On time, pleasant driver

I use 001 when I go to Oxford which is usually monthly. They have proved reliable and the pricing is both honest and transparent. Drivers are usually chatty and I find ideal to chat about current topics. Only gripe would be the app isn't always cooperative or that accurate re pick up. However the app does make the money side easy and you can print receipts if you're having to do expense claims. All in all seem a good firm and I would recommend them.

The gps tracking system is ALWAYS inaccurate. For example, it tells you your taxi is still 10mins away, when it is already waiting for you at your door!! Sometimes also it cancels your booking without warning, after you have already been told your cab is on its way, and you have already been waiting for up to8-10 mins!!!

I love supporting local businesses, but being local is not an excuse for complacency. I prebooked a 001 taxi to take me to the station, only for the allocated car to arrive around 30 minutes late. When I called to check, I was told it was “rush hour with lots of school traffic” — an explanation that did nothing to address my prebooking or my need to catch a train.

There was no apology and no concern for letting me down. Uber arrived in under ten minutes. Sadly, in Oxfordshire it seems you’re better off using Uber than relying on the local unreliable 001 Taxis. Supporting local businesses should not mean accepting poor service.

Unreliable.
We had booked a taxi for a hospital appointment and the taxi failed to arrive, despite us receiving a text to say it had arrived! When we texted back to ask where it was we received no answer. The company was good at sending a replacement when we phoned but it meant a late arrival at the hospital.
