Santander made the conveyancing process very easy and straightforward through Enact Conveyancing. From start to finish, everything was transparent, well organised, and simple to follow via their online portal. I also found the charges and legal fees to be competitive compared with other conveyancing services I have used previously, which was an important factor in my overall experience. I would confidently recommend Enact Conveyancing to anyone looking for support with a first-time mortgage, remortgage, buy-to-let mortgage, or similar property transaction.

Really easy process, Donna Hames managed our case and was very prompt with any queries we had. Everything ran really smoothly, to be honest, so smooth to the point it felt (as someone doing their first remortgage) that I must be missing something I needed to do, but no, come the remortgage date, everything went really smoothly!
We didn't select Enact, it was through Barclays but I would use Enact again quite happily.

At first, everything was very slow and the portal wasn’t updated often. I found I was constantly asking for updates. I felt some staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing. However, someone called Tom seemed to take over, he’s been brilliant, regular updates and has got things moving and sorted for me. Thank you Tom, you have made me see light at the end of the tunnel!!

The land registry has raised a requisition / query on a remortgage registration, which should be straightforward to resolve if they only actioned it (remortgage completed on May 2026) and they continue to ignore this. As a result, sale / purchase of a house cannot be completed.

Awful - confusing, intermittent comms. Really hard to understand the process and documents. Everything is communicated in a rushed way as if we are also conveyancers who do this for a living. Portal is confusing and messy to use. Our questions were answered in confusing and indirect ways.

Was unable to make contact after they took money for searches

They completed my mortgage a day later than it was supposed to be completed resulting in my previous lender taking a payment which I have to wait 15 days for TSB to pay me back.
In addition over 10 days later I am still waiting for £2500. On one call they said it would be via bank details and in another call they said they posted a cheque second class.
I don’t think it’s acceptable to put a cheque of someone else’s money to the value of £2500 in the post second class.
I will be raising a complaint with the FCA and with my new mortgage lender who used Enact to complete.
