Good treatment and good nursing. However it was obvious to me that my 79 year old wife needed a further 24 hours in hospital to recover properly, and the consultant who did the operation agreed. However the Saxon Clinic wanted her bed for someone else and strong-armed me and her into discharging her prematurely.

Sania (Physio) seems to run patient care. Is excellent but she is left doing jobs other people should do.
I could not get through to BMI stepney on the phone for 3 days causing anxiety as a patient. This was to book my pre op assessment. Was told staffing issues. I reported to main switchboad for the group daily.
Nothing changed.
Shout out to my consultant, his team for excellent job on operation and again Sania for her care.
Special mention to Anne in administration, Nurse Grace. The nighttime nurses Namia, Hannah and Sadie for their attentive care. And Altrek day nurse. Also Sylvia in catering who went above and beyond to sort out meals ( was never asked or given a menus during my stay and she personally sorted out)
It is clear BMI Healthcare have serious staffing issues. The upper administration would do well to address this and sort out a.culture of understanding for staff who do.a.fantastic job.
Its a shame I would not recommend BMI as I work in corporate company and never rever colleagues.
In the responses from @Georgia at headoffice are shoddy. Directing patients to a generic email is not it.
Will not be using BMI again

Absolutely shocking hospital!!!
My 80 year old mother had been building herself up for a spinal operation as she had spinal stenosis and saw consultant Mr Deniz ( who should be struck off!) I came up from London to look after her following the op, left my family and work. I dropped my mother off at the hospital, only to be called by her an hour later saying they wouldn’t be doing the op!!!
Apparently this man had asked how was the pain in her leg???????
She said I have spinal stenosis, it’s in my spine?????
He then said oh I know someone who is a good surgeon and can fix this.
My mother had seen this consultant several times and knew what she was there for!!!
Absolutely disgusting behaviour and my mother now has been shocked so much she suffers with depression and anxiety and will not leave the house. We wrote a long and informative letter months ago say all this and we have heard NOTHING FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!!!
This is the Duchy at Harrogate.

Having developed a inguinal hernia just before the start of the pandemic I was referred by my GP to the BMI Ridgeway, Wroughton. After several understandable delays, and varying amounts of pain and limitations to daily life, I was admitted as an NHS day patient in July 2021.
The whole experience was professional, efficient and ultimately successful. Within a short period of time I was back to cycling and other excercise with no problems at all. Thank you to my Surgeon Christopher Thorne and the entire medical team who completely exceeded my expectations.

Just logged a complaint re. the BMI Highfield Hospital. Awful awful awful experience. Will go social media if not compensated for the several hours spent chasing to resolve matters. As a self employed person, this has been a nightmare of a time. Very shocked that private healthcare is operating worse than the NHS.
Edit - have since received the shoddy reply below and a response from the BMI hospital - funny that all the times i was complaining to the staff, none of them thought to correct their errors, or help, just passed me pillar to post, and only when someone goes public live, references the CQC and wanting to lodge an official complaint, do you get responses like the one below and phone call from the hospital. Really shocked at what people think they can get away with in their day jobs these days!

I have been a patient at BMI Priory Edgbaston since February 2021. The service and consideration given by the medical staff has been reasonable but not really satisfactory and feels like it is being drawn out as my insurance company is paying the bills, i.e come back and see us again at such a time, we'll do this next time. So after numerous appointments, am still no further forward and my own doctor has been very surprised at the extended time frame. I made a formal complaint to their Clinical Services Director (M.Pearson) who stated they would investigate and a response would be within 14 days (under their own promised code of conduct). So after near 6 weeks of chasing, still no legitimate response despite their assurance and the reply I have had from that person was utter nonsense in relation to the complaint. They do not make you feel like a patient but just as a customer. Based on my own experience, I would not recommend.

Firstly I'd like to point out that all medical appointments with this hospital BMI Woodlands Darlington were not an issue. However the downfall with this hospital lies with their admin/billing department. What an utter sham! All treatments have been paid for by medical insurance with no complications what so ever, however an invoice landed at my door for an MRI scan for the sum of £595.68 No covering letter explaining why, or if the insurance had rejected it etc. Rang BMI to try and sort out. Long story short after solicitors involved, and threats of CCJs, it seems that BMI Healthcare are charging for their own clerical errors, leaving me personally set to receive a CCJ for what is an admin error on their behalf. Also I've later learned that the insurance company were billed under a different invoice number for a significantly less amount (£451.00) than the 'self pay' invoice I was issued (£595.68) ??? How is this acceptable? And how can invoices be chased up when invoices numbers and amounts are changed to suit BMI Healthcare. This is still ongoing at the time of writing this, with no real pro-active assistance from BMI Healthcare in resolving this issue to date. Avoid at all costs, the inability to carry out simple admin tasks seem to be beyond this company.
I SHALL UPDATE THIS ENTRY AS AND HOW THIS CASE PROGRESSES

I recently visited the BMI Ridgeway Hospital for a blepharoplasty and I received excellent care. The surgeon Mr Thamir Yasen is all about the patient, caring, attentive and funny. A lovely man who has restored sight for 1000's and 1000's of patients. I would totally recommend him for this type of cosmetic surgery as he is an expert when it comes to your eyes. So happy with my experience and in awe of him and the staff at the Ridgeway. A huge thank you from me.❤

DAY LIGHT ROBBERY CHARGES.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS...
CHARGED £205 for 10 minutes consultation. Have started complaints procedure.. I can't mention the consultant name yet due to ongoing case, but I can say ENT consultant ??
UPDATE.
--------
As a reply to you regarding my Google review.
You are saying you cannot be responsible for consultants fees even though they work under BMI clinics therefore as the consultants work under a self-employed basis I can legally name the consultant as ENT surgeon Mr Mark Draper
Please note everybody (patient's)
Acording to the The General Medical Council. A initial first consultation should be between 20 to 30 minutes.

Had a shoulder operation at bath clinic and would just like to say the care I received from the receptionist to the nurses to Mr Chambler,s team was outstanding.
Thank you very much for all your help and speed of organising tablets, work note, physical guidance etc.
Very impressed

Very bad service. Operation kept on being cancelled at last minute, no communications. Never booked in follow up appointment, finally got it arranged which kept on being cancelled and rebooked for ONE MONTH later! Called up and miraculously got an appointment 2 weeks later (although still 2 weeks late).
Complained but they just don't care. Have failed this patient!
Oh, and please don't send a standard response saying to email in. Everyone at the BMI Clementine Churchill is aware of this, so please contact them if you really care about resolving it.

Having lived as an expat in several countries and now returning to London I am utterly shocked at the level of service at this so called ‘private hospital’.
I was pleased with the initial consultation with a orthopaedic surgeon, but then came the awful experience with the imaging department whose quite rude staff made me wait for eons to book an appointment, and then cancelled the MRI as their radiologist didn’t like that I had a medical implant - despite the fact that I have had several MRIs in Canada and Asia with no objections at all, and which highlights the ill training of staff at BMI. And don’t consider trying to contact the BMI by phone as the switchboard is permanently busy.
This is by far the worse example of fee paying medical care I have experienced.

This hospital are nothing but thieves they book you a appointment with a doctor for a consultation who then tells you he is going on holiday 2 days later, obviously after they have taken my £250 to tell me if I wish to go ahead with my operation I would need to pay another £250 for another consultation after knowing I needed the op ASAP who books someone in with a doctor who is going on holiday and will not be able to perform the operation, this just seems like a money making scam to me. Disgusting and disgraceful way to treat people who are not well and wanting to get well and using the last bit of money to pay for this.

Update: I was invited to a new appointment. Unfortunately, I have just had knee surgery and I cannot attend this appointment. I have called 7 times to the number provided and 2 times to a different number I was given to try to reschedule my appointment. It is just impossible! Not body seems to be able to do it and they keep on transferring me somewhere else just to be advised, after 15 minutes waiting on the line, that this is not the correct number and that my call will be transferred yet again …
This is just ridiculous. I had never experienced this level of poor customer service. This must be some kind of world record. It would be funny if I were not feeling so bad and in need of medical assistance.
On 5 August I was booked for an appointment on 19 August. When I arrived I was informed that my appointment has been cancelled for some reason and that a new appointment had been made for 26 August. On 25 August they called me to tell me that the doctor would be late and that they couldn’t guarantee a 9 am appointment. The very same day around 9 to 10 pm they called me twice (I didn’t hear the phone and I didn’t think my healthcare provider would be calling at this time). So the next morning and before my appointment I called and the lady I spoke with didn’t even know about this previous calls and the fact that the doctor would be late. I asked how I could cancel or postpone my appointment and I was told that they couldn’t do that on that number and that I had to call a different number (after waiting in line for 15 minutes by the way).
It is absolutely disgraceful how they treat people in need of medical attention with no respect whatsoever to their patients’ time and responsibilities.
I will definitely be going somewhere else, I just hope that my situation doesn’t get worse in the meantime because these people couldn’t manage a respectable appointment system and have some respect for other people’s time.

As an Executor for the Estate of someone who paid into the NHS all their lives and who turned to and trusted BMI/Doctify.com with their treatment during the time of Covid, I would say, BUYER BEWARE. Having paid up-front, even after death (and questionable treatment and advice) his estate is still being chased for money. Dealing with their bureaucracy and evasion is also exhausting.
**Update** - Over 1 year after death of my relative, neither the consultant (Streeter) nor BMI/Chaucer have provided proof that he agreed that separate additional invoices for NHS care would be issued. Yet still chasing £10k from his executors!
AVOID!

Just finished a series of physio appointments with Scott at Chelsfield Park Hospital, which I found to be very beneficial.
I had a mixture of telephone and face to face sessions which has really helped my recovery from a recent hip replacement operation.
Scott also sent me a li k to some instructional videos showing how to undertake the execises which were really useful.

This is my review and not my wife,s. My wife has had an appointment for a hip replacement for some time and today was the day 16th August 21, she has isolated for 2 weeks, done all the instructions, washing, eating etc, got up at 6 am today to be there, which we did. She got booked in, a bed, awaiting whatever to be done and then was told we can,t do it you are going home, and come back in two weeks! It appears that there was a problem with an anaesthetist having to go wherever. Surely in an organisation as the NHS , there must be more than one of these people to stand in. Then also why was she not able to be done the following day as she was already in attendance. We are very grateful for the opportunity of the operation, but what a let down, not a thought for the stress this causes.

As an NHS patient I was treated at The Alex for a THR by Mr Jamil. Throughout his consultancy he was sympathetic, professional & encouraging.
My stay of 2 nights was excellent. The private room was clean, comfortable & had everything I could need. The nurses, physios & OT’s were also brilliant. Also want to mention the anaesthetist & theatre team who were just lovely in preparing me for the operation.
I recovered really well & 6 months post-op now, I feel great!

I had my first total hip replacement done at The Alexandra Hospital back in July 2019. I could not have asked for more exemplary care. From my amazing consultant, Nick Kenny, to the pre-op team, nurses, hospitality staff absolutely everyone was kind, caring, friendly and determined to literally get me back on my feet. My other hip is scheduled for December and I have no concerns whatsoever as I know I am in the best hands.
