I recently fell in love with the Lovey Dovey dress, heavenly 1930 style in green. So in love that I ordered it in red too. Quality is very high, fabric is a pleasure to wear, attention to detail is perfect, delivery ultra fast. This dress is a treat for me, and will mark the fact I am into a process of buying a 1930 house in France. So, a wonderful souvenir for years to come🥰

I am a long time customer and I love Emmy design over the years my skirt and dress has kept up well and I am exited to use my new skirt that I bought from them.

I love emmy design! The collections are always beautiful and high-quality. Especially, the knitwear pieces are my favourites. The designs are so detailed and great processed - something very special.
The support is great and the communication very kindly. The team involve customers in their work (pictures on instagram, asking for design wishes), what I really appreciate. I am really happy I found emmy design - it is my favourite brand. :)

Although your website and items are just wonderful, I am disappointed for two reasons; as my pretty cardigan Susie Q( a dear gift by my son snd daughter in law, who introduced me to your website )had shrinked after being washed at 30° woolprogramm in my washing machine - as it is your advice), I ordered a new Cardigan. When it arrived today I realised sadly that it was not the same colour my former cardigan had ( sage green, but mine way a sort of brighter bluegreen). No problem,I thought, but when I sent it back, shipping costs were 16 €... So it seems hard to support a small, passionate business.

I love Emmy Designs- I've had the webshop bookmarked on my laptop for more than a year! I love their sweaters most, and just submitted this year's annual order. Great style, great shapes, great materials, great service. Their pants and skirts are also adorable, but here comes my one and only gripe (and it won't apply to everyone). Emmy considers all body shapes and sizes except in one dimension: height. Though not stated explicitly, Emmy is created by and for tall women. Which is amazing! For the average (and below, like me) woman though, the pants and skirts from Emmy WILL require hemming. As a 155 cm tall gal, I feel like a child wearing a grownup's clothes. I wish they mentioned hemming on their website more, I think they only mention that they can be made longer! All measurements are included for every garment so it's not a surprise, but some styles won't survive cutting that much off. In a perfect world, Emmy would offer some petite sizes to avoid losing yards of extra material every garment, or at least for their most popular ones. Until then, I'll try sticking to tops and shorter skirts that I'll wear as full length.

Bought "The dearest dame shirt" in "antique white". The cut of the shirt is exactly as the description said it would be. After following the size chart, the shirt should fit you to a T. The delivery was fast and without any problem. I, a very pale person, wore the shirt with a black t-shirt under it, and the shirt was barely visible, so I tested again with only a dark bra on, and the results stayed the same. If you're very against even the slightest hint of your bra or undershirt showing, then pick a darker colour shirt, like the green one, or underwear matching your skin-tone.

My only complaints are about slight fraying at some of the seams, but this could very much go unnoticed or easily be fixed by someone able-bodied. Another little non-issue is about the material of the shirt. With the price of the shirt a more high-end material would have been preferred like 100% cotton, silk, or something. But like I stated, that's a preference and not an issue.

I would say that I'd recommend the shirt to others. A pretty shirt style, with a, although high, price that's reasonable, quick shipping, and accurate size chart.

I have bought several items over the years, my warderobe have more Emmy than any other brand. Safe to say that I love it. It it good quality, I have never had a quality issue with any item. Perfect for my body type and the vintage style is as far as I can tell very accurate. I really like that they provide measurement charts, easy to find the correct size (when web shopping I hate to have to return or exchange ;)). Always helpful costumer service, usually quick reply. But they are a small company, and it is always good to keep that in mind if you dont get a reply within a day.

Just received my Emmy ice skater cardigan it arrived in 3 business days to the UK I am so impressed the colour is lovely just like the picture maybe better. Thank you for your speedy service and replies to my questions would definitely buy from you again

I purchased some items by Emmy Design from a German retailer. I really like the items, a short sweater and a cardigan made of cotton. Unfortunately, many items made by Emmy Design, despite the fact that they are very pretty, are made of wool (like the Ice Skater Cardigan, the Fair-est Cardigan, the Neat Knit Jacket...the Technicolor Dream Tee,the Sweater Girl's Staple Sweater...) Since I am allergic to wool, however, I cannot wear them. I know Emmy Design has also made some items which are made of cotton (like the Susie Q Cardigan and the Topnotch Teatime Cardi) but I hope in the future they will make even more knitwear made of cotton so that allergy sufferers like me can wear their pretty items! Overall I really like this brand and wish it all the best! I am a real vintage nerd and enjoy the styles of the 1920s to 1960s very much.

I ordered Dapper Dame Waistcoat on green. Material and colour are great and also the sizing was reliable. Really sits nicely and looks as good as I hoped. Contact with Emmy as excellent as always

The pay system is a little strange, but I don't think that has anything to do with the Emmy brand. Overall shipping is right on time, everything was neatly packaged. When I opened the first dress a button fell off immediately it didn't take much for me to sew it back on, but I was a little shocked. I haven't opened the second dress yet but I assume it will be just as beautiful as the first. Overall, I understand the time and effort and cost of making a garment and for the price and everything the business stands for it is a pretty penny, but a very fair price.

The coat I got from emmydesign is so magical! I am not joking when I say that even strangers come up to me in order to say how beautiful it is. The quality of the coat is really good as well. The material, stitches and fit are great. The only issue I had was that some of the stitching of the inseam pocket was loose but that was an easy fix since they did send some extra thread. The customer service was also really nice and helpful. I happened to write the wrong adress while ordering but I had no issue in receiving the package. I hope to wear this coat for many years to come and would higly recommend this store to anyone!

Worth every penny!
Though the clothes might seem rather pricey at first, keep a few things in mind:
- this is a small business
- they strive to produce in Europe in order to maintain fair working standards and a low carbon footprint
- the fabrics used are of a much higher quality than that of your typical fast fashion garment
- they produce in small batches to avoid overstock and cater to a wide array of body sizes
- the cuts are absolutely gorgeous and tailored to make you look good (this is not your average potato-bag-shaped H&M dress)

I've ordered a couple of items from their shops and as soon as I'd received them immediately took advantage of an ongoing sale to buy three more pieces of clothing. No need to say that the total amount was quite steep, but in the end, I'm really glad with this purchase. I'm happy that they were made in fair conditions for the workers, they look absolutely stunning (did I mention that I'm 6ft1 with long arms and that the clothes fit me like a charm?), the quality of fabrics and attention to detail is really good for this price range, and I'll keep them for years and years! In the end, I might be spending less than if I were to regularly buy from fast fashion brands, so if you're hesitant to make the switch, try and calculate how much you spend per year in clothing and make the comparison :)

Just got my first order from Emmy Design and I'm blown away by the quality of the materials and design of the garments.
I love vintage inspired clothing in general because it gives the garments a timeless look and makes it so I can wear my clothes for years regardless of the (fast) fashion trends. I'm always on the lookout for high quality durable clothing that will hopefully stay with me for years. These designs are amazing and even though they are inspired by vintage fashion they feel very contemporary in a way.
The quality of the materials is really something else too. Like most of us I’m used to cheap synthetic fabrics so wearing a pure cotton shirt just feels incredible.

Sure, it is on the pricey side, but if you look at what you get, It's totally fair!
Emmy Design uses sustainable fabrics and fair working conditions and that is worth a lot to me.

On top of that I had an amazing experience with the customer service and it felt like they went above and beyond to ensure I got exactly what I needed.

This was my first purchase with them but it won’t be my last for sure.

I have only just received my first order from Emmy Design, so I can't say much about the durability of the items that others have complained about. However, the material and design of the clothes is absolutely outstanding and makes them an utter pleasure to wear. Yes, they are expensive, but small-scale production in high-quality materials is never going to be cheap. Beyond this, though, I must highlight the absolutely stellar customer service. I don't think I have ever received such fast, to-the-point, and genuinely friendly service anywhere. Lisa—with whom I corresponded a couple of times—found a simple and pragmatic solution to a checkout issue that would not let me use a discount code, allowed me to extend the return window on an item that I was not sure fit me well to test it against another size, and gave me detailed advice on a fabric colour that I couldn't judge well on my computer screen. After all this I feel confident that even if I do have an issue with one of the items I ordered, there will be a reasonable solution that the Team at Emmy Design will help me to find. I am a supremely happy customer, likely to become a regular!

Disgustingly overpriced. £130+ for a cardigan is absolutely ridiculous and just pure greed! it's brands like you that make vintage fashion inaccessible because of your ridiculous prices!

I wish I had read other reviews before purchasing from this website. I had an issue with a knit sweater where the collar was frayed/mangled on the left and did not match the smooth collar on the right. I took pictures, which I sent to them, and they agreed that the item was defective. It was definitely not worth the price I paid for it. I would have sent it back for an exchange but they said they no longer had my size, so they offered me a 30% discount in store credit. When I told them I would not accept that and would be returning the item for a full refund, they offered to refund the 30% discount (24 Euros). I did accept that proposal but have not yet seen the refund of the discount. I will not purchase anything from this company again. Skäms på dig!

Beautiful pieces and excellent customer service is what you’ll receive when you buy from Emmy! I’ve been wearing their knits for years now and recently had an issue with a knit unraveling at a seam (i get it, stuff happens!), and they were incredibly kind in their response. They definitely stand behind the quality of their products and are prompt to fix any issues or problems. I understand it must be very difficult to run a small business, but Emmy is nailing it! Not only do they succeed in making beautiful items that are made to last, in the off chance something goes wrong with production, they take responsibility for it and ensure their customers are happy. I cannot say the same for many other businesses, small or large! Thank you for your honesty, integrity, and beautiful clothes!

I love Emmy´s design, the quality of the products and their customer support! Definitely one of my favorite brands! I specifically love their colorful cardigans!

I recently had an issue with some pants and contacted them for some advice, and they very kindly sent me a new pair, promptly! I had a hole in the crotch of my pants and asked about advice on fixing it. It was probably my own fault, as I wore the pants with tights under. But they undertood it, sent me a new pair and a very attentive e-mail :-) thank you for being so amazing!
