SCAM! AVOID!
Was promised a £100 Amazon voucher upon booking and referring them as my agents. I've been waiting since November 2021 and still nothing.
Each time I've contacted them, they reply with the same generic lie about there being a "delay with releasing the vouchers".
I would also suggest NOT to bother booking your accommodation through them, as when I called up the accommodation they said that they hadn't received any booking with my name through unilodgers.
DON'T BOOK WITH THEM!!!
SCAMMERS!!!
SCAMMERS!!!
My voucher never came, it was the only reason I booked through them!!
Stepped through the process well and…
Stepped through the process well and was on hand to help with any issues with very fast response time.
Also, contacted my accommodation to change my payment instalment plan for me.
If I could give 0 stars I would 🤩
If I could give 0 stars I would 🤩
STILL haven't recieved my vouchers that I was promised upon referring them as my booking agent.
Ongoing issue since December 2021.
A whole 2 years 🥳
Customer service is of no *assistance* just the generic 'in the process of releasing'.
Fast response and helped with payments.
12 months late and counting
They said the Amazon vouchers they promised would arrive no later than 3 months after I submitted the form. It’s now been 15 months. I’m far from the only one they’ve done this to. Seems 1-star reviews are the only thing that works.
Unilodgers Fails to Follow Through on Promised £250 Bonus
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Unilodgers. Despite signing up with them and being promised a £250 bonus, I have yet to receive this money even after waiting for over a year and a half. Furthermore, the company has completely stopped communicating with me about the issue and has constantly delayed any resolution by saying they will "get back to me soon." This lack of professionalism and follow-through is unacceptable. Any assistance in resolving this situation would be greatly appreciated and I would be grateful for any help in recovering the money that was promised to me.
Gave false information about a room.
I have searched for a private Ensuite room. Unilodgers specifically promised me I will not be sharing a room when I asked about an option they provided.
When I received the welcome letter from the land owner, I saw that I am in fact sharing a room, contrary to what was promised.
When contacting Unilodgers, they basically said "you were an agreement and an invoice which you agreed to".
That is correct. I did agree to the agreement and saw the invoice, however neither one of them has a description of the room, just its name. The only description I had to go by is what Unilodgers said, which turned out to be false.
So now I'm stuck in a room that does not suit me for the rest of the year.
Great thank for unilodgers team
Great thank for unilodgers team! They are willing to answer and professional explanation for all of my questions, also help me to fix many different problems.
Accommodation deposit taken, very difficult to get refund as no accommodation available
I was trying to secure student accommodation in Manchester for my daughter in early September. This required me to pay a c.£150 deposit. The money was taken from my account but it was immediately clear there was no accommodation available and this didn’t change
I emailed them for a refund which was ignored. I used WhatsApp to contact them and they said they’d tried to refund but it failed. The refund was paid to me a few days ago but it felt like I had to do a lot of chasing to get my money back

0 Stars. Would not use UniLodgers again! Still waiting on a return of $1200 deposit!
Still waiting on a return of $1200 deposit since February 2022!
This is my first ever bad review, but I want others to be warned. UniLodgers promotes that they are flexible and will return your deposit if you cancel within the specified cancelation period. Although I canceled within the allowed period (for my Brisbane, Australia, accommodation) they did not return my $1200 deposit. I have emailed them the relevant documentation twice through the year, but they will not respond to my emails. I have also tried to contact by phone without success. This seems to be an impossible company to work with once they have your money. I would strongly recommend booking directly with accommodation rather than use UniLodgers as a third-party booking agent.
I am grateful for all the help and…
I am grateful for all the help and support the team of IQ accommodation gave me, they were always there throughout the whole process
A scam, not honour promised gifts, avoid
They advertised to award you a £150 Amazon voucher. After I moved in, I submitted the required documents and they never sent me the voucher. I emailed them a number of times, each time, they sent back a canned response message saying it took longer than anticipated for them to sort out the voucher, but it would be on the way. A year has passed, nothing happened. It's just a scam to get you to book through them so they can earn the commission. It's also incredibly difficult to talk to them on the phone as the UK phone number is hardly manned and after a few minutes, it just hangs up automatically. If you have an issue, you cannot really count on them to sort out the problem for you with this kind of service. I'll definitely not use them for my next year's accommodation.
Avoid at all costs.
Would not recommend …
I recently booked accommodation with uni lodgers. To then be told that the room I had booked wasn’t actually available and that I couldn’t proceed, in which I had already put down a £100 deposit. I then got a phone call from one of the employees who tried to sell me another uni accommodation for more then triple my price range. I have contacted them three times regarding getting my refund which I was told over the phone I would be getting but these emails have been ignored.
Great customer service!
The online platform was very easy to navigate but the customer support staff was excellent. They called me from time to time and cleared all my queries expertly and were very quick to get back to me on whatsApp whenever I had troubles to complete my tenancy agreement.
Scammers
One of the worst companies i used. They lie about all the vouchers they promise to give out, from 100-200£ Amazon vouchers. They would never give them to you, and they would keep delaying for months over months about how they are “in the final stages of giving them out”. You want my advice? Never use UniLodgers, instead book your accommodation from your accommodations website.
Very professional and welcoming :)
My experience with Unilodgers has been extremely positive! They were very fast in providing me with the housing I needed and continued to keep in touch with me via phone calls to ensure everything was running smoothly. They were extremely efficient and I was involved in every step of the process. Overall great experience!
scammers (coming from a student)
(SCAM) If you are looking to use Unilodgers to earn the 100£ Amazon voucher. I will save your time and money, don't use Unilodgers, just go and use your accommodations website which is easier and cheaper. This company is based on deceiving customers to book their accommodation through them by falsely advertising that they will give you 100£ amazon vouchers, then they would absolutely ignore your emails, or would keep coming up with excuses to postpone giving you the vouchers until you forget, and they won't give them to you. we are in August 2022 and I was contacting them since dec 2021, 8-9 months of them telling me the voucher will be with me shortly. I have evidence of more than 12 emails, you can ask me for evidence and i will show you, NEVER USE UNILODGERS. SCAMMERS. I will do my absolute best to expose this company with my personal experience of using them and getting scammed. I will share my experience through a video and publish it to help everyone from falling into their lies.
