Cant diagnose medical issue

I attended rosshall bmi crookston road with a problem when i walk which raidiated around my hip , on seeing doctor i told him this problem affects my heart rate also , he told me this will be back problem , even though i argued it feels like muscular issue but would not listen to me 4 doctors later loads of test only to find out 14 months later this is vascular to my horror , so it took 4 doctors and 14 month to diagnose this , there was a delay due to consultants not comunicating with each other , no vital checks on blood pressure or check on my heart , they even refered me to vascilar department at rosshall which they dont even have , thank god i was refered to nhs by doctor kettlewell as i needed an angioplastsy to fix this problem , if the first doctor had checked my blood flow on first visit this delay would not have happened , worst experience ever and i would not let any family member attend this hospital , no wonder its called circle health group it was like going in circles ,BEWARE

Never book any appointments for your children

Unfortunately, I had to book an appointment for my daughter. I really wanted her to be seen asap so did everything I could do to go private. I was sent a doctify link from my private health insurance and the earliest appointment was in almost 2 weeks time. I had to follow this procedure. I could not book directly with the The Blackheath Hospital. I had to make childcare and work arrangement in order to be able to attend. And they just cancelled the appointment the last minute. I will quote their email below:

Should you need to rearrange your appointment, or if we can help with anything else, please call us on .

meaning we even will not be bothered to provide you with a phone number on top of not providing any service at all.

When I finally got in touch with them, I was very shocked by their attitude. They told me I had to book it directly with them and no way I could use the online form. So I had to ignore everything my health provider told me, go to their web site and thoroughly look for terms and conditions and then maybe they would not cancel my appointment. No one even tried to call me, no one tried talk to me before they cancelled the appointment, they just cancelled the appointment and did it last minute on purpose. Even if you literally call them 5 minutes later, all they can do is to offer an appointment in 2 weeks. No way I will wait for 2 more weeks and where the guarantee is they will not cancel it again. And it is private (!) medicine where you pay a lot of money. Please do not contact this hospital as your appointment can be easily cancelled last minute just because it was not booked when it was full moon, for example. I have lost time and now I need to look for urgent medical help for my daughter.

Good afternoon Elena,

I'm really sorry that you & your daughter have had this experience with The Blackheath Hospital; this doesn't align with the high standards we strive for in all aspects of patient care.

So we can investigate why this has happened, could I kindly ask that you email us at her etohelp@circlehealthgroup.co.uk with your daughters full name, date of birth & postcode? I will then raise this with the hospital management team to find resolution & update you throughout.

Kind regards,

Dr Dafalla

My father recently saw Dr Dafalla, Consultant neurologist at BMI Huddersfield. I cannot really rate the experience highly enough. The reception was very efficient and we saw Dr Dafalla on time without having to wait.
Dr Dafalla was a very kind and patient doctor who engaged in a sensitive way with my 82 year old father. His diagnosis was accurate and the medication he prescribed has transformed my fathers condition. We are all very grateful for his detailed and thorough clinical assessment.

LAPAROSCOPY SURGERY 10/10

Had a lovely experience with Mr Nnochuri who is an consultant and gynaecologist at BMI independent hospital. He was very polite, very helpful and explained all my problems for me in full detail.

I deal with severe pelvic pain aswell as painful periods and Mr Nnochuri explained this well enough in full detail what my problems were. I am so happy with my surgery, he was able to remove endometriosis and able to support me well continuing on with this condition.

Many thanks to the nurses aswell that helped me during this time.

Would definitely recommend for surgery!

Surgery cancelled at last minute - Resolved

I was booked by the NHS for a Total Knee Replacement at The Chaucer Hospital on September 15. I had seen my GP the previous November once the pandemic subsided and the process was set in motion. My mobility problem had become steadily worse and the September 15 surgery date was like a light at the end of the tunnel. By the last month I was counting the days. It would be a life-changing event. I went to the hospital on the big day and an hour or so before my surgery was due to begin the surgeon arrived to meet me. He examined my legs for about two minutes, checked his notes, and then declared the surgery cancelled.

It seems his examination revealed that I had been booked for the wrong surgery: a Total Knee Replacement rather than a Total Knee Replacement with Prosthetic Ligament, which 'we don't do here.' He said the referral letter had been rather short and sketchy. Apparently he did not question any gaps in information on the referral letter when he received it. I had been at The Chaucer Hospital on August 30 and September 12 for "pre-assessment" appointments, and I would have made the trip again if the surgeon himself had wanted to assess me any other time. Within minutes of meeting me on the day of my surgery he was gone.

It took me a while to process the information but it sank in that I was expected to just go home and await another call (which hasn't come as of this date -- Sept. 23). I will take the memory of that afternoon to my grave as one of the more unhappy episodes in my life. That was an appallingly late and abrupt change of plans for such an appallingly needless reason.

I was contacted by the management of Chaucer Hospital very shortly after writing to them about my experience. They immediately reviewed the incident and adapted their process to ensure that such a late cancellation will not occur again. I am impressed by their prompt, kind and effective response to feedback. I had given them a one star rating as my surgery had been cancelled at the last minute. However, I would give them five stars for their responsiveness to feedback.

Tinnitus - No known cure so why bother seeing us

My wife suffers from tinnitus so we booked an appointment to see an ENT consultant as she has suffered with this most of her life and it is getting progressively worse.
At the start of the consultation proper my wife was told there is no cure for tinnitus and they are not conducting any research so he could have ended it there and then because that was all we were interested in. But instead he started going on about having an MRI scan to check about her hearing which is not what we came for I assume this was probably to justify his fee.
Also we were informed there some things you can try to help relieve tinnitus like avoiding stress , my wife is self employed and just gone through a pandemic so that's never going to work
So in conclusion waste of time and waste of money (£200 for a 5 minute consultation) can’t be any other industry where it’s ok to take money from you and get nothing in return

Highfield Hospital - AVOID.

Some of the staff members at The Highfield Hospital were just plain horrible.

I woke up from general anaesthetic in pain and was given morphine. This knocked me back out. I woke up confusion and nauseous. When I communicated this the nurse demanded to know WHY I was nauseous - utterly baffling. What did she think that I'd done some cartwheels when she wasn't looking?

Cue getting back to my room I asked for some water as my tongue was sticking to the roof of my mouth and the same nurse said "you've had water"! When I pushed she genuinely made an "ugh" sound and stomped off! No explanation or anything, I only wanted water.

A few hours later I was still feeling ill and I met the rudest person I have ever dealt with in a private hospital or in the NHS.

Gareth came in and called me sleeping beauty (in a very snarky way) and told me I "wasn't trying hard enough" to eat the sandwich that was literally sticking to my throat while slipping in and out of consciousness. When I said I kept falling asleep he said "you can sleep at home" - as though I was choosing to keep falling unconscious.

I didn't think at the time to come back with the fact that I could actually eat at home too. He was unbelievably rude to both myself and my mother who ended up in tears over the way I was treated.

I was also told that I "elected to be there" in a very condescending way by one of the nurses. Getting cut open is not my idea of a fun day out, I had the procedure because it was necessary and elected private as it was quicker, she was genuinely acting as though I wad there for the laugh.

I was discharged in a rush and given no guidance on how to care for my wound. I was given a sheet which had 7 "delete as appropriate" options that they hadn't bothered to fill out and was given no oral instructions.

Abysmal service. I will be asking if my consultant can see me literally anywhere else in future and will not be returning. I probably could have done with staying the night but did not feel comfortable remaining there.

Jimmy the porter and the nurse who did my admission were amazing. Everyone else I met barring my consultant was condescending and rude.

The worst experience with a private…

The worst experience with a private hospital. Me and my partner were at BMI Outpatients Blackheath Hospital and experienced quite an array of poorly organized events: 1) challenge to get through phlebotomy department to arrange blood test - I called 5 times in the space of 3 days numbers provided by the hospital itself before eventually someone picked up.
2) they've made a mistake calculating number of blood test vials needed, so I needed to come back to repeat the tests. No critical, but unnecessary.
3) during ultrasound my partner wasn't allowed to come with me in the room, even though it's in hospital rules to have a chaperone / close person to be there just because it "was inconvenient".
4) the specialist seemed to be irritated by my questions, saying "let me do what I need to", without elaborating much on her observations and generally not being very nice. Whenever I asked anything, the responses very dry and quite generalistic. My past ultrasound examinations in other places were very informative in the moment, but this specialist didn't seem to care to provide that information.
5) It's also very dark and narrow in the basement where they have imaging department.
The nurses were great, the only positive we've seen there.

I paid privately for an operation last Year.
I was not happy with the outcome & I went back to be told he will rectify the problem.
I fell pregnant so I was offered to have it done once baby was born.
I gave birth and emailed to rebook an appointment they booked me in but unfortunately couldnt attend due to my 6 WEEK OLD having covid.
I tried rebooking but was told they wont see me now.
I was promised that they would rectify the issue that the opp has caused as it was not done properly. I have emailed and said if you won't do it again i want my £1900 BACK. I was told no as the operation was done perfectly which no it wasn't!
I have to now go further with this to try and get it back
If they weren't going to do it again and correct their mistake surely i should be allowed my money back as they said they would do it again once baby was born. FALSE promises. How they can do this to a single mum is beyond me. I saved up for a long time for this, to now it all be chucked down the drain & still in pain and unhappy with it.

Poor admin. and conflicting price information

I felt the hospital administration failed me. The treatment package I chose was a fixed price of £7,797 and included post-operative treatment prescribed by my surgeon but the hospital insisted on further fees. In spite of both the Terms and Conditions, and my surgeon confirming that physio fees were included, Cavell Hospital was relentless and heartless in pursuit of extra fees of £120.

Great Physio care at Manor Hospital after surgery

I had a partial knee replacement in May, the physio I received from Maureen Wicks was excellent, she was very patient on the day following my surgery and since then has really looked after me ensuring I had the necessary exercises to ensure I got back to having full range of movement in my knee. She is a very lovely person, very knowledgeable in her field would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a physiotherapist.

The most rude person on the phone for NHS park ends (from they make a lot of money) she was so aggressive and rude. Kept insisting when I rang to sort out an issue with an appointment that she knew who I was because she heard me taking to her colleague and wouldn’t listen to me. Eventually she told me I was Margaret someone which I am not. Then when I asked to speak to a manager said she couldn’t hear me and would ring back and didn’t.

The hospital seem to be a total mess. I have an appointment tomorrow. I have letter for it. I rang to change it for to cancer appointments elsewhere and was told I didn’t have an appointment at all and that a manager would ring me back. They didn’t.

Half an hour later a text message arrives saying attend or I will be charged for it … so I rang back and got this appalling rude young woman
