Wrong door sent
Wrong door sent, told that the warehouse had picked the wrong door but LPD could do nothing to sort this out, they made the mistake but I have to spend hours trying to fix it with Wickes. Joke but no joke.

Please accept my apologies that your LPD experience has not been to your expectations, I cannot see where we have been contacted by your chosen supplier advising any issues or concerns over your delivery, and I cannot comment further on what has been discussed between yourselves as I am not aware of what has been said. I would advocate speaking again to your supplier and ask them to log a conversation with LPD if not already done so. I cannot say if this will change the outcome but I can assure your of our full attention in this matter and a review of the situation.

I've just fitted a second LPD 2XG…
I've just fitted a second LPD 2XG exterior hemlock door, after the first one arrived with the veneer lifting on arrival and had to be replaced.
When I received the second one I was very careful to follow instructions for fitting, and gave all surfaces several coats of paint before fitting. That include all faces, all edges, top and bottom, all rebates, and the mortice for the lock.
I hung the door yesterday. It rained overnight and today the (wafer thin) veneer has lifted in several places. The door will have to be thrown out, it's no good to anyone. I'll now have to purchase a replacement, definitely not an LPD door, rehang, fit the lock and glazing again, then repaint. A lot of time and expense.
I've been a carpenter for over 30 years, and in my opinion these doors are not fit for purpose.

Hi,
I've just seen your second response. The doors were ordered through Wenban Smith in Worthing. It took over two weeks to get the first faulty door replaced, so anything you can do to speed up the process would be appreciated. Please note, I don't want another one of these doors, as I don't think they are suitable for exterior use.
***Update 10th June: I have already contacted Wenban Smith, that was over a week ago. I have had some difficulty getting a reply from them. They now claim to have raised the issue with you, but say they have not had a response. The record in April must show details from the first faulty door. It seems to be very difficult to make any progress with this.

I would be more than happy to review the case file, the procedure would be to report initially through your chosen stockist as your contract of sale is held with them. In turn they are able to log as a concern with customer services, they will have the references we require.

Ged is a fab delivery driver!
My delivery drivers on BOTH occasions were fabulous. I already wrote about my first one being super, so I’ll now write about the second delivery, which was made by Ged, who was a very polite, professional and friendly person, he is an absolute credit to your company. I was sad that the driver on both occasions had to manage such heavy solid oak doors all on their own on each occasion, these doors are much too heavy for one person so I thought this should have been planned as a two-person delivery. Ged did you proud though, what a lovely driver. He even called me by my name which was a lovely touch, and he was very thoughtful and kind. Thank you.

Extremely disappointing
Extremely disappointing. My joiner recommended LPD doors and we purchased 10 doors for our renovation. EVERY SINGLE DOOR was full of sticky tape residue which was a nightmare for our decorator to try and remove prior to using a clear osmo oil resulting in the doors not being perfect.
I certainly don’t recommend and I certainly won’t use again.
We didn’t have time due to the knock on effect of other work being carried out on an already tight schedule to even try and take the matter up with LPD via our local stockist.
