While our overall experience with the camper van was positive, I am writing to formally highlight a significant issue we encountered with a blocked bathroom. Traveling with a toddler made this lack of facilities highly inconvenient and negatively impacted our trip. I reported this to the staff upon returning the vehicle, but I want to ensure the issue is officially documented and resolved so that future customers do not face the same experience.

During our trip, we experienced a moment where the right dipped beam light stopped working. It was repair two days after, but I guess you would expect things to be working without issues during your journey. Other than that, it all worked well.

The pickup and dropoff people were great.

However, it would be nice if the contract we signed parallelled the verbal instructions received at pickup. For example the contract specifies we are responsible for the oil level of the engine. The pick up people could not show me how to open the hood to find the dipstick and oil opening. They thought my question was strange. Re tire pressure-once again they thought it was strange when I inquired about it.

Having the back up camera working should be essential. Most customers aren't experienced enough to back up a vehicle this size. It would have been tough if I rented by myself and had to back up.

We assumed the waste water tank was plugged. Was never told it has to be half full (or whatever) before any will drain out.

The digital display on the dash between the driver and passenger is at a bad angle for the driver to read quickly. Light from the passengers window creates a glare during daylight. Driving solo and relying on this digital display for navigation in towns and cities would be extremely difficult. Luckily my passenger used her phone for navigation and verbally gave me directions.

Last, a leaking shower head / sloppy emptying system in the bathroom is messy. You wash your hands then water spills from the head onto the bathroom floor. Nobody wants to step in water while going to the bathroom during the middle of the night.

Other than that, it was a good experience.

Such great service from start to finish. Veronica made the vehicle check-in and check-out process so easy. The vehicle was clean, tidy, and far better than we expected, especially compared with previous rental experiences we have had with other companies. We could not recommend them highly enough!

Rented a van with several issues: monitor/radio screen was not functioning, sliding door could not open from the inside and indicator light kept pinging and showing that it was open when it was not, fridge door latch was nearly broken, back shelf was missing a screw and threatening to break off, electric plug cover on outside of van was very stiff and brittle and finally broke off, key system sometimes showed vehicle was not completely turned off. As if all this wasn't enough, there was no attachment on the end of the water hose so we couldn't top-up water until we found another van driver who we could borrow an adaptor from. Sending a van into the desert with no ability to hook up water... really not good enough The van shouldn't have been sent out in this condition.

UPDATE: We had a response from Mighty Campers saying they'd be more careful with their pre-rental checks. No mention of recompensing us or making good on this very unsatisfying experience. It's not cheap renting a van, it's not unreasonable to expect to get a fully functioning one.

The service and information were very good. However, the caravan was old, and the Cardplay didn't work. Some drawers jammed and didn't function properly; the media system for watching TV and listening to music was very outdated, as was the navigation system.

The camper was not ready at pick up time.
The bed above the cab had a dirty cotton bud and tissue in it.
No plug for the sink.
The shower didn't drain after two showers. The sink was very slow draining.
It didn't break down. Good to drive. Not bad on diesel. Good bedding.

Overall, I was disappointed with our recent campervan hire experience. Shortly after collecting the vehicle, we discovered that the pipe under the sink had completely come away and was missing the attachement/bolt. While I understand that faults can happen, these are issues that ideally should have been identified before the vehicle was handed over. What was most frustrating was not the fault itself, but the way it was handled once reported. I found myself repeatedly explaining the situation and it often felt like more effort was being spent debating conversations than finding a practical solution.

What made this particularly disappointing was the impact it had on our family. We were travelling with young children and had carefully planned our itinerary, so dealing with vehicle issues, phone calls and emails took valuable time away from our holiday. Campervan holidays aren't something we do often, and this trip was about creating special memories. Instead, a portion of that experience was overshadowed by avoidable stress and disruption. While the staff we dealt with in person were fantastic, the overall support experience fell short of the hassle-free holiday experience we expected, and I hope this feedback is taken on board to improve both vehicle preparation and customer support for future families.

Every thing was just amazing, from service to vehicle experience, it was all just perfect.

This was my first experience, I really enjoyed it. My motorhome was a bit old model, some rust around, had some problems with hot water, BBQ stove. But managed well.
