When I was looking for windows and doors on a building constructed from CobBauge, a form of earth construction and the first building to be constructed from this material in the UK, Norrsken offered fantastic technical support (Nick in particular), which greatly aided the design of the detailing for the windows.

I had never used Norrsken before, so I was nervous about the quality, however Nick instilled confidence and I was impressed with the images on the website.

Well the windows and doors have now been installed on this building, and I’m very impressed with the quality and design. Since this project I have specified Norrsken windows and doors on two further projects and would have no hesitation to specify them again.

I selected Norrsken as the supplier for all the glazing on my new build passive house. Prices were competitive but not the absolute cheapest. The product quality seemed good though, leading us to conclude they offered the best value for money we could find. With installation now complete it seems we were wrong - product quality isn't just good, it is excellent !!
Norrsken were generally an easy company to do business with, with good communication all the way through the process. Lead times were extended due to Covid, but they were honest and open on this up front and install on exactly the day they had committed to at the time of order finalisation.
Would definitely use them again.

I've already left a review after the initial installation of our 1st floor windows and this is a follow up review after the installation of our remaining 4 ground floor windows.
In short, another seamless installation. All windows were installed on time, with no issues.
To help gauge the improvement - 3 of the windows were installed in our kitchen diner (approx 27sqm) and despite the recent drop in temperature & having a bare concrete floor we've not needed to turn on any form of heating.
We opted for a tint in the main kitchen window for privacy and it's working better than expected. We can be stood at the sink, directly in front of the window and are invisible to anyone further than 1M away.

A quick note on our windows installed last year - no problems or issues.

We're still asked about them by people passing by and contractors that are returning to the house still comment on them.

Our new entrance door is due to be installed next week, so I'll leave another review then.

We now have beautiful windows. They have exceptional triple glazed efficiency. An awkward panelling and front door design added to the challenge. This project was undertaken during Covid restrictions which caused a few supply issues as well as a few other problems, all now overcome. The staff were friendly and efficient - especial thanks to Debbie and fitter, Danny. Windows are a very large part of a self build project and so really important. I can recommend Norssken as the finished product is excellent.

I’m writing this review primarily to give credit to the whole team at Norrsken, and to the personal attention given by one of the directors - Nigel J.
The sales and ordering process was easy and professional – resulting in us ordering high end product bespoke triangular dormer window along with two sets of 5m wide triple glazed three section glass doors and multiple size front and side windows.
The installation team were very accommodating and helpful but during the install we suffered some issues related to differences being apparent between survey measurements and our builders aperture implementation. This meant that the installation could not be finished as scheduled and we had to undertake investigation and remedial actions with the Norrsken team. As we all know things can go wrong and the measure of a professional company is what they do about it when they do.
This culminated in an investigation process and assessment of requisite remedial works which the Norrsken director personally took ownership for – attending our site and discussing with us possibilities. We struck an understanding and Nigel formulated a remedial plan, which whilst it took some time has resulted in us being very happy with the outcome – the end result looks superb.
So I would recommend Norrsken as a company that deliver a very professional product and excellent after sales service. Well done!

We approached Norrsken in Lockdown, not knowing what was possible. We were looking for replacement windows to improve the thermal efficiency of our home. From the first call we engaged with friendly helpful people who looked after us really well. We had questions, some were maybe ‘daft’ but they answered each one reassuring us they were good questions. One question was the timeline which in lockdown we thought would be a problem, however to our delight they were able to deliver and fit within the timeline provided. The team kept us posted of every stage of the project, which was really helpful. The windows and door unit arrived very carefully protected & at the projected time, the fitters arriving a little beforehand to receive them. We now have some high spec windows, with a great appearance, our home is quieter and we can already feel the benefits of the improved insulation, which is wonderful (and it is only May!) winter is going to be so much cosier! Thank you to everyone at Norrsken that we linked with. I can honestly say this company have delivered a high standard from start to finish and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I cannot recommend Norrsken highly enough. Our project involved the complete replacement of all existing windows and a number of large (5meter plus) sliding doors for our extension.

The team at Norrsken was great during each of the different phases of our project (quotation, design review, delivery, installation and support afterwards). In particular their pro-active approach to pointing out potential issues and offering solutions was of great help.

The quality of the engineering and design is exceptional, our builder and neighbours keep on commenting that these are by far the best windows they has ever seen!

I can highly recommend Norrsken. Originally I was going to have double glazed windows but after much research I found that Norrsken could beat all of the quotes for a high quality triple glazed option. The windows are beautifully crafted and have received lots of positive comments from passers by and subcontractors working on the house. It is self build project and doing this for the first time (and consequently asking lots of questions) I found the whole team at Norrsken incredibly friendly and helpful. Emails were replied to promptly and professional advice was freely given as and when I needed some help. The delivery driver was polite and helpful as well. On a very large order the only issue was a door sill in a different colour to the door which I discovered a few weeks after delivery. On notifying Norrsken and supplying a photograph a new sill was sent out immediately. So if you need excellent windows and good customer service at a decent price then you cannot go wrong with Norrsken.

We chose Norrsken to supply our windows after surveying a range of suppliers. The quality of the product seen at Swindon and other shows, the enthusiasm of the sales team and directors for their product and the use of partner installers made it an easy choice.
Being a new build, the time from initial pricing through to ordering and supply was extended but while for us it felt unusual, at no time did it cause Norrsken any problem.
The delivery and installation process was seamlessly executed with no issues.

We had our windows installed last year (see earlier review) and just wanted to add a further update. Our opinion of Norrsken has certainly not changed they and are a fantastic company to deal with. We had issues relating to a few window handles (batch issue we believe), the exact positioning of one window in its frame (due to elements regarding the creation of an extension) and a single external sill that required a greater depth. Norrsken were fantastic to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble and nothing was ever a challenge or a battle to get fixed. Although these were minor details, I knew they would not get forgotten by the team and they promptly arranged to get them all sorted as soon as able. These elements definitely test the aftercare service and Norrsken definitely proved themselves in this area. I know we are fairly local, but I do think no matter where in the country you may be, they would pay the same attention to detail.

We first saw Norrsken windows at the Swindon Self Build Centre a couple of years ago. We liked the look and quality, and despite looking at other companies providing similar high quality triple glazed aluclad windows, we were always drawn back to Norrsken. Tim was very helpful at an early stage - before we had a house to put them in - and stayed in touch gently during our slow build in SW Scotland. When the time came to place an order, we did ask for quotes from some of the other big names, but Norrsken always stood out for communication, choice, quality, performance and value. Norrsken’s showroom in Poole was very informative, and Tim spent a lot of time with us helping to fine tune the details of our our project.

Our order was a supply only order of about 65 m2 including a 4m lift and slide door, and a very large front door. Because of the location, Norrsken preferred to provide the windows on a supply only basis as they thought they may not be able to provide their normal quality of back up should minor adjustments be needed in the future. They did, however, recommend a fitting company nearer us whom we engaged separately.
We had the windows delivered directly to site and it was perfectly clear that we were responsible for offloading.

Throughout the process Norrsken staff stayed closely in touch, did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it, and absolutely everyone we dealt with in the company was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The windows are exactly what we wanted and look great. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Just completed a new build passive insulated home. Having researched the very wide market and narrowed it down, we eventually choose Norrsken due to the impressive quality of their products. Whilst others have very similar offerings, it was the quality edge and the fact that they only use partner installers that won the day. Our 2 m wide lift and slide window that weighs in at a hefty 180kg can be moved open with a single finger. And although we did not use their passive certified windows, the airtightness was terrific and our building achieved 0.17achr. Beautiful finish, attention to detail and super installation team.

While the project took considerably longer than expected this was primarily due to us taking the time to find the right supplier and product for us, and because of the C-19 pandemic. Norrsken proved to be a great choice. The change has been transformational to our house. Gone are the tired windows and green stained walls. In their place we have a fresh, clean, efficient, secure and modern looking house that we hope will be relatively maintenance free for many years. It wasn’t cheap but did come in close to my initial uneducated estimates and was competitive with other "leading suppliers" that we didn't rate. Overall, I think we got a great deal, and could have paid considerably more. It was definitely worth taking the time to understand the market and options, and negotiating the best deal we could. I would have no hesitation recommending Norrsken to anyone else looking to do a similar window renovation project.

Really gorgeous windows - definitely the best out of all the ones we looked at and they have completely transformed our new build house. Everyone who has looked at them (including builders) has been full of praise for them. Ours were the triple glazed and as such offer excellent U values and they have a really sharp contemporary finish on them too. It was a tricky project and the team at Norrsken worked with us tirelessly to get it all absolutely spot on. I cannot praise them enough in the way they worked with us on the project. Fitting went like a dream too. I would 100% recommend Norrsken to anyone.

After a visit to their Poole showroom, we were very impressed with the high quality of their products and excellent value for triple glazing. We thoroughly researched composite windows and Norrsken definitely had the edge over their competitors.

Throughout the whole process, they were very personable, always knowledgeable and able to efficiently resolve any queries we had. The fact that Norrsken not only supply but also fit the product, we found a real bonus. The installation team knew the windows so well that it made this stage so straightforward. Their work ethic, professionalism and keeping the place tidy/hoovering up afterwards was a shining example to our builders. Richard proved to be a fountain of knowledge with regards to our whole renovation project to be honest!

We've had lots of compliments on our windows and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We went to Norrsken for triple-glazed windows and doors for our eco-build. We were not the easiest customer as our thoughts and the spec changed several times. Throughout all of this Tim was very patient and helpful both on exhibition stands and by email and we would rate his customer service as excellent.

I contacted Norrsken after meeting them at a homebuilding and renovating show. After extensive research, their windows and doors we one of the few they met our brief of timber internally and aluminium externally.
We needed in excess of 40 windows for our self build. Some windows are non standard shapes and sliding doors with very large openings. It took about 6 months to finalise all the details due to the complexity. Marju was very helpful going through numerous iterations and adjustments.
The installation team did a great job, they installed 27 windows on day one! They were very accommodating working around various issues like scaffolding.
The windows have been in over a year now and are performing very well. We had a few minor problems (likely to be caused by movement of the house as it’s an oak frame) but Norrsken have been very courteous and quick to respond.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, all their staff have been very helpful and it’s a great product.

We have built ourself a new house, we got to the window stage, and after lots of research and viewing of other companies windows, we ended up buying all our windows and doors from Norrsken.
It was the best choice for us, we are very pleased with the windows, and get lots of compliments.
The delivery was on time, and the installation team were very professional and tidy.

Norrsken were really helpful when speccing our windows and helping us organise delivery within our required timeframe, which was a little bit tight. We've had the windows for over a year now and have been impressed with the quality so far. Our only issue was that when the windows were delivered, there didn't seem to be a plan for how they would be safely removed from the truck. We got it sorted but that's the only reason I haven't given 5 stars.
