I thought I had an issue with Sky, so I telephoned their technical services. They went through their checklist; one of the questions was, "What TV are you connecting to?" When I told them it was a Tos... See more

Good performance and support.
Wanted a budget replacement tv and decided on a Toshiba Freely set from Argos with the knowledge it could easily be returned if not suitable.
After setting up I was unable to get any Freely live channels through wi-fi. With trepidation I contacted Toshiba service. The agent patiently guided me through a factory reset and solving the problem. So far, so good and the set's performance belies it's low price.

Big 32" TV less than 2 years old. Display failed (feint purple lines). Used Toshiba UK website to ask for advice - NO REPLY. Then sent email to official UK Toshiba "repairers". Response 'no replaceable PCBs but we'll help you identify a new Toshiba to replace it'. What a load of ****.
Never buy Toshiba product again and should have looked here at reviews 1st before buy this piece of junk.
Toshiba 50in smart tv
Bought Toshiba 50in tv 3yrs ago (Sep 21), all good until recently, when horizontal lines appeared across top of screen, phoned Toshiba helpline, but as more than 1 year old they couldn't help, expected it to last more than 3yrs !, my old samsung telly 12yrs old, and still working well ..

I bought a Toshiba TV and it lasted 2 weeks! Vertical lines in the screen and Best Buy must know as they don’t cover this for more than 15 days. We called Toshiba and they were supposed to call us back today but nothing!!
It took hours to get on the phone with someone yesterday with no results so far. Junk
Worst TV as I have ever seen.
Worst TV as I have ever seen.
1. It is very slow.
2. TV thinks is clever than you are, and do update whenever it's like (3-7 times per day). During this update the TV is lagging and intetnet TV does not work well (even if you connect via LAN).
3. You cannot switch off auto updates, or set up the time for updates.
4. Often you will have to do hard reset to watch the intent TV, or any Internet apps (like youtube)
5. remote consistsly disconnects and stops working.
6. TV lagging and frozeing. Most likely due to too litte RAM installed.
I wish I have never bought this equipment.
7. As I said above, The TV knows better than you, what you really want.
Just now it turned it on itself. I switched the TV off, I went to the kitchen, when I came back (after 5 min.) the TV was on. Nice.
AWFUL
AWFUL, my son has a smaller smart tv in his room. Every so often it disconnects itself from the wifi and is an absolute pain to try to reconnect, most of the time we play around with and somehow we get it working again.
This time around we have tried absolutely everything. Factory reset, wifi reset , unplug while on, delete wifi add new wifi , every single internet search has proved useless.
We get the tv connected, we launch Netflix, it works.
Close Netflix launch youtube or prime “ SORRY ITS NOT CONNECTED “ so angry at this point iv given up.
I will NEVER EVER buy a toshiba product again. Tv is around 2 years old if that.
*edit. Yes we have tried to remove/reinstall apps/ update apps/update tv/firmware ect. Nothing.
I will give this junk TV 1 star…
I will give this junk TV 1 star everyday until I replace it with something else! I mean, how many damn times must I switch it on so that it actually stays on!

I’m thrilled with my 65" smart TV
I’m thrilled with my 65" smart TV. The picture quality is exceptional with vibrant colors and sharp details, and the 4K resolution is fantastic. The smart features are easy to use, and the built-in voice assistant is a nice touch. The sound is solid, and the sleek design complements my living room. Overall, it’s a great upgrade for home entertainment.
Awful tv
Awful tv, absolute waste of money, it takes about 10 minutes to get it to work, then just turns itself off. No customer service. Avoid Toshiba if you want to remain sane
Very poor TV and their support
Very poor TV and their support. Not even a year i see display issue. It was in warranty but they didn’t cover it.
TV barely functions.
The TV frequently does not respond to the remote. TV will not turn on randomly for good lengths of time. Even when the TV does respond to the remote, it's incredibly slow. Avoid Toshiba TVs like the plague.
A new update gone wrong......
A new update and now the tv won't play sounds on terrestrial channels whats wrong with people doing this the tv is absolute garbage wish I hadn't bought the thing.
So my opinion is stay well clear.
43inch toshiba tv
43inch tv , 15 Month's old, in need of a new motherboard, although still relatively new it is now out of warranty.
TOSHIBA QUALITY CONTROL
I have a 55 inch Toshiba television in my living room that has a flickering section along the bottom. Very disappointed as it is not on every day as tv programs are so poor and repetitive. To make matters worse the 18 month old 43 inch version in my bedroom went faulty a WEEK later and is a mass of vertical lines that make it unwatchable. The 43 inch model was only ever switched on about 10 times in its short life and was never left on standby. So many other reviews on here suggests poor quality control on modern Toshiba televisions. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER TOSHIBA PRODUCT as my experience of two products that should last years more was so inadequate.
DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!!
42"Toshiba smart linux from tesco

Toshiba Fire TV 65”
Bought a 65” Toshiba fire tv and it’s about the worst tv I have ever owned. I know you get what you pay for but it’s still awful compared to other cheaper TVs, I had a Hisense TV that lasted 7 years and is still going strong I just wanted a bigger TV.
I’ve had this TV for 2 months, upon start up and for about 15 minutes after it glitches, freezes, disconnect multiple times from the internet (we have full fibre broadband which is outstanding, so it’s not that) multiple app glitches where it looks shadowed, amongst other things
I gave an extra star as when it stops the messing around it is a pretty decent experience, picture is good and it does switch between apps quickly. Just don’t expect to turn on the TV and you get to watch it straight away.
One more thing that bothers me however a minor inconvenience is that is never fully turns off, it stays in a constant standby not sure if it does much for the electricity usage, and god forbid you press the off button while in the middle of using an app like YouTube or similar, as you will be blessed with countless glitches and freezing when your turn it back on, do make sure you press home before you turn off the TV.
The remote also goes off on a mad five minutes at times, volume going up when you press volume down, pressing certain buttons which completely changes when it feels like it, such as the volume keys switching and the home key turning the tv off.
Overall this tv is a 2 out of 5 stars and thats at an absolute push, if you have patience you will be fine with the TV, it’s almost like teaching a toddler to do the right thing.
Toshiba don't supply spares
We bought a Toshiba microwave. After 6 months the plate split. We contacted Toshiba to get a replacement plate. We were accused of dropping the plate (which we hadn't) - Toshiba accused us of lieing. Then the truth came out - Toshiba don't supply ANY spare parts for microwaves, not bulbs or platters or heating elements. Toshiba have left us with a £160 pile of scrap. To purchase an aftermarket platter would, of course, void any guarantee that we had. The right to repair act doesn't apply to cooking appliances - once again the consumer has been let down.
The sound has gone for the second time…
The sound has gone for the second time on my Amazon fire stick. It’s the HDMI ports on my Toshiba tv. We’ve had it exactly 15 months today. Will never buy another Toshiba. We’ll be back to LG which lasted years.
Fire stick is working fine on the JVC tv in our kitchen so it has to be the sound on HDMI ports. The first one went last year & now this one. Up to the spare room it goes
