Fixed my radiator for me
Only issue I had was that I didn’t have a drive way as I lived in flats but he kindly done it for me.
There was another problem with my car that he couldn’t diagnose which was very annoying .
On 10th March, my motorcycle wouldn’t start so I called the RAC to assist. The website encourages you to request assistance online, which I duly did and I received a text with a 2 or 3 hour time slot. That came and went, and when I refreshed the tracking facility the time slot was pushed back a few hours. In the end I had to cancel after waiting for over 6 hours. I gave the RAC the benefit of the doubt thinking they must be having a busy day.
I tried again the following Tuesday, 17th March, requesting assistance first thing in the morning, and after another 6/7 hour wait I had to cancel.
I tried again on Saturday 21st March, and the same happened again.
I requested assistance today, 24th March, sending the request online at 6.30am. Estimated ETA between 11am and 2pm, a wait of between 4.5 and 7.5 hours. I thought I would phone to get a more accurate ETA and I ended up going round in circles without being able to speak to a human. When someone did answer, they were unhelpful and when I asked to be put through to their customer service department to make a formal complaint, I ended up in the same telephone menu system.
On checking the tracker to see an estimated ETA, it was pushed back to 3-5pm, some 8.5 to 10.5 hours after my initial request.
I phoned again, and I eventually spoke to a very polite lady who has been working for the RAC for 4 weeks who wanted to help, but there was nothing she could do. She couldn’t put me through to anyone, couldn’t put me through to customer services dept (perhaps it doesn’t even exist) and I had to cancel again as I can’t sit in all day in the hope the RAC can be bothered to turn up.
I still can’t ride my motorcycle. I will try again when I next work from home, but I highly doubt it will be any better.
Truly the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I only gave1 star as there was no other option - the RAC doesn’t deserve even that 1 star. Truly, truly awful.
Fault was diagnosed at the roadside and a repair was booked in there and then as a manufacturer only part was required. My car was returned to my drive. Quoted and the new engineer arrived on the booked day and back up and running. Excellent service from start to finish.

If the prices stay the same I probably won't use a garage again for a service
Zak Hunter - the RAC Mobile mechanic who worked on my car was thorough, polite and took the time to explain what was happening with the work he was doing. He gave some good advice about future work that may be needed. The price was very reasonable also. Will certainly be using this service again.
