I recently wrote an unfriendly review about Shiply.com.
After contacting the support team with my evidence, they regretted to inform me that the Shiply.com I was dealing with was an imposter of their company... Hopefully someone can stop the fraudulent people who expose themselves as reputable companies !! I've simply lost $1500 by NOT insuring that the company I was dealing with was not legitimate. Beware of this ongoing scam !!

Awful Shipley Service - have been good in past !
Absolutely awful experience. Found some rare car parts and paid for premium service with cover for parts delivery. Randomly delivered to my house panels thrown on the drive creases damaged paint and parts missing. I’ve asked for compensation - paid for £400 cover. I tried calling but all numbers do not work. Emails are ignored I’ve filled claims forms. They say looking into it but have gone quiet now and will not respond website is useless too. Can’t speak to courier either. Very disappointed as they have been good for me in the past delivering cars / parts will not use again unless they resolve this but they’ve had every opportunity !

COMPLETE SCAM
An absolute sham. This "brokerage" is scamming people of their deposits and is not at all trustworthy. The website markets itself as legitimately brokering deals between individuals and transportation professionals. The problem is, absolutely NO vetting of companies occurs, there is zero accountability, and you have absolutely no recourse outside of arbitration- in London.
I carefully read dozens of bids, used the feedback tools to read hundreds of reviews, did not pick the lowest bid, individually researched each courier, negotiated a reasonable offer and terms, and then tentatively accepted what I thought would be a convenient and smooth transaction with legitimate parties.
Because there is no vetting of the "professional movers", or any of the individuals actually in charge of the operations, no authentic bills of lading, and no one holding anyone accountable, the result was an absolute CATASTROPHE. The movers not only completely ruined my things, they also smashed a door of the business where the item was being picked up, AND my item was never loaded or delivered. And no one is responsible for any of it.
I contacted the Shiply service team immediately, provided all evidence and communications, and the response that was given was, paraphrasing, "So sorry, we had nothing to do with it, we already have your deposit now which we will not refund no matter how egregious the mishandling was or how many thousands of dollars you just lost. Contact the moving company directly to resolve your problems."
Even though their policy states that they CAN refund your deposit, based solely on their discretion, they will NOT. And that is exactly how Shiply walks away with your several hundred or thousand dollar deposit.
And then they respond to these reviews with disingenuous replys like,
"We are so sorry you had a bad experience, please email us directly..." And you will be sent through another round of emails that resolve absolutely nothing.
If Shiply doesn't like your review, they will have it flagged and then removed, thereby artificially inflating their online "trustworthiness".
DON'T DO IT.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
