Love this gym, affordable, clean and convenient. I just think the staff need to be more visible. I never see any on site or they sit in the office. They should be walking around to check people are using the machinery correct and also to keep up with the wiping down of machines as not everyone is cleaning them. Since covid Id of thought this to be a must!

Bury is a good gym overall, well organised and spacious, with a good variety of equipment. The only criticism is that some of the equipment is not spaced out enough to effectively socially distance users from one another. This particularly applies to the treadmills which are definitely too close together. There is no excuse for this because the part of the gym where the treadmills are housed is very spacious with lots of space which is not utilised. There could also be more treadmills available too, as they are frequently over subscribed and I usually have to wait for one to become free.

Joined with the intention of trying it out as a cheaper alternative to my old gym. I’m glad I did! It’s great value, I didn’t realise they did classes but they do and they’re excellent. The gym itself is really clean and has a great range of equipment. You also get parking at The Rock for 2 hours whilst you’re in, and they’re open 24/7 which is fab.

A wide spread selection of machines meaning you aren’t left waiting for a machine to become available. Clean, nice sized areas, feels welcoming, I never feel out of place. I love the different flavoured waters. The only thing I don’t like, is that there isn’t anywhere to get changed in private in the changing rooms; so I have to get changed before I go because I don’t feel comfortable.

Nice studio and space upstairs.
However, far too busy and difficult to use the machines.

All the equipment is easy to use.
The gym has a safe environment.
Cleanliness is the gym staff top priority.

Burys Pure Gym Poor.
Bland looking inside, TV screens with repetitive adverts.
Cross trainers facing a blank white wall by few inches so no where to 'look'
Lockers hardly work
Rowers can't fasten straps
