Showers and changing rooms are vile
Showers and changing rooms are vile. Don't get cleaned very often. That should be basic hygiene with so many people using them!! Music is a joke!! You need music that is motivating. They play Elton john etc. Only time they have half decent music is when the staff are training. Not really fair in my honest opinion. The gym equipment is dated now. You are lucky if you can find a set of handles. Just a few tweaks could make it a good place to train

Attended on a guest pass
Attended on a guest pass, used the gym car park, left after and hour and fifteen minutes. Received a £100 parking fine. Gym said its nothing to do with them contact the parking company. Funnily can't contact the parking company by phone has to be done by email or letter! Absolute joke

The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking.
The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym.
If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal.
On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.
Pretty good gym
The place is always very clean, lots of equipment. If something broke it's not for long. I like the charity donation drop offs and the book swap fab idea.
Only bad things to say is it's always pretty warm inside. And the vending machine for the protein drinks should be colder as me and my mate have bought from it recently and they were warm with chunky bits...🤢

Pure gym is a great gym
Pure gym is a great gym! Everything you need and multiples of.
I often have to go between 6pm until 730pm and it can be busy, but understandable

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym.

I come to this gym primarily because it is open 24/7
I come to this gym primarily because it is open 24/7. I have come to this gym previously and found almost all the equipment I want and has a decent amount of space around the machines. I come for the exercise and not as a social occasion, and it suits me the way it is. I have noticed as bit of deterioration in equipment maintenance compared to a couple of years ago, but it is still clean and largely functional.

Excellent gym
Excellent gym, relaxed friendly atmosphere. I've never seen a gym so clean & staff religiously cleaning equipment throughly. Really friendly, helpful staff always around when needed. Excellent equipment all in perfect condition. Very spacious, light & lots of areas you can go to for a quiet spot. Love the book corner & often swap books. Changing room & facilities are exceptional & again spotless. By far my favourite gym.
The only thing I would ask for is another Barbell cushion pad as it's often in use but that's a minor issue. 10/10 for pure gym.

I was enrolled in a neighboring gym for…
I was enrolled in a neighboring gym for a year and when I joined puregym, I should have joined earlier. Things that made a mark on me is the cleanliness of the gym, organized and arranged well. The shower and changing rooms are just amazingly clean and there is no odor lingering. My only gripe is there should be more equipment for other muscle group and heavier weights, that's all.
