Phone Convert 

Bought a phone and I'm really happy with it.

They supplied me a royal mail label when I asked and paid via PayPal.

Sold multiple mobiles and was communicated to even if it did take slightly longer.

Avoid this company - they are a rogue operation. They initially give a genuine impression. From quoting a price for your mobile, sending the pre-paid envelope, re-adjusting the price following assessment, then stating a payment has been made. After that it all falls apart. Emails from the company claim issues or difficulties at their end but with no suggestions made. Emails are poorly written and vague, - written /signed off by 'Will' - writing style/ content of the emails alerted my suspicions but one still hopes. Nearly 20 emails later and still no payment was made. The device was requested (even suggested to be returned by the company by apology, of not being able to make the payment) but no device was received, despite informing the company they would be reported if no action was made. They denied they were a scam operation but I have reason to believe otherwise. Do not lose your device or time to this company.

Update: After more than 25 emails I finally received payment from the company.

Rating still not changing!!! Despite Phone convert trying to get my review deleted my opinion stands.
They received my phone and only through MONTHS of chasing did I finally get payment!!!
If you are not on-top weekly if not daily of them you WILL loose your phone.
They will try every delay tactic and slow communication to drag it out as long as possible. Ultimately my issue was only resolved after a negative review here 2 and a half months after I first sent my phone.
They seem best choice because of higher offers than other companies... This price will invariably drop once they have your phone... Whilst your phone is their captive you have limited options. Refusal is always an option and they will I'm sure respond that's customer choice... However I believe it is better for us all to go elsewhere and accept the lower quote in the first instance. At least the other companies have some integrity.

I sent my Iphone 6 on the 30th May, Hermes confirmed delivery 01/06/19 with a photo. Phone convert couldn't find it then it suddenly appeared when I told them I was calling the police. They then agreed to post it back to me on the 25th of June. Needless to say they haven't posted it back. Please report all similar incidents to Action Fraud and Trading Standards - they are linking cases and mounting action against Phone Convert. They are brazen liars and thieves - not sure why Will enters into email dialogue just to extend the misery of pretending you haven't been a victim of fraud and theft.

I concur with review below, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Sent in phone almost a month ago. A week later, after enquiring, they send email saying they have received it and being processed. Nothing heard for a further week. When asking for update state they have NEVER received it. After sending evidence of delivery tracking, state they HAVE got it and with technician. Nothing heard after that, or funds in account. Requested update, no communication from them at all. Requested return of phone, or agreed price deposited in my account, twice. Still no response from them. Web site states 'will respond within 3hrs', have sent two messages on website (obviously have evidence), still waiting for response. Pity you can't give 0 star.

Now the 7 July - After being told on 28 Jun that my phone was 'restricted and been reported and it cannot be accessed, we have asked for evidence and information for this to be removed' (though to who I don't know, certainly not me), it was stated 'this would be sorted'. I requested the phone to be returned, after turning down their offer, because not what was originally offered and time taken. Still waiting, no response (yet again) from email sent last week. Deserves less than 0 stars.

I sent my phone in over a month ago. I was told that they couldn't offer me the full price due to burn in on the screen, the phone was less than 8 months old so I doubt there was burn in but I accepted the lower offer anyway. I received an email saying that the lower amount would be transferred over to my account but the funds were never cleared. I managed to get in touch with one of their customer support team members who said that there had been an issue and asked me to confirm my bank account details. I sent the details across and was then told that the funds would be cleared by the end of the next day. It's now been a week since that email with no money sent. I've tried emailing again as well as tweeting at the company but with no response at all. Really unimpressed with the service here and by the looks of some other reviews I'm definitely not the only one with this issue.

Update:

It has now been nearly two months with barely any contact, no payment and no return of my handset. I've been told 4 times that the payment would be cleared the next day and twice that my phone would be shipped back to me within 2 days.

I have lost all hope of seeing my phone or the money again and will be taking this up with the small claims court.
