzed through the online forms the gentleman was so nice that we talked about many things and I put up with being read the terms of agreement etc.'give him the business'. So high hopes for a positive outcome in case, down the line, I have to put in a claim. Not holding my breath however.

I just last week had delivery of two items I ordered (and paid for) in Nov 2016 - nearly 5 months ago. I had forgotten about them and up they popped. So kudos to them for finally despatching when they got stock. I have ordered a further number of items, some out of stock, so will now trust them to delivery when they're in.

Good price, free delivery, whats not to like

The Swan toaster was the colour I needed (Berry) - same as my kitchen walls and it was cheaper than other colours so very pleased.

Service was quick and had the delivery before Xmas, i.e. sooner than expected. Buy with confidence I would say,
