I booked my surgery through a 3rd party. Had to chase admissions paperwork, waited 45 minutes past my pre op appointment time and then they cancelled with 48 hrs notice. A reschedule date was offered for 3 months later!
Will never use them again. My experience has been awful and financially disadvantaged me. No better than the NHS.

I don’t recommend no one to book an appointment with BMI London Independent Hospital. I'll explain:
I add a referral letter from my GP to book an appointment with any hospital of my choice. I chose BMI and did the booking. Three days to my appointment I received a text message from BMI staying that my appointment was cancelled and rebooked for 7 days after the original booking.
The day arrived and I received a call from them around noon and I was told that the consultation will be by phone, the doctor will call me. I waited for the call that never happened. 3 days after, still no call, I called my GP and explain what happened so my GP rebooked me with Royal London Hospital and gave me a link with details. On the link, it says if I don't hear from them by November 15 to give them a call. So, I called Royal London Hospital today and my surprise was that I was told that BMI was put on the system that I missed the appointment. The one I'm still waiting for the doctor call.
Too much incompetence and lies for me so I decided to share my experience with BMI London Independent Hospital with everyone.
I hope this will help a lot of people to be wise when it comes to BMI.
Good luck.

Whilst attending the BMI The Ridgeway Hospital for cataract surgery recently, I was most impressed with the care and attention of the staff, and the excellent surgical skills of my surgeon. Every detail down to the tea and sandwiches after my surgery was great. I have nothing but praise for the team! Thank you!

BMI Aberdeen.
Exceptional and Excellent professional service from consultant Mr Duthie, and the entire surgical team. Could not have wished for better. Thank you for your care and attention
The admin staff without exception are completely unaware that the customer is king and seem to fill there days doing what they want and not what is needed for the patient. Patient queries seem to be an utterly unnecessary interuption to their working day . Surly, ignorant, unhelpful, distaneful amateurs, who would have no place working it Premier Inn never mind a private hospital charging £14000. ( Didnt mean to insult Premier Inn)
If you ever need to phone BMI Aberdeen set aside 2 hours. Once you get thru, normal wait around 30 minutes, their automated answering system then seems designed to take 15 minutes to take you back to the start. Best advice make a selection which you dont want and you then eventually get a better chance of an actual person rerouting your call correctly.
The admin side of BMI Aberdeen shames the excellent work of consultant and their excellent medical team. As the admin chaos obviusly comes down from the top, that person needs either re training on cutosmer care in 2021 or a serious talking to by their medical collegues

the response below completely ignores the 2nd paragraph of my original review, whilst the response in itself personifies the problems BMI Albyn Admin have with the admin staff. ie ignoring and/or being selective in customer care .
Given the £14000 charge neither my review nor BMI's response of course should not have been necessary, but to their shame it was. It's apparent that BMI Admin are using their customers as their qualiy control.

After a 6 hour operation,I was brought back to my room left for hours at the bottom of the bed unable to move up.
Then I was left on a bed pan for over 2 hours.wasn’t offered a hot drink until 15 hours after the operation.
Pain medication was late left pressing the buzzer for hours.
The nurse who was looking after me was such a bully I was at my weakest and she new it.
I made it to the bathroom assisted by her roughly then she said that she would be right back. I had to go back to the bed alone after hours of sitting on the toilet crying waiting for someone to help me.
My consultant and his team were amazing
The aftercare was horrendous
I’m writing this so maybe it will not happen again to someone else when they are at their weakest .

A day patient at 3 shires in Northampton. Arrived on time; shown immediately to my room. Staff very professional and attentive. Clear explanations given at each stage. Procedure completed promptly and successfully. Four course meal provided to my selection and discharged home the same day. Couldn't fault any aspect of the care. Wholly recommend it.

Initial hospital stay was good and consultant (an independent one) was amazing. Aftercare in outpatients is atrocious. It’s really hard to call them to book any form of outpatient appointment or to change/cancel one. They’re always late for any appointment, quite often by 30 minutes and if you have an issue with your stitches or an infection come at the weekend forget it. No one answers their hospital phones and the national numbers are all closed for the weekend.

I had ultrasound done to research reoccurring UTIs. Ultrasound itself was fine but once I wanted to get my results and doctor notes emailed to me this turned out to be impossible as no one seemed to know who at the hospital can send these over. Still haven’t received them.

Reception Second Floor - run by kids who can’t even booked you in with the right doctor. Turn up for my appointment only to be sat in front of a doctor who I wasn’t under and was more confused than me!

To start with I brought from you from the form available in my room and filled it in BUT where do I sent ii to ???
There are NO address any where . I got one of the internet !
Having overcome that hurdle I need a rest . PITY ! I had a lot to say .

I attended the BMI clinic in Bath and have nothing but praise for the staff who looked after me. Covid is obviously causing some difficulties with staff cover, but those I came into contact with showed nothing but care for me - right from the blood tests and ECG scan to the operation I had to undergo - and always seemed to have a 'can do' attitude. Though I was due to be a 'day case', I was not fit to be discharged that evening so I was looked after that night and released the next day. I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic given the experience I have had.

Extremely horrible experience delivering there, due to a manager called Denise and her unprofessional demeaning and quite frankly disgusting approach towards me.

Poor booking service. I have been trying for two days to try and book an appointment with my consultant and no one is picking up the phone. Having to deal with a constant recorded message is simply not good enough. It's unfair on the patients and the consultants who choose to use your facilities. Poor customer/patient experience.

Recently had a foot operation at BMI Bath.
The care & attention was excellent. The procedure was thoroughly explained and I was able to meet & talk to the anaesthetist and consultant prior to Proceedure.
Food was good as was the room.

I stayed at BMI Ridgeway, near Swindon. I am very pleased with the operation. The Surgeon, Anaethetist & Nurses were excellent. Also I cannot fault the food.
The room that I stayed in overnight (no.1) was a bit shabby and is in need of a makeover.
There was a stain on the floor that had been cleaned, but looked at if dried blood around the outside was still visible. When you're lying in bed and looking up you can see dead flies in the light fitting. The Philips TV is ancient and many of the freeview channels are not available. The room has been painted af some time, but there are splashes of paint on the wooden shelf below the TV and the cabinet around the bed.
Having a USB socket or a 3 pin plug (to charge your phone from your bed) would of been useful. I would of had to get out of my bed to plug in my charger, which is not always possible. (Although I'm sure a nurse would of plugged it in for me).
