I visited Dr Chanda onn 13th Jan for my second cataract surgery as soon as he was finished I knew something wasnt right but i followed the guildance they advised after 3 weeks I still was unable to see, so called the hospital and they said it can take sometime, after another 2 weeks I had a optical appointment and my optician wasnt please with the result and referral me back to the hospital, I see a different Doctor who gave me steriod drops and hoped that would help Still wasnt much better 4 weeks later so i called the hospital to be advised I now needed a cornea Transplant now they have referred me back to NHS hospital to see the same doctor who messed it up in the first place and the receptionist has been extremely unhelpful and told me not to call again as its nothing to do with them. my NHS hospital hasnt recieved any paperwork now Im in limbo due to not fault of my own. PLEASE AVOID

Please double check rates, before you book a private appointment!!! I was literally ripped off by BMI in Aberdeen.
I had experience with private doctors in diferent clinics in London, therefore I didn't expect that prices in Aberdeen can be 5 times higher. On top of that, my visit was more than one hour late. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

I had a total Hip Replacement at the BMI Hospital in Bury St Edmunds on Thursday 25th Feb 2021. The surgeon Mr Al-Hadithi was excellent as were all the staff at the hospital. From entering the hospital on the morning of the operation, right through till discharge on the following Saturday the care and service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for anybody working there and you were made to feel at ease right from the start. This hospital looks very well run,and all the staff and I mean all the staff are a credit to them. So if going to this hospital for any treatment worries you, like it did me. Pleasured this and know you are in safe hands and will be well looked after.

The whole experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish, from the reception to the nurses to the surgeon, everyone was absolutely amazing! I was put at ease when directed to the Lancaster Suite and I wish I got all of the nurses names that I’d met because literally every single one was a credit to the hospital itself, even when I accidentally kept knocking the alarm the nurses would be there in an instant making sure I was okay. My surgeon Dr K Gilmour was amazing, he listened and took my concerns seriously which ended up finding the root of the issue. I cannot thank Dr K Gilmour and The Alexandra Hospital enough for how amazing they were. More than happy to go back (hopefully I don’t ever need to) but if I did, I would be more than confident to go there. THANK YOU!!

BMI Park Notts, Sterilization Reversal Feb 2021 Just want to say, thank you! My experience with you and Mr Pickles from start to finish has been impressive. I feel I made the very best choice trusting you for my sterilization reversal procedure. Day 2 post op and I am home, in minimal discomfort. One day I had no chance of a baby, but now I do and am full of hope! Thank you so much to you, the brilliant and lovely Mr Pickles and all the BMI Staff who put me at ease from start to finish and provided top quality round the clock care, I felt safe with covid, the procedure, the restricions and all aspects! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Bad esperience at the London Indipendent Hospital in Stepney Green.
I booked a private appoiment for an eye test examination and after 6 weeks and numerous phone call and e-mail i still waiting for the referral.
I was recently refused treatment at the BMI Bath Clinic because I would nor wear a face nappy.
I have a valid medical exemption from this brainless behaviour and was attending for Cardiac Treatment.
The Staff were rude, aggressive and dismissive of my condition and a disgrace to their uniform.
They are not heroes. They acted unlawfully.
I would suggest these people go home, take off their uniforms and seek alternative employment, the Prison Service would perhaps be more appropriate to their authoritarian demeanour.
Woebetide anyone who hopes to get attention in their hour of need at BMI Bath Clinic.

I recently had a medical procedure in the Sloane hospital.
The nursing staff didn't treat me with respect and dignity. She had an argument with me over providing me a post procedure recovery note. She didn't give me any discharging information and advice. She lost my medical confidential record file. She behaved in very unprofessional way.

Well what can I say. I had an operation done at the BMI Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle and ive never been looked after so well in all my life. My surgeon Dr Gail Busby is one of the most talented, sincere surgeons you will ever meet. Her knowledge of womens health is vast and she explained things slowly and in a way that i understood.
I was extremely nervous about being put to sleep but i needn’t have worried. I was looked after as soon as i arrived for my day case starting with the friendly porter who took me to the Lancaster Suite. Two nurses then came to see me one was called Megan and she had a lovely student nurse with her. They were so bubbly and friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr Busby came in after and as usual put my mind at rest and took me through everything that would be happening and took her time to tell me. It never felt rushed. Later the anaesthetist came to see me who was such a lovely man and he listened to my concerns over pain killers and respected my wishes when it came to which pain meds I wanted to have. The nurses that took me down to theatre were so comforting and even when i was about to go to sleep they were very caring and attentive and the anaesthetist was very gentle with me. After i woke the care in the recovery room was amazing the nurse constantly monitored my pain and was always offering me sips of water & again the anaesthetist came to see me after to see how i was and what he did.
The nurse instructed the porter to be gentle with me when taking me back to the Lancaster Suite and he was amazing he was telling me when he was turning a corner and when he was reversing etc.
My blood pressure was taken numerous times and i had a giggle with the nurse taking it. The lady who delivered my toast & jam was also really lovely.
I will miss Dr Busby. She has changed my life and I cant thank her enough. I have no pain after surgery which shows what an amazingly talented surgeon she is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr Busby.

I had a successful neck surgery in January 2020 at the BMI Blackheath Hospital.
My room was private and very clean. Staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly, caring and attentive. Special thanks to Stuart H who made my stay even more enjoyable with his jokes and bubbly personality - let’s face it, we all need a bit of cheering up during a hospital stay!
The only negative I would note is that they gave me some paracetamol and cuprofen when I got discharged, and actually charged me for it (after paying thousands of £s for the surgery). The cuprofen charge was £4 and I later bought more from my local pharmacy for £3.19 for the same pack.

All I wanted were some blood tests, thinking it would be less hassle and stress than trying to get them through the GP. It was a great hassle booking this with their useless call centre, then I had to have a telephone consultation with a consultant, he never phoned me, as I was told he would, so I had to rearrange the appointment, just to again explain I just wanted the normal blood tests for CKD.
He told me to go to the hospital reception at 9.30 am the next morning where his secretary would leave me the required forms for the phlebotomy department. When I got there they could not find the forms, it took almost an hour of my hanging around for them to get me the required forms.
After the blood tests I had to make a another appointment to get the results from the consultant. I did not need to pay for a consultant to let me have the results.
All in all it was very stressful and timewasting which was the whole point of what I was trying to avoid by going private. Completely the opposite of their advertising literature.
The cost was a complete rip off £358.47 for the blood tests and £250.00 for the consultant. Total £607.47.
I feel totally tripped off.

Before I began my treatment for a rotator cuff injury, BMI confirmed that my private medical insurance from Westfield Health would cover the costs of any treatments I needed.
This was not true! As 12 months later I received a court document requesting payment to BMI for £995, which also included a CCJ against me.
After numerous telephone calls and months of correspondence to BMI head office and the BMI company's Solictors, both of whom acted with total disregard and ignorance, I was then warned that if I didn’t pay them the full amount they would put a charge on my house and I would lose my home.
I was so devastated and shocked to hear that they would actually take my house from me when it was their own incompetence and administration that made this error.
BMI then instructed their Solictors to add interest to the outstanding balance which increased the total amount to £13.200, all of which is incorrect as this was not my error or fault.
I tried to fight them all the way and I tried to reason with them, but all to no avail as they have all the legal resources and I don’t.
I was also in financial difficulty but BMI didn’t care or even try to understand, so I had to agree to pay them in monthly instalments otherwise I would be homeless.
This will take me 5 years to pay.
BMI are a despicable company and they should be ashamed by their unprofessional conduct, and their total lack of integrity is appalling.

After having received an email confirming my consultation and advising I would be liable to pay if I didn’t attend, and also phoning first thing this morning to confirm my appointment was indeed going ahead, I have had a call cancelling my consultation with 4 hours to go!
If you aren’t offering services don’t let customers book consultations.
I won’t be using BMI for my procedure in the future, ridiculous waste of time.
I had a breast augmentation in December 2020 at Kings Park Hospital and I cant thank the nurses enough. From checking in to checking out they were extremely friendly, very helpful, knowledgeable and caring.
The surgeon was very thorough and explained everything carefully and ensured I was happy before commencing with the procedure.
The surgery itself went smoothly and I am healing great, my breasts are getting there and I'm extremely happy.
The catering staff were lovely. A lady took my dinner and breakfast order and brought my dinner in later on as I had missed "dinner time" due to my surgery. The food was really good! A nurse even got brought me a teapot of hot chocolate at 2am because I couldnt sleep. Very thoughtful and very welcome!
Would recommend this hospital to anyone!

5 months after surgery I have had enough!!!My lips are botched! They are uneven and have not shrank to the desired size. The hospital and even the DR admitted that they/he failed. However, he insists that I must pay an additional whopping £800-£900 for his own mistake. He removed 8-9mm of tissue yet my lips are STILL big and definitely are not 8mm smaller. There is no denying because no one can tell ive had surgery and the before and after pictures do not lie.
Cheadle Alexandra Hospital
Lancaster Ward Staff Excellent, all kind and friendly. The Health Care Assistants both Outstanding!!!
The house keeper ensured when allowed i could have a warm meal and a lovely cut of tea.
Sister was so kind and helpful.
Linn in theatre was amazing. I was nervous and with sedation she looked after me so very well such a kind lady.
The male theatre staff nurse no sense of humour but the ladies all made up for it.
Thanks to my wonderful care assistant, he was awsome and escorted me to my partners car.
Thank you hospital staff for looking after me

Do not use BMI. I have had so many problems with them. They have a standard invoice on access for around £500. No breakdown on invoices . Stay away from this RIP OFF!
