It's a none profit but we all know how that can be abused with high salaries etc. But I have had some good and unusual wines and although they are as variable as other shippers and the reviews are not... See more

Founded in 1874, The Wine Society is the world’s oldest member-owned community of wine lovers. We put our members before profit to ensure fairer bottle prices for both the people that enjoy them, and for those who make them. Because we don’t need to keep external shareholders happy, we’re able to put profits back into lower prices and services, so our members get exceptional quality in every bottle they buy.

Wine society is by far the best online wine retailer
Wine society is by far the best online wine retailer, in pretty much all aspects, quality and broad range of wines, cost and quality of service. I have been their regular flor over 20 years and could see them going from strength to strength, expanding their range of wines and making their marketing smarter. All of this is crowned by the fact that The Wine Society reinvests profits back to its facilities, wine stock, high quality service, and cost savings to members, i.e. us.
very helpful and efficient good value
All delivered on time
Another good TWS recommendation
I follow recommendations of TWS and by and large these are reliable and tempt me away from my usual preferences. That was the case with my most recent purchase of a case of Chateau Cap du Faugeres 2016. It’s a well-sourced Castillon. Ordering was very easy and delivery by third party courier was on the requested date and a little earlier than the advised time slot.

A great organisation
A great organisation. I can’t afford costly wines and The Wine Society treat me in the ‘budget section’ to a wide range of very good wine. The delivery service is first class.
The Wonderful Society
Excellent wine choice. Fair pricing. Informative web site. Fee delivery. The only on-line wine seller you’ll ever need.
Consistently excellent recommendations…
Consistently excellent recommendations from the society have helped me enjoy wines that I might not have tried previously. I thoroughly recommend The Wine Society for their range, quality and affordability.
As always, a satisfied Wine Society customer,
High quality which lived up to expectations. Efficient and timely delivery.
It's a members' society. Essential for wine lovers.
It's a members' society. so it exists for its members. It's 150 years old. That's all you really need to know. Lifetime membership is £40, but that includes a first-time purchase of £20. You can leave it to someone in your will!

Great selection on wines and always good value. Service is superb, fast and efficient
Why look anywhere else?
Whether I am buying a bottle for everyday drinking or a fine wine for storing, I almost always use the Wine Society because it cannot be bettered for the quality and value-for-money of its wines and the efficiency of its service. This, of course, is owing to the skill and expertise of its buyers and the efficiency and dedication of its other staff. Thank you!
