I run a small electric motorcycle company

I run a small electric motorcycle dealership. On 23 July 2026 Proovia collected a Sur-Ron Light Bee, a fully built electric motorcycle worth £2,600, from our unit in Ramsgate for delivery to a customer in Little Neston. It never arrived.

On 27 July their claims department wrote to me: "unfortunately, we have been unable to locate the bike." They later confirmed they had reported the matter to West Midlands Police as a theft and gave me a crime number and an incident number. Let that sit for a second. This is a 50kg motorcycle. It is not a jiffy bag that slipped behind a shelf. The company that had custody of it reported its disappearance to the police as a theft, and it went missing inside their own operation.

Before it was collected I had written to them specifically warning that these bikes are heavily targeted by thieves, and asking for a signature, a name match against the order and photo proof at handover. They told me photo proof could not be guaranteed.

Since then: I sent the purchase invoice on 28 July as they asked. I asked for the subcontractor's details, the crime reference and whether they hold CCTV of the van arriving and unloading. I got holding replies telling me to allow 3 to 5 business days, then silence, then more holding replies. It took until 12 August to get the crime number and I have never had a straight answer on the CCTV or on who actually had the bike. On 13 August they closed the loop by telling me to go and claim from Shiply instead. Three weeks, no payout, no accountability, and a customer of mine left without the bike they ordered.

The other thing buyers should know is how this company appears on booking platforms. I found them through Shiply, where they quote under trading names that are not "Proovia". I accepted a quote from an account called "FastFrom_ToYou", Shiply's confirmation named the provider as "Fastline", the emails came from "Fast Line Courier", and the claim was handled by an email address with a Proovia domain. Separately, another provider account I was matched with was named as Steel Trans Ltd, company number 09325366, whose sole director is Dragos Rusu, born November 1986, registered at 84 Wood Lane, Erdington, Birmingham. Proovia Limited, company number 10340815, is registered at Office 103, 84 Wood Lane, Erdington, Birmingham, and its director is Dragos Rusu, born November 1986. All on the public register, all checkable in two minutes.

I would also weigh the 4.8 rating here carefully. Many of the reviews here seem obviously fake, with brief comments just signed off in Indian-origin names.

If you are moving something valuable, run as far away as possible from these people.

Longcase clock delivery

Very easy to get a quote to pickup a long ase clock. I was kept up to date about the pickup which was a couple of counties away & the day before delivery. The morning of the delivery I received an update by email which was great. When the delivery van arrived things couldn't have been smoother polite, helpful & efficient.
