Snappyshopper IT software is dysfunctional

My local corner shop is part of the Snappyshopper chain and their Dundee IT people claim they are a small outfit and cannot cater for my Chrome Linux desktop/laptop browser! I have spent many frustrating hours trying to use a website that just won't work.

Their website is focused on the App and not on software for desktops or laptops, presumably for those more likely to consume convenience-store junkfood :(

As this is my only local shop and I am dependent on it as a disabled pensioner I find this extremely frustrating. I have made several complaints to the shop owner to no avail :(

As I work nightshifts

As I work nightshifts, I rely on deliveries quite heavily.
I have been using the Nisa store in Ceres for a few months and have been very grateful for the service received, especially from Manoj. He always contacts me immediately if there is an item not in stock, and offers an alternative. My order is always delivered extremely quickly and he is polite, courteous and helpful.
My only suggestion is that the store links it's inventory into the order process, so that customers can see when an item is not in stock and make an alternative decision.

I mean... terrible.

Honestly, this website is ridiculous.

Here is my experience in the last three days.

Site logs you out randomly and deletes your basket.
Site says that payment didn't go through due to an error code--then you get an email confirming your order.
Site "contact us" page refuses to load.
Ads on site are not forced into consistent sizes, which leads to some really weird page shifting.
Load times are bad. FCP is 6.7. LCP is 4.9. INP is 1428. Like, come on.
If the site lags on a page due to high resources (it's not in the slightest bit optimized and whoever coded this needs to go back into education) then your entire basket removes itself when you have no other option but to reload.

Then they have the audacity to add on a service charge. Which, I mean, sure. Okay. I get it. They need to make money. But, with this heap of rubbish, you're best just using JustEat. They might be overpriced, but at least they have a team that knows how to run a website.

Who I really feel for are the shop owners who pay for this and most likely lose out on business because the site is a joke. I won't be using it again, I can only imagine how many other people load it and close it and go elsewhere.

Outstanding bad

Outstanding bad, please avoid when possible, tesco and Co do whoosh deliveries which are here within the hour and are extremely reliable.
The service offered by snappy shopper however unfortunately relies on the store accepting and sorting the order, something that doesn’t seem to always happen, for improvements can you please start ensuring there is committed staff members overseeing this service ?
PSA - For any cancellations ask why, for any delayed or poor deliveries tell them, this service cannot guaranteed or maintain quality. Please look at more reliable companies and avoid the potential grief with dealing with this joke

JACKS KEYSTORE IN WELL STREET PAISLEY

JACKS KEYSTORE IN WELL STREET PAISLEY. Made an order at 8pm and didn't receive it. Tried calling the shop but never any answer. The next day tried phoning and after several hours finally spoke with someone. They had no clue about their mistake. I asked for a refund and was told they were unable to do this so they sent the order out. NO EXPLANATION OR APOLOGY.

They dont automatically give you…

They dont automatically give you rewards, had to email them three times to claim the rewards, they'll put on promos that you dont receive, theres no discount codes for existing customers(they'll say they do the rewards scheme etc but most of the shops aren't even participating or if they are your account never updates to show vouchers or discounts)

Account hacked and £75 stolen.

Account hacked and £75 stolen.

I have used Snappy Shopper for a while to order food for my elderly parents in Dorset. Several orders were made to shops in the Manchester area - I froze my account after four payments went through and prevented another six orders. £75 was stolen. I have been trying to contact Snappy Shopper since 2nd January and they have not bothered to respond. Absolutely appalling customer service.

Was told the shop will speak to driver. Had to phone back again to be told driver has gone home. No items delivered and no refund. Scammed. Avoid this company

Definitely NOT Snappy, more Slowly…

What part of this experience was snappy?? I placed an order at 6:23pm… the shop is literally around the corner from my house, but I have my baby here who was asleep, so had to order a few supplies in… it finally arrived at 8:25pm… literally over 2 hours!

Never again, was my first and last order, plus I was charged a delivery fee when I was told the first order is free delivery.
