I thought I had an issue with Sky, so I telephoned their technical services. They went through their checklist; one of the questions was, "What TV are you connecting to?" When I told them it was a Tos... See more

After six months of owning toshiba fire tv I'm throwing this garbage in the trash.
55 inch “smart TV” continually…
55 inch “smart TV” continually glitches, freezes and crashes.
Worked fine for about 18 months then glitches started - by this time the paper receipt was long gone.
Bought from Costco.
Considering suing Toshiba for dishonest trading - the TV’s appear to be designed to fail after around 2 years so you have to buy another one.
I am tempted to buy another Toshiba just to have my day in court when the goods are not fit for purpose.

We bought tv for the bedroom worked OK for 2mths then lost bbc channels, apart from retune channels (which I had done many times) the helpline not very helpful, will be returning to argos and will buy alternative make
Company not interested
Company not interested after you have bought their TV.
Bought 2 Toshiba 50 " Tvs 16th Nov 2021.(we do have an old Toshiba that works fine)
However very disappointed when one of the tvs developed vertical lines all over the screen in October 2023 , no help from Toshiba out of 12 month warranty , not cost affective to repair. Then last week 2nd tv developed same fault contacted Toshiba again to ask if they had a faulty batch. NOT interested just standard reply out of warranty contact retailer, its not the retailers fault if Toshiba can't investigate the cause of all these faulty TVs. According to search online a TV should last around 6 years!!No more Toshiba goods for us.
TOSHIBA=JOKE

This is the worst tv I've ever bought
This is the worst tv I've ever bought! So slow to load, and comes up with programs not available. Wish I could give it minus ➖️ but can't. Should have read the reviews and would never have bought one.
Seems to me these toshiba tvs
Seems to me these toshiba tvs, particularly the 50/55in ones have got a common manufacturers fault. Seeing all the complaints below, why are they still knocking out these tvs continually whilst refusing to either repair or replace them ? Stores need to stop selling them and trading standards need to step in. Toshiba used to be a very good make but now they are made in Turkey they are well below standard and not fit for purpose. Time all of us complaining on here lobbied trading standards to put and end to it. I'll be calling them tomorrow.

Useless fails yo connect to server half the time 55 inch Toshiba fire tv Avoid
Had this TV for 2 yrs
Had this TV for 2 yrs, wall mounted. The screen works & then bottom half glitches & half the screen then turns to lines. Waste of my money, very disappointed was told that it was a screen issue & to get a repairman in by Toshiba. This means that this product is not ecological due to its very short lifespan. It should hold a far longer warranty as it appears lots of people are having similar problems 2 yrs down the line. My advice DO NOT BUY.

Brought a Toshiba 43in fire qled TV and have just returned after a fortnight as HD channels flicker and then yesterday it dropped WiFi and wouldn't connect no matter what we did!!! Only saving grace is that brought from Argos who refunded without quibble 👏
I bought a 50inch Toshiba android tv
I bought a 50inch Toshiba android tv. This was the biggest waste of money it is not even a year old and it keeps freezing and you have to keep turning it on and off about 20 times before you even get to watch it. Do not waste your time and money on the piece of junk.
Purchased a Tv in Feb 2024
Purchased a Tv in Feb 2024, the Ariel socket was broken and had gone into the back of the casing. Which clearly states do not remove the back of the cover as this will void your warranty. Contacted Toshiba - to be told that basically they were not interested as this was not under warranty and there was nothing they would do about it.
I'll keep it simple .....
I'll keep it simple ...... Nearly all smart TV besides Samsung end up lagging with cheap ass software.
You press for an app and wait too long if it works at all
Pay the extra and buy Samsung
Toshiba 32LV2353DB. Awful audio!
We bought a Toshiba 32LV2353DB 2023 LED HDR Full HD 1080p TV from John Lewis. the seller is fine however, the TV offers a terrible sound quality. It's not faulty. It comes with a pair of very cheap speakers which match the quality of the entire TV. Also, the front blue LED is so bright at night, it makes watching TV very unpleasant. We have it in our guest room but will make sure we never buy Toshiba again. Unbranded TVs seem to offer much better quality for the price.
Well brought from Agos 15th February…
Well brought from Agos 15th February 2023, rang 4 times since this date after loads of puffing and blowing , finally they sent me a USB stick to fix my tv from freezing, it did sometimes work but mostly I have to keep rescan the set could be 2 or 3 times a day , .its a toshiba50" 50ua3d63db smart hdr led . Please people don't buy , rubbish service so disappointed
Toshiba Fire TV
In February 2024 I received a 50" Toshiba Fire TV,supplied by ao, as an insurance replacement for a Hisense TV that was unrepairable and an unavailable model. When I tried to set it up I found that I needed an Amazon account to do this. I did not want this but there was no other option. This required financial information, including my credit card number. Shortly afterwards I received a letter from my bank,HSBC. asking me to verify a recurring monthly payment of £39.99 to bevod.club. I had not set this up so my bank cancelled it and replaced my credit card. Next problem was when the TV started to inform me that there was No Signal from the aerial. Toshiba customer services told me to pull the plug and restart. this worked, but it happened again. I was then told to go to Settings and restart the TV. The problem kept recurring every couple of days. Eventually the TV was taken by GXO, the authorised Toshiba repair centre. Four days later I was informed that it hsd arrived at the repair centre. and a week later that an engineer had received the TV and was going to try to diagnose the fault. No more information since then.
I have had a Toshiba microwve and a HD /DVD recorder for many years and it was that experience of reliability that made me chose a Toshiba TV. I will know better in future.
55 inch 2yrs old toshiba smart tv
55 inch 2yrs old toshiba smart tv. Concerns from start with volume, blank screens. Now out of nowhere vertical line and constant flickering. Done my research same problem for many this year 2024. I want repair or refund
It's really bad
It's really bad. I had two Toshiba laptops, one Core I5 and one Core I7, I remember never having such slow PCs. Then I also had a new television which I had to give away in order to get rid of it. I needed to aim exactly at the tv sensor with the remote control. If I aimed a little further away, the signal just didn't arrive. Also the screen quality was really poor. In my opinion, Toshiba is definitely not good at all.
Don't touch Toshiba
I had a Toshiba LED Tv Christmas 2023 and have had constant problems. Toshiba aren't in the least interested in helping. I have e mailed frequently since January and received acknowledgements and a case number saying someone will get back to me and nobody ever does. I wrote to their UK head office twice both letters ignored. I have tried contacting on their support chat and yet again no help whatsoever. Yesterday I spent another two hours holding on for someone to get back to me and nothing happened. Again this morning I have been on chat for almost two hours although it took almost an hour for anyone to answer then most unhelpful. I have given them all the information I have and yet they still refuse to answer my questions. The TV certainly doesn't do what it is supposed to do and is a complete waste of money. Do NOT be tempted to get one of these 'all in one' TV's supposed to do everything because they simply do not. For a start, if one is recording a programme one can only watch the same channel it is recording on so completely pointless recording anyway and that is just for starters . So many other problems and Toshiba worthless. Chat just finished, no help whatsoever and basically cut off because they didn't want to continue
