I love being a Stitch member.
Im usually doing an activity every weekend, especially dancing and singing and enjoying time with my Stitch friends and meeting new members is always fantastic. Ive met some lovely fellas too 🩷

Meeting new people and going to places that you would not think that you would go to.

It’s a great way to connect and meet new people virtually and in person. You can join in as much as you like.

I have been a member of Stitch (stitch.net) for over 10 years. I have met with other members both in person, and online (mostly during the pandemic, but still have some weekly meetings that I go to online). I have had meals with other Stitch members, gone to Stitch parties, gone to comedy clubs with other members. It is a wonderful way to meet people and make friends.

I have met so many new people, both locally and internationally in Puerto Rico. And what I particularly appreciate is that if anybody is inappropriate, they are reported and possibly kicked out, so Stitch tends to attract high-quality kind, authentic, supportive people, which further allows good friendships to form. It's been a huge gift in my life.

Stitch as a site works quite well. As is is a community activity site (my terminology), how active it is in your area depends on the people there and not Stitch itself. Stitch is not a dating site so it's quite safe for people to join and participate in events. Stitch does a lot to ensure the safety of its site and membership. I'm quite happy I have joined and plan to continue my membership in the future.

I hate these things. You’re big poopy thing.

Meeting new people and making connections.
Have made a few friends through Stitch and see them out of Stitch.
Groups are welcoming and make you feel at home.
The admin team of Stitch always friendly and answer any questions I have promptly.
Love the variety of events to attend.

Great way to enhance your social life and meet some new interesting people.

Stitch is a community for anyone, single, married or dating, over 50. There are virtual and in person events. I have done a variety of both and have enjoyed meeting folks from all around the world. The best part might just be hosting an event that I am passionate about. If you are over the age of 50, I encourage you to check out Stitch.

Why I like Stitch 6/18/2026
I have been a Stitch member for over 3 yrs. I was discouraged that there were no events in my area, so I decided to start posting my own events. It was slow starting & disappointing at first, but with persistence, & advertising, the attendance has improved considerably. This has given me the opportunity to contribute to my community and make new friends. I truly believe when you help others you also help yourself. I love Stitch, it is welcoming, and friendly, and I feel safe because of the efforts Stitch has made to secure my privacy & screen new members. Stitch is not a dating site, but it is your choice if you choose to find companionship with another member. As a full member you can participate in a wide range of activities, groups & virtual events. Even as a limited (free member) you can still participate in some of the events. The fees are very affordable, you can even earn points when you host events & use them to pay for your membership.

Stitch is a great tool to create new friendships expand on our social life all of which is really important in life I feel
You get to choose what suits you and there is definitely something for everyone
It was the best decision I made to join and continue experiencing where stitch will take me

A great way to safely meet and make new friends whether it be in person or online. I have met some wonderful people who will now remain lifelong friends.

Great variety of events to attend. Most hosts are welcoming. a way to connect with new people and share interests. Feels fine to show up alone as many people are attending solo.

Every body so welcoming and friendly

Since moving to Tasmania two years ago I didn’t know anyone except my daughter who moved here eight years ago.
My friend from Sydney where I grew up had joined Stitch.
She had nothing but praise for the group so I checked it out and immediately signed.
I am a very social person so missed the friendship and communication of liked minded people.
It has been nothing but amazing and has made my life full again.
I am no stranger to going out alone but with this new group I can experience activities that I wouldn’t have done alone
The site is so easy to navigate and varied.
I am so lucky to have found Stitch as it’s changed my life.

It is a fantastic platform and great community full of great meetups of different activities. Have met many wonderful people but I have to say the website is outdated and frustrating to use and needs upgrading. Worth joining however, I have enjoyed it .

The website and app on my phone work really well. Very easy to navigate. I live in Melbourne and find that there are so many activities and events being organised by members of Stitch every day of the week. You can pick and choose whatever event is of interest to you. Stitch is a great way to meet so many different people at events that are fun to attend.
