Absolutely ridiculous company
Absolutely ridiculous company, rude on the phone whenever you have issues, we left them, paid our invoice left and they were stills ending us monthly bills to be paid and threating and then telling me to dismiss the emails they were still sending after! Upon requesting the hardware box back they demanded I paid to send it back to them which I said no, they eventually provided a paid label, which I took to the post office as they said I could and they couldn't send it as it needed to be printed, multiple times I said to v4 about I can't print it as I work alot and don't have access to any printer as every shop is closed by the time I finish work, I asked for a QR code so I can drop it off at a post office before work, they wouldn't provide this and I kept asking and then they sent a threating email saying they were going to fine me for the device, I told them to come and get it themselves, or provide a way I can send it back. What happens for the elderly or those who cannot leave their house, v4 are absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. In the end my sister kindly sent it off for me when I saw her as she has a printer. The label was invalid and they couldn't send it!

A Shady Company and a Terrible Experience
I switched to this ISP hoping to improve my internet connection and instead found the exact opposite. For over a year I suffered constant outages, which their support was never able to resolve. This affected my livelihood, which was dependant on a working internet connection. I was forced to spend hours on troubleshooting calls with their tech support during working hours. And when the line would go down, it would take them days to send out someone to fix it, all the while I was unable to work. And said engineer visit would never produce a permenant fix. Despite this, they refused to let me out of a contract they clearly were in a breach of (to provide a functional internet line). And their early termination fees are to simply charge what the customer would have paid for service over the remainder of the contract (nearly £600 in my case). This is highly unusual for an ISP and shows you their attitude towards customers - bleeding them of every penny they can get away with.
If their shady refusal to either properly fix my line or let me out of the contract wasn't bad enough, at its end, they tried to trick me into another 24 months contract. I was deperate to move to another ISP as soon as my contract expired, but they sent me a sneaky email 3 months before my contract ended with details on a contract renewal. They treated no response as consent to renew. Now luckily I refused this in writing, but after a subsequent call with the support on an unrelated matter (yet another line issue) they went ahead with the renewal, falsely claiming that in this call I had asked for a renewal. They then tried to charge me a £600 early termination fee when I realised what they had done, and tried to get out. Luckily, I knew my rights, so I demanded a recording of the call where they alleged that I had asked for a contract renewal. They eventually got back to me with a sheepish non-admission of guilt which stated that I had not, in fact asked for a renewal, and so was able to get out of the contract they had imposed on me against my consent without paying their extortionate exit fees. I still ended up paying for several months of service under this new contract I never wanted however.
Before this ISP I had Now. After it I have had Vodafone. No issues at all with either. I went with the little guy, hoping for more, but ended up bitterly regretting my decision.

Every issue became a fight. I completely lost trust in V4 Consumer
After nearly two years with V4 Consumer, I have completely lost trust in this company.
What should have been a simple broadband service has become one of the most exhausting customer service experiences I have ever had. Every issue seems to turn into a fight. Every bill needs checking. Every promise needs verifying. Every problem seems to require me to prove, chase, correct and explain things over and over again.
The most frustrating part is the pattern. I have repeatedly been made to feel like I was wrong, confused, or misunderstanding things, only to later find out that the issue I raised was valid.
I have had billing errors, unexplained or incorrect charges, credits that were promised but not applied properly, and a situation where I had to keep checking V4’s own billing to identify mistakes myself. Even when V4 confirmed something in writing, I still had to chase again because the correction was not actually processed properly.
This is not just about small amounts of money. It is about the time, stress and energy taken away from me as a customer. I have spent personal time and work time dealing with issues that should never have dragged on this long. An internet provider is supposed to make life easier by providing a reliable service. In my experience, V4 has done the opposite by creating repeated admin, frustration and disruption.
The customer service has been extremely poor. Emails were left unanswered for long periods, even after follow-ups. I asked for complaint matters to be handled in writing, but I was still contacted by phone at unsuitable times, including during work hours. I also received voicemails about unresolved tickets being closed, even though the complaint had not been properly answered in writing.
There were also broadband downtime and speed issues. When I reported downtime, V4 asked me to provide proof. I sent screenshots/photos as PNG files, which is a completely standard image format. I was then told they could not view PNG files, so I had to convert them to JPEG myself. Coming from an internet company, that felt especially poor. A customer should not have to convert standard image evidence just so a broadband provider can look at proof they requested.
My name was also repeatedly misspelled for a long time. Even after V4 confirmed it had been corrected, it was still showing incorrectly in their system and appeared incorrectly again in written correspondence. On its own, that may sound small, but after everything else, it shows a lack of care and attention to basic account details.
After all of this, V4 offered me a £5 goodwill credit. I found that genuinely disrespectful considering the amount of time I have spent chasing their mistakes, correcting their billing, dealing with poor communication, and trying to get basic issues resolved. £5 does not come close to reflecting the time, inconvenience and loss of trust caused by this experience.
I also asked for fee-free termination because I no longer have confidence in V4’s ability to manage my account accurately or provide a reasonable standard of customer service. V4 refused.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering V4 Consumer to think very carefully before signing up. I have never dealt with a company that made me feel so ignored, frustrated and exhausted simply trying to receive the service and pricing I was promised.

I'm very very happy with Malik service, so good and clear information, provided very great service, gave helpful information.

The internet was down and, despite attempts to reboot the system, remained down . I telephoned for help and within 10mins the internet was connected and it was explained to me very clearly what the problem was.

Malik was extremely helpful and advised me regarding the best system for my needs .he was polite and informative and I am very happy with the service he provided
I had concerns about ‘two’ price increases… April and July
I had concerns about two price increases, despite having a 24-month contract with no price increases, and had to follow up several times before the matter was resolved.
The customer service experience was particularly disappointing. I often felt I was being given the run-around rather than receiving clear answers. Whether this is down to training, sales targets, or the size of the organisation, something clearly isn’t working as it should at V4 Consumer. I ultimately decided to switch provider.
V4 Consumer eventually applied a discount, which I appreciate. However, despite my requests, I was not provided with a clear breakdown explaining how the discount or final amount had been calculated. My time is valuable, so I have decided to leave the matter there.
The broadband service itself was reliable and competitively priced (at original price). However, I would not recommend V4 Consumer because of my experience with their customer service and billing.
There are other providers offering competitive prices, professional customer service and clearer billing.
UPDATE
I have now paid my final invoice and cancelled my Direct Debit afterwards. My account is closed and settled, yet I am now receiving payment warnings from V4 Consumer for September.
The latest email is headed:
“URGENT – Direct Debit Cancelled – September 2026 due amount £32.53 – Suspension Alert – V4 Consumer”
It warns of possible credit-control action, £19.99 non-Direct Debit administration charges, payment reminders, credit-control activity and potential service restrictions or suspension.
This is despite my account being closed and the final invoice having been paid.
At this point, the billing system appears to be in as much need of attention as the customer service. My experience has confirmed that switching provider was the right decision.
Avoid!!!!!
If you like variable (slow or slower) bandwidth, being hassled by nuisance calls and offer to upgrade you when you leave these are your peeps!!!!
I returned my router a month ago and still get invoices saying I'm still making calls!!!!
Avoid!!!!!
Sky Q Box issues.
My Sky Q box wouldn't connect to the Internet. I tried resetting and reconnecting different things, but it was still the same. I Googled for an answer, and then contacted V4 Consumer. I spoke with SUMIT, and he knew what the issue was before I said it. From that point, he resolved the issue and upgraded the V4 Broadband Hub remotely, and doing so politely and efficiently. Many thanks Sumit.

Charlotte was very clear and helpful. She made me feel a valued customer. The wait to talk to her was minimal and the time taken to arrange a new broadband deal, short.
⭐ Extremely disappointing service
⭐ Extremely disappointing service
We have had an awful experience with V4 Consumer. The broadband worked reasonably well for nearly two years, but during that time they have also increased the price, despite the service not being particularly good in terms of coverage — the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach very far within our small flat.
When we first moved in, we had three weeks without Wi-Fi, and now we have had another major issue for the past two weeks.
The latest issue has been incredibly frustrating. We have spent hours speaking to their technical team, but the problem still hasn’t been resolved. Both my flatmate and I have had to use our personal 5G data just to work from home.
The lack of urgency and poor customer service throughout this experience has been extremely disappointing. We have repeatedly been passed around rather than having the underlying issue properly resolved.
I would not recommend V4 Consumer.
