Very straightforward (thanks Tom)
Very straightforward, step-by-step process, helped no doubt by our very efficient & responsive caseworker Tom B.
One suggested area for improvement would be that the website & documents as shared are not the easiest to read on a phone, especially with my ageing eyes, but the remortgage process itself was managed very well and surprisingly quickly - all done in 3 weeks, including a delay of 10 days while we were on holiday.

This was a long frustrating process, I had to chase up the redemption statement from my mortgage supplier twice, this has been stressful and not something I should have had to do myself

The overall experience was professional
The portal was easy to use. I was even able to upload an amended questionnaire, after I spotted a mistake.
Staff on phone calls were very helpful and did not rush me and made sure I understood the process.
Regular emails informed me of progress. I have a lot of respect for this level of service

Poor communication, would never choose to use again
Going through what should be a simple remortgage. Enact seem to be doing their best not to act!
I had an in principal offer with first direct. Enact have told first direct they never received the offer which first direct say they sent to them at least 3 times. First direct say they escalated to a complaint for enact to contact me - they never did.
I had another offer from Barclays which I declined as it was incorrect. Enact sent the paperwork which I ignored as I was not taking that offer and was waiting on enact to send me the first direct offer and start that.
Around a month later with nothing from enact I asked Barclays to reoffer which they did. Enact sent a tracker and I did the questionnaire. This was start of July.
End of last week I chased enact and found that:
1. They had closed that application and had kept the old incorrect account open - they tried to blame Barclays.
2. The tracker for the supposedly closed application was open but clearly they were not monitoring. The questionnaire was completed but they did nothing on it.
3. They expected me to know that paperwork sent with the incorrect and cancelled application needed to be returned even though it was cancelled
Zero communication. Zero accountability. I would never choose to use them. Zero faith in when this will complete as now running out of time.
