Unilodgers 

I had a brilliant experience with Unilodgers! I especially want to thank Diksha and Jaspreet, who helped me patiently and unconditionally throughout the process. I was very confused between a few places and kept changing my mind, but they patiently helped and answered all my queries with kindness. They are the reason I decided to go ahead with Unilodgers :) Also Bhavya was wonderful about the entire booking process and he guided me SO well. Hats off to these guys! It is only because of them that I decided to pick Unilodgers as my accommodation platform. Very wonderful, warm, friendly and SUPER helpful. Thanks SO much Jaspreet, Diksha, Bhavya :) you guys are rockstars!!

Had some initial problems uploading my ID for my application but that was quickly resolved. The 24 hour support over WhatsApp was really useful and they got back to me quickly whenever I left a message and their responses were very friendly and informative in their responses. :)

Unilodgers is nothing but a middleman for you to search accommodation listings. That is all they are good for. Don't hold your breath for the vouchers or incentives. Like many others, I never received mine. I moved in in September. It is now end of 2021 and I have not received any of the incentives they listed. Not a single one. I've emailed them, called them, and only received generic responses of "escalating to the relevant team", or that they are "having trouble receiving vouchers". Do not trust them if the incentives are what's motivating you to make a booking.

Additionally, as a service provider, Unilodgers is essentially useless. I made payments, room requests, etc. directly with the accommodation because going through Unilodgers took too long as they act as the middleman. I could have just gone through the accommodation directly and got a better deal. Use Unilodgers only to search for accommodation providers that interest you and look up the accommodation's own website. Sometimes the providers might even have discounts or deals on their own, or other booking websites might have better rates.

I honestly just count myself lucky that the accommodation booking itself wasn't also a scam.

I’ve heard some version of their “you will receive your vouchers soon” for months lol. My ex has given me better excuses than you. For anyone thinking of using Unilodgers, please read all the reviews. I saw one where someone waited for their vouchers for TWO YEARS and still didn’t get it lmao. I highly doubt they’re doing anything to get your vouchers. The lack of transparency is clear - these are empty promises and false advertising. Honestly, because all the incentives are a scam, just use a different provider or reach out to the accommodation themselves. They likely have better/referral deals.

If you want to book a room from the website, go ahead and do it. But if you're only booking through them to get some of the offers they claim that you'll receive, please do not fall for it. If you read through some of the reviews below, you'll see that its a recurring theme. They claim its under process, but say the same thing every time you ask them. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the booking process was very smooth.

It has been 15 months since I booked a room through their website with the promise of my voucher to be delivered within 3 months of my first rent payment. Even after corresponding with them several times, they've delayed the release by giving me the same generic email over 30 times. The finance team is joke. Do not fall for their offers and book with them. You're better off directly booking with your respective accommodations.

It’s nice to let Unilodgers help with my apartment.

Recently, I had to find short term accomodation in London to go to school. Luckily, a gentleman by the name of Sudhanshu Dangi from Unilodgers helped me accomplish this. Being from Canada and never visiting London I found it difficult as I didn’t know the area and the housing selection was limited. Sudhanshu was incredible. I feel he went the extra mile trying to find the right accomodation for me. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is knowledgeable, a great communicator and incredibly hard working. Thank you so much for all your time and effort.

Constant help from unilodgers in getting the accommodation booked and made it as easy as it can be. Constant help from the team and proper information provided every time I had a question.

Accommodation away from home is the second home that I wanted to have affordable, close to uni and with needed amenities. I am glad to share that I found a dedicated service provider as Unilodgers. The team went about understanding all my needs and suggest the best accommodations available. The relentless efforts and transparency are some of the few traits that makes me recommend them to any student.

They will look after you and will ensure you are settled in even after checking in. My counsellor, Deepak truly exhibits the traits that the company promises.

Total scam! They claimed they refunded the initial deposit for the room, but the receipt they provided had a clearly different name from mine or the name on the card I paid it with. Have followed up with emails regarding this but they stopped replying after the first one, scamming me out of 100 pounds. Do yourself a favour and use another provider or book directly with the accommodation company. Also, it has been 11 months since I first moved in my booked accommodation and Unilodgers still has not given me the voucher they lured me in with. I have sent about 10 emails requesting the release of the voucher to no avail.

EMBARRASSING! I cancelled a booking on August 11th and had to run through absolute HOOPS call me the Professor just to get it back, finally got paid on the 29th October, a full 10 weeks when they said it would take 2-3, the property gave me completely different responses every time on who to contact as did Unilodgers, received the same email about 5 times saying "refund still in process" not helpful at all, got told to email one account team who never responded so then got told to contact another one, so much bureaucracy it was as if no one knew how the business worked, and if I didn't keep on hassling I know for sure it would never have got back to me, so just be aware 🥴

Booking went through okay. However, the promotion of a free amazon voucher is just to lure you in. They said I'd receive it in 3 months, then soon, then in the following days. It's now been 7 months! This needs to be investigated for fraud, you sign up on the notion you'll receive vouchers (probably so you choose them over other authentic agencies) and then you don't receive ANYTHING. Avoid,avoid,avoid!!!!!

They are really helpful and most reliable.

Unfortunately, the promise of a voucher is a scam. Having moved into my accommodation at the beginning of September last year and already moving out a month ago, I still do not have my voucher.

After contacting the support team countless times, I was only given empty promises that the voucher would be released soon. A couple of months ago, I was told that they were "Happy to inform me that my voucher has been approved and will be released in a few days." and I am still yet to hear anything.

I will try to update this review in case the voucher does get to me. As of right now, I recommend contacting your accommodation directly as you usually would be able to access more options such as choosing the floor or even the room itself. If you are choosing Unilodgers just for the voucher, then you might end up being disappointed.
