The dress is coming apart at the seams…

The dress is coming apart at the seams after one wear. They have, “as a gesture of goodwill”, refunded 10% of the cost which probably won’t be enough to cover the cost of the damage. Will wear the dress again once fixed but it’s not worth it for the price and definitely wouldn’t buy from here again.

Personally for the price I think the quality of the material is poor. Feels like something you could get from shops like boohoo for a fraction of the price. Returns communication is terrible. Registered my return on klarna, provided tracking details as my return was received back at their address 2 days after I posted. Still no confirmation of the return after 7-10 days. Finally got a refund through klarna once they'd chased it up with the company. If you're quick enough to take business, I think personally you should be quick to issue refunds when items are returned timely.

You will not be disappointed!

It arrived today and I have never been so excited for anything to arrive in the post. The first thing I noticed was the amazing smell on the dresses, I tried each dress on and was just so happy to have clothes that flattered me so nicely, everything I had hoped for!

I really love my dress and feel it’s…

I really love my dress and feel it’s great quality. It was sent quickly, packaged well and feels well made.

However, the returns process seems lengthy. I ordered more than one style and though the return has been acknowledged as received well over a week ago, I’ve still had no refund or any communication regarding it. In my opinion I don’t think it takes up to 14 days, companies just like holding onto funds for the little bit of interest.

Horrible company

Horrible company, shit products, shit customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Placed an order on 4th January, received it on 7th, returned it on the same day. Had to contact bank because they didn’t issue the refund. They finally issued the refund on the last day possible according to they rules and had another 5 days to receive the money from them. The 5th day still haven’t received my refund. I will contact the bank again. It’s been almost a month and still didn’t receive my refund.

Quality isn't worth the price.

The price of some of these dresses is insane, specially when you take into account that most of them are made from synthetic fibers, and there's no reason for them to be that expensive, even if the fit is nice. Their dresses made from bamboo feel lovely, and are 100% worth the price, even from a distance the fabric looks good. But the synthetic ones look shiny and cheap. My advice, don't waste your money unless you get the pieces made from mostly bamboo. Also a lot of the seams were loose or broken, i had to take my dresses to the tailor to redo the seams

Fabulous and exactly what I wanted!

Delivery was super speedy!! My beautiful Audrey Midi in vintage cream arrived the day after purchase. Its material is so soft and stretchy, perfect for sensitive skin and weight gain or loss throughout the years. I feel elegant and feminine wearing the dress. It fits perfectly (size M) It feels well-made with care for women. The top section feels well-structured and safe to wear without a bra (as a smaller-chested woman). 10/10 saving up for my next dress as I write this :)

Very flattering cuts, fabric a little weird

I really like the few dresses I got from there and get compliments often. The cut is very flattering and works well on real, non-model bodies, everything is fairly stretchy and adjustable. The fabric was very different from what I expected though, a little cheaper looking (very stretchy, almost swimsuit-like if that makes sense? but very comfortable if that's what you're after). Because of it I wouldn't say the dresses look like their price, and I don't know if they are worth said price either. It's a small company though so maybe that's just the price that comes with supporting a more independent seller than Zara or H&M. I don't mind the funky fabric, the dresses are very flattering and comfy, will probably order again if/when I can afford to

Great clothes, but poor customer service responsiveness and unacceptable quality control issues

I am writing this review after, unfortunately, my second bad experience with this company. I am giving two stars for the general concept and look of the clothing - two out of the three items that I received had no quality issues and are truly beautiful. However, serious quality control issues with the third item, as well as very poor responsiveness of the customer service, prevent me from giving any more than two stars.

My first order was for the Ava reversible midi dress, which I received in reasonable time and with which I was very happy. However, contrary to what is stated on their website, I received a charge for customs fees. While Aym responded initially to my inquiry to tell me they were looking into it, it took them a further 11 days to finally get back to me with guidance on what to actually do about it, despite repeated follow-ups from my side. While Aym eventually did refund me in full for the customs fees, the lack of responsiveness struck me as unprofessional and caused a lot of unnecessary stress on my part.

Although I had initially decided not to order from Aym again as a result of my poor experience, I was so happy with my Ava dress that I decided to give them another shot. Big mistake. First of all, despite the website specifically stating that shipping to Switzerland is free for orders > 200 GBP, I was charged 16 CHF for shipping.

Next, I got slapped with customs fees once again - unsurprising, since the intended way Aym seems to circumvent customs fees in the EU is to ship EU orders from a dispatch center in The Netherlands. That approach should certainly work for EU countries - but unfortunately nobody at Aym or Fedex seems to realize that Switzerland is neither in the EU nor in the European Customs Union, so as long as they continue to ship from The Netherlands, I will continue to receive invoices for customs charges.

The more serious issue, however, is in regards to quality control. While the Venus dress I ordered lived up to my expectations, the reversible jumpsuit did not - insofar as I was initially not even able to get into it. After spending about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get each of my legs into the suit, I realized that it was physically impossible to get the suit to fit, because the lining was stitched 90 degrees out of alignment with the outer suit. In other words, the front of the lining is attached to the side of the suit, so when I did finally manage to get the suit on, it was completely twisted. This is not just a minor imperfection but a significant manufacturing error and suggests some major lapses in Aym's quality control processes.

As I write this, I am waiting for a response from Aym regarding a message I sent on the customs charges yesterday; I followed up today with a message on the pantsuit issue, however, based on past experiences, I expect I will have to do a lot of chasing once again to get either of these issues resolved.

The clothing is beautiful, and I love the idea of supporting small, female-owned and sustainability-forward businesses - but when the customer experience is as poor as mine has been on two separate occasions, I cannot say it is worth the hassle. To anyone considering purchasing from this company, I would suggest to steer clear.

chasing refund and barely acceptable quality

ordered two dresses for grad - no confirmation email. thankfully received them in time. returned one dress, kept one dress. heard nothing from aym about the returned dress, whether it had been received and i certainly didn't get a refund. had to chase the refund which eventually was received, but without a reply to my email enquiry and of course no apologies. dresses were of barely acceptable quality. i would say not in line with the price tag considering the synthetic jersey material. stitches pop when stretched despite material being stretchy. wouldn't buy again.

I’m not one to ever leave reviews like…

I’m not one to ever leave reviews like this. Ever. But being repeatedly ignored by the customer service team has left me with no choice.

I’ve followed this brand for almost two years, and finally found the right occasion to order from them. On the 5th of September, I purchased the Venus dress (which was listed as ready to dispatch). The next day, I received a notification that it had been dispatched… except it hadn’t. The Royal Mail tracking number never updated.

I first reached out on the 12th of September to flag the issue. Three days later, I was told to wait up to five more working days for an “internal investigation.” As a fellow business owner, I know the right thing to do in this situation is to immediately dispatch a replacement - especially since Royal Mail parcels are insured, and any loss can be claimed back. I’ve had to do it myself, so I know it isn’t complicated. But no - instead, I was left waiting another week.

Anticipating more delays, I emailed again on the 19th, explicitly requesting a replacement. On the 22nd, they replied, asking whether I wanted a refund or a replacement (despite me already being very clear). Then, the following day, I got yet another email asking to confirm my shipping address - something that could have been done in the same exchange, or simply checked against the original order. And since then, nothing - just silence.

I’ve also tried messaging on Instagram. I can't really email again, as I understand their “system” works so that multiple messages push you to the back of the queue...

Buying a dress (at this price point) should feel exciting and special. Instead, the experience has been stressful and anxiety-inducing. I completely understand the pressures of running a small business- things go wrong... and that’s part of it. But what truly damages a reputation is when customers order dresses for specific occasions (which seems to be your main customer profile) and they simply don’t arrive in time. That defeats the entire purpose of purchasing from you. And given the number of negative reviews specifically about customer service, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident - it’s a known issue that still hasn’t been properly addressed.

Clearly, the system you have in place isn’t working. Please, hire someone to fix it.

I am still hoping the dress arrives on time, which would be somewhat redeeming. But at this stage, honestly I don't know anymore...

UPDATE: I finally received an email a FULL WEEK AFTER they said they’d process it “as soon as possible,” confirming they had arranged for the order to be resent. It’s now been two days since that email, and I still haven’t received any confirmation that the dress has actually been shipped. At this point, I’ve decided to cancel the order and request a full refund. We’ll see how long that takes...

This entire experience has been deeply disappointing. I’ve already unfollowed them on Instagram and don’t plan on purchasing again - at least not unless they make serious improvements to their customer service. Right now, it feels like I’ve fallen into a marketing trap with little substance behind it (and I really hate to say that). All I wanted was for the dress I paid for to arrive- and for the AYM team to be far more communicative and accountable.

LAST UPDATE (06/10/25): AYM have really made up for the disappointment and sent the parcel on next-day delivery. They were apologetic, took accountability, and acknowledged a need to improve their systems regarding delayed parcels, etc. Honestly, after all the stress, that's all I wanted - so I am happy with the outcome. The dress is of great quality; the fabric is heavy, and it is surprisingly comfortable, considering how tight it can be at the waist. Fingers crossed they manage to sort their comms 🤞 When they do, there won't be much to fault here!

My experience was overall positive

My experience was overall positive. I've been eyeing these dresses online for a while now and finally decided to try them out. The whole dress is lined, looks well made and the fabric feels very heavy duty so it's probably not the best dress for summer but I can see myself wearing it at the office all the time. My order arrived within a week and there were no hidden taxes or fees which you can often encounter ordering from the UK nowadays. Is it worth the price tag? Debatable but overall I am happy with my purchase and would consider ordering again in the future.

Deeply Disappointed – Unacceptable Customer Service

I purchased the Venus dress in green, which was presented on the website as a regular, in-stock item – not a preorder. However, after placing my order, I was informed that the dress was, in fact, a preorder item, due to 'mistake' on the website. In other words, the product was sold to me as immediately available, but in fact it wasn't.

I was offered the option to select a different color or style if the revised delivery time did not suit me. The new timeline was not acceptable, as the dress had been purchased specifically for a scheduled event, and it was now clear it would not arrive on time.

I attempted to contact the company via email in order to cancel the order or choose an alternative, but received no response whatsoever. This complete lack of communication is entirely unprofessional and reflects a concerning level of disregard for customers.

Eventually, the dress arrived over a month later than expected, long after it was needed. During this entire time, the company held my payment, and no effort was made to resolve the issue. What adds further disappointment is the fact that I am now required to pay £10 for the return shipping, despite the fault lying entirely with the company.
To summarise my experience with AYM:
I did not receive the dress on time,
I was ignored by customer service,
now I am financially penalised for returning a product I could not use.
This experience has been frustrating and falls below reasonable standard of customer care. I do not recommend this company, and I regret not having read the reviews on Trust pilot beforehand – many of which clearly warned about the same issues, particularly the poor and unresponsive customer service.

This has been the most frustrating and dishonest experience I’ve ever had with a brand. I ordered a dress from AYM Studio for €162, and it clearly said “taxes and duties included” at checkout. But then I got slapped with a €145 customs bill when the package arrived in Greece. That’s nearly DOUBLE the cost.

When I contacted their “customer service,” they ignored the actual issue and kept sending me the same copy-paste responses like robots. I asked for a refund and return — they completely refused. No help, no solution, no accountability.

They’ve taken my money, lied about what’s included in the price, and now they won’t even give it back. The dress is sitting unused while I’m stuck dealing with this mess.

I honestly feel scammed. They market themselves as ethical and transparent — but this is anything but that. If you’re shopping internationally, run the other way.

Absolutely disgusted with the way this company treats its customers. Never again.

Outstanding service and high quality garments!

The team at AYM were extremely professional and helpful when things went wrong. I ordered the Lullah Drape Maxi dress in blue, and it arrived with a small white stain on the front. I contacted them about this and they immediately offered either a 20% refund or to be sent a new dress. As this was for a special occasion I opted for a new dress, and within 2 days a new dress had arrived at my door, and I was able to return the other dress with ease.
