Damage to my car in disabled space in Dundrum Town centre
A very, very poor centre based on my recent experience. I am a disabled driver and was parked in one of their so called “disabled parking spaces”. My car was damaged in their car park because of the centre’s very outdated standards including low height and low hanging bars and sensors. They refused to pay for the damage caused - their excuse: the place was built in 2005 before the current building standards were in place. However, they ignored strong recommendations from the Technical Guidance Document M standards current at the time designed to ensure adequate and appropriate height for vehicles parked in disabled parking spaces. They are an uncaring, mean, unfair management with no sense of social responsibility to their disabled customers whatsoever. Appalling! Reflects really badly on the owners of the centre. Beware parking there. I won’t be shopping there again. I formally complained about my treatment and the UK owners Hammerson haven’t even replied.
