Avoid- possible scam
The same experience as everyone else- received a payment error after giving my details so to be safe I cancelled my card as most likely is a scam.
Potentially fraudulent website
Agree with other reports that this has hallmarks of a scam website aimed at collecting your card details. Potentially fake Visa Verify window could be used to encourage input of a second card's details so they collect more card details. If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat...Could of course be genuine but just looks dodgy but I certainly couldn't get any card to be accepted or get through on their number. Had to cancel cards as a result - just felt far too suspicious. Company details on the website are of a company incorporated in October 2025.
Takes card details and doesn't process…
Takes card details and doesn't process order.
Telephone number doesn't work either.
Looks very very fake. I wouldn't trust them.
Seems to be a scam site
Seems to be a scam site. Gave my card details which were then rejected twice. Reported to card provider. BEWARE!
Cards not accepted - scam
I had the same experience, tried one card twice and it failed, tried a second card and that failed too, so then I became suspicious and have cancelled my cards.
SCAM - steals and uses your card details
Tried to buy a £12 book. Card not accepted. Smelled a rat! Cancelled credit card. Within a few hours, my account showed an £1100 charge, pending without authorisation. Hope I cancelled in time and glad I didn't try other cards. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Scam site
Scam site - no pay pal option is a red flag. And phone number doesn’t connect to anyone.
The same experience as everyone else
The same experience as everyone else - card payment failed. Obliged to cancel my card just before Christmas - my own fault for not checking the site properly. These scammers are disgusting.
SCAM WEBSITE
SCAM WEBSITE - takes card details from you and says payment failed. Have cancelled my cards. AVOID.
It's a scam
It's a scam . They're harvesting card details . I've just cancelled mine having tried to order a book from them
If its too good to be true... It is
Wish I'd seen the reddit thread first but thought I was getting a bargain, like many others! Payment didn't process so foolishly tried another card. After that didn't work a quick Google shows images are directly lifted from Waterstones and also AI. Another review site shows postive reviews including that of the company director. Bank contacted and website reported via Government cyber crime portal.
SCAM.
SCAM. Gave me a "payment error" much like everyone else, and I only saw the plethora of 1-star reviews after making this mistake and quickly cancelled my card.
Shame on these people for running scams like this so close to Christmas!
Same experience as everyone else
Same experience as everyone else. Error at checkout. Tried two cards. Got suspicious - read the reviews. Now cancelling my cards BEFORE Christmas. What a horrid scam.
Scam site! Go elsewhere!
Rejected my card details three times but after checking everyone elses reviews have cancelled my card. Scam site, wish I'd checked first!
SCAM
Total scam to collect your card details. Just before Christmas, grrrr... Thanks to everyone who posted here - helped me to take prompt action cancelling my cards.
These are serious, well-organised scammers. It’s a pain to have to cancel your cards but do it immediately if you haven’t already.
PHISHING website!!
PHISHING website!!! Do not use!!!
Looks legit, but after entering your personal details and card details it says card error and prompts to enter another card. Same thing happens.
Reported this to Google and National action fraud.
Looks like scam
The problem starts at the payment page, everything upto then looked legit. As others have said the payments did not go through after putting in details of two different cards - looks like they are mining card details. What a hassle!!
AVOID!
As others have said previously, you put your card details in and receive a message saying payment failed.
