Same bad experience as everyone else

Same experience as everyone else - card not working, tried another card. Froze, and then cancelled, both bank cards at the bank. Reported to NCSC as a suspicious site, and to Google as likely phishing / scam.

The site has now been taken down.

Scam website

Scam website - trying to collect your card details and will not actually send you any books.
I fell for this as the website looks legitimate but encountered the same problems trying to buy books once I had put them in my cart - saying there was an issue with my card. I then found all the reviews saying it is a scam and have cancelled my card.

Worthing books scam

Just done the same thing, now cancelled my card. Reported to national cyber security agency. Really quick and easy on their website. Everyone should report so we can get the site taken down.

Plausible con. Bank Card Scam!

Same experience as others on here..repeated attempts to complete transaction failed, "check details or try another card" advice. Gave the whole thing up after all attempts failed. Next day had multiple emails saying "my book was "still in the basket" with a link to it. Like a mug I clicked link. I thought they had fixed a problem, as like the website it really looked genuine. Guess what, I got same result as previous night on the website. I tried the phone number - didn't connect, tried email & this was undeliverable. So gave had to Cancel bank cards and could kick myself for falling for the con. It all was so professional and genuine looking, no typos, poor grammar, odd layout etc. What I didn't do, is check the company out at Companies House. I live in West Sussex, and Worthing Books was a plausible name. But the phone area code was a bit of an anomaly, it's not for Worthing.
Apologies for blowing off steam! Avoid like the plague and report all dealings with them.

Scam: Keep clear.

Tried to order. Card error. No joy with other cards. Sent email. No reply. Rang number. No answer.
These people are up to no good.
Yet another condemning review.
Keep away.

TAKE THIS SITE DOWN

TAKE THIS SITE DOWN, HOW IS THIS A TOP RESULT ON GOOGLE?!

Same as most other reviews, found through Google, thought was legit, issue with payment card - thankfully used disposable details the first time, failed so stupidly used my actual card details the second time, failed! Said it was Visa when it was actually Mastercard so alarm bells went off. Checked reviews and immediatly cancelled my card. Thank god for disposable card details or I would be replacing 2 and not just 1 card.

SCAM

SCAM! I tried to order and had a payment error, I was about to enter details for another card when I stopped and googled them. Trust Pilot and Reddit quickly made me realise this is a scam website. I cancelled my cards quickly and luckily they did not take any payments. I have reported the website to the Nation Cyber Security Centre, and I urge others to do the same. I can only hope it gets taken down swiftly!

🚨SCAM - Cancel your bank card🚨

🚨SCAM - AVOID🚨
If something looks too good to be true then it probably is. Wish I read the reviews first.
Pretty much same experience as everyone else, says there’s an error, try another card then just keeps you on the page long enough to harvest your card details.
Bank card now cancelled and I’m awaiting a new one.
