A great firm

I have had always great experiences when dealing with Robert Crossley. They are highly professional and reliable at a time you need it. Recently Ben Thomas has dealt with some very tricky issues and he handles them with clarity and ease. I was very impressed. I would highly recommend the firm and Ben himself.

Efficient, reliable and friendly service

I instructed Ben following issues with a previous conveyancing solicitor when it became apparent they had done very little in over 5 months.

I have used Ben before and he is very efficient, methodical and friendly. Ben did a fantastic job recovering the conveyancing on my purchase.and did more in just a few weeks than my previous solicitor had managed to do in over 5 months.

Thanks Ben for making the process as smooth as it can be. I would definitely recommend you in the future.

I would not use anyone else for my conveyencing. I stumbled across Roberts Crossley about 7 years ago via a google search and lucked out and got Ben Thomas from RC. He was polite, professional and efficient. The progress update portal they offer was a godsend and meant I didn't have to chase for things, and Ben always returned my calls and kept on top of all correspondance. My business is in property rentals and I have now used him many times and always get great service - he is the only conveyencer I would use going forward and I could not recommend him & RC more highly.

Selling my house

I recently had the pleasure of working with a truly outstanding firm to sell my house, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, their professionalism, expertise, and dedication were clear. Robert Morrison guided me through every step of the process with confidence and clarity, making what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. His knowledge of the market was impressive, and he provided honest advice that helped me make the right decisions at the right time.

What really stood out was his communication. I was kept informed throughout, and any questions I had were answered promptly and thoroughly. It was clear he genuinely cared about achieving the best possible outcome for me.

Thanks to his hard work and strategic approach, my house sold quickly. I truly felt supported the entire time, and I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

An excellent service from start to finish.

We were very happy with how Alicea…

We were very happy with how Alicea handled our first sale and purchase, so we used her services again and were not disappointed. Everything is made clear and transparent and we felt very comfortable asking any questions we were unsure of along the way. Despite the very long chain involved, we all managed to complete in a decent timeframe. Thanks again.

We sold and bought two properties with no problems.

We sold and bought our new home and our old home using the services of Roberts Crossley and to say that we received caring and professional attention throughout would be massively understating the talents, skills and qualities displayed by everyone in the Company but we really must risk seeming to choose favouritism by shouting from both rooftops about Mr Robert Morrison. Robert is the Senior Conveyancing Manager and very rightly so. Robert handled both the selling of one home and the buying of our next and executed the whole exercise with a flawless and meticulous approach that had every step of the conveyancing running as smooth as silk. Excellent communications kept us (as first time sellers) well informed and constantly in the loop so that nothing slipped by without it being fully explained to us by Robert. We were able to call him at almost any time and ask questions or to seek advice and he never failed to come up with assurances and answers. Nothing was ever too much trouble for this man who obviously loves his work and proved constantly willing to make sure that we were 'cared for'. We feel sure that everybody at Roberts Crossley would probably also be caring and efficient, they exude that sort of feeling but as we have said, Robert is the one who we will remember and when we recommend this company in general to anyone seeking a really professional conveyance, we will still specifically recommend Robert Morrison if you want excellence. How to rate him?- OUTSTANDING.

Conveyancing as it should be in the 21st century!

At the start of our house move journey I half-jokingly remarked to our estate agent that the conveyancing profession in the UK needed a disruptor such as Amazon to enter the market and turn it on its head, by doing things differently – and much better – than the industry norm that those of us who have bought or sold houses before have come to expect. To me there seemed to be so many opportunities, some of it quite “low hanging fruit”, to work more efficiently and deliver service improvements to the client, including through better use of technology. One gets the impression from many conveyancing firms that nothing has changed, that this is a profession stuck firmly in the 20th century.

We were delighted to find that Roberts Crossley (who we stumbled across looking on Trustpilot for top-rated solicitors) have already achieved many of the new ways of doing things that a good market disruptor might deliver. They make great use of technology to achieve efficiencies (and cost savings for the business too, I’m sure), they are accessible and communicative, being quick to respond to emails, and often your conveyancer will even answer the phone if they’re available when you call, or if not call you back later. They are supportive, seeming to actually ‘get’ that you are the client, who at the end of the day pays their wages – this should of course be the norm, but sadly it’s not. And they are efficient and work much quicker than one is accustomed too from prior experiences – and in particular, recognise times in the process when this might be especially important. I particularly liked that they have an option for an expedited service offering fast, guaranteed response times should this be needed, for a very reasonable additional fee.

Ben who gets regular favourable mentions in reviews here was our paralegal; he certainly delivers the excellence as described above, and is very personable and approachable. We had a slightly more complex process than the norm, selling two homes separately owned to purchase our first home together, plus as we were buying a new build that was also more complex and time-critical, due to the slightly unreasonable demands developers typically place on you. With Ben we felt in a very safe pair of hands throughout, even more so when having secured an excellent plot for our new build, one of our buyers wobbled and withdrew, which for a while was in danger of putting the purchase we thought we’d secured in jeopardy. During this critical time Ben could not have been more supportive, as we worked to put in place a ‘plan B’ to ensure we didn’t lose our new dream home!

When I write such a glowing (and deserved) review I like to pause and ask myself, is there anything the company could improve? The only thing I can think of, on occasion in the process we stumbled upon what was no more than a careless, silly (and unforced) error in something that had been sent to us. Each was relatively trivial, but given all the positives we experienced as detailed here, we did find this a little surprising and unexpected. We’re not sure if these mistakes were made when rushing, and the odd one will always slip through. But if a way could be found to tweak up the attention to detail for the small things as much as the big and important things, that would only further enhance the company’s obvious pursuit and delivery of excellence.

Jonathan at Robert’s Crossley’s Solicitors is great

I have used Robert’s Crossley’s Solicitors a couple of times now, once for a purchase and then for a sale, and Jonathan Davey has always been prompt and proactive in dealing with my case. The communication is excellent and the cost is competitive.
I would definitely recommend Jonathan and RC Solicitors.
