Ryobi Chain Saw - chain falls off
Bought a Ryobi Chain Saw. The chain falls off every 5-10 minutes. Extremely annoying. It takes 10 min to put it back on. My father has the same tool and exactly the same problem. I give it two stars, instead of one, because it is very cheap and it is not completely useless. After all, it does work for 5-10 minutes...
Both batteries dead on 18v drill
Bought a Ryobi 18v drill for DIY use only 5 months ago and both batteries have died and will not hold a charge even though the charger lights go through the motions.
No wonder Screwfix have a big notice "WE DO NOT SELL RYOBI" when you put in Ryobi as a search !
Free tool hasn't turned up
My girlfriend bought me a tool for Christmas and it qualified for the "12 tools of Christmas" promotion that Ryobi were doing where you could pick a free tool. We put the claim in, it got accepted and my girlfriend got an email saying it would be delivered within 2 weeks. 3 weeks later still nothing so she emailed them and they blamed it on staffing in the warehouse because of COVID. It's been 5 weeks now and still nothing. It's funny how they can restock ratchets on Amazon and there have been no delays on other tools I have ordered during the pandemic but when it comes to sending out a free tool from their promotion there's a big delay and excuses

NOT WORTH BUYING.
Bought a Ryobi patio cleaner that came…
Bought a Ryobi patio cleaner that came with a 2Ah batter & charger. The battery only ran the tool for 10-15 mins which I didn’t think was correct (cleaning the patio would have taken me days). It then took 2.75 - 3 hours to recharge. I have tried on 5 occasions now to contact Ryobi without a single response.
They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life, being in customer revise my self, I am absolutely appalled and anyone wotking in their customer service department should be ashamed of their job titles.
Bought Ryobi Roundover Router Bit Set…
Bought Ryobi Roundover Router Bit Set A25RS41 at same time I bought Ryobi battery powered Trim Router. After first time I used 3/8" roundover bit I tried to disassemble and lubricate the bid. The allen wrench included in the set rounded out. It just spun in the screw head. I called Ryobi they would not take responsibility for or rectify the problem. TOTAL JUNK!
I am a 71 year old widow and I can't…
I am a 71 year old widow and I can't tell you how much I enjoy Ryobi tools. Almost all of the batteries are interchangeable, the tools are light weight and I think priced reasonably. I just purchased the Ryobi blower because I can use all my batteries if I need to. Great tools worth buying
Lack of quality control and customer service
Bought a Ryobi Jet Fan blower On-Line in September for leaves due to fall. Out of the box it's missing parts in handle! Contacted customer service and they sent me parts. After assembly it won't start! Returned unit to Home Depot and they shipped it to Ryobi service center. Told to expect six (6) weeks for unit return! I needed it now! Contacted Ryobi service for replacement since they sold a defective unit. Not possible. So, mid November it arrived. It was a Very Bad 1st experience with Ryobi. Won't happen again. Good thing I own a Stihl blower also. Oh, its over 20 years old and never had a problem.
False advertising
Bought a cordless drill. Product packaging had li-on and ni-cd on it, but guess what, drill battery turned out to be Ni-cd and died after1 year. Trouble was it wasn't a cheap product either so believe it was falsely advertised and mis-sold.
Not impressed at all and would stay well clear
I purchased a Ryobi power washer and I…
I purchased a Ryobi power washer and I followed ALL of the requirements outlined in the owners manual. After approximately 4hrs of use the washer burnt through the oil and could not be fixed. Ryobi stated they refuse to take responsibility for their faulty equipment. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I believe people taking should take responsibility for their product and having some sort of integrity. The executives at Ryobi have absolutely NO INTEGRITY. Its all about money to them. I am a new Craftsman customer. Thanks Ryobi

One + Inflator/Deflator Possible Fire Hazard
I bought this inflator because I was able to use the same batteries for my leaf blower and drill. I have never had any issues with my 12 volt drill, table saw our compound miter saw. Now I’m totally rethinking my new purchases. I used the inflator 5 or six times and it worked great until it stopped running and Caught Fire. Being the retired Firefighter that I am, I called Ryobi and filed a safety report over the phone, that was on 09/09/2020. They have never made a attempt to contact me. You would think that they would since there product caught fire. Use at your own risk! Do not use indoors! Warning Possible Fire Hazard.
Worst customer service ever.
I am having the worst time trying o resolve a warrant issue with Ryobi. I purchased a Ryobi pressure washer about a year ago at my local Home Depot. I was using it the other day when I heard a lid metal cracking sound and the unit stopped immediately. The engine block had cracked on the back side ,so I called Ryobi and they directed me to a service center 90 minutes away and they informed me it would cost me$100 to evaluate and they would have to send to Ryobi for them to agree to possibly replace. No guarantees and the lady told me their customer service was terrible and good luck. I than wrote them to only have them send me a response 2 days later to call back to their warranty dept. who again was directing me back to the same service center. So much for customer service, This unit has probably been used less than 20 times since purchased and the oil is changed and check often. My last pressure washer was an Excel and lasted me over 10 years without issues. I will never purchase another Ryobi product nor would I recommend them to anyone else if this is how they handle their customers. Jennifer or Jessica who took my call today didn’t seem to care one bit about my issues, but just kept telling me I would have to take to a service center with no guarantees. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON RYOBI PRODUCTS. THEY DON’T STAND BEHIND THEM AT ALL.
Sincerely,
Richard W. N.C.
I am only talking about the 18v 1plus
I am only talking about the 18v 1plus. thats all I have right now. They are the greatest. we just got power back from Zeta. What a pain. Lots of clean up. of course any cordless screwdriver is useful. ran me ryobi fan for 2 nights on 1 battery and still half charged. I have 2 of the little inverters. they are so cool. nightlight, recharge phones. I tested them with a fan when i first got them fan ran for 8 hours before i gave up. they run led lights for super long. my big spotlight helped us see the outside at night. radios and flashlights. Ryobi has the best selection, and excellent quality. Been remodeling a room with nothing but ryobi tools. All but 1 is cordless. I'm sticking with ryobi 18volt for the quality and selection. i have 2 of the 9amp batteries and several 4amp. never ran a battery dead. cordless circular saw has been great fixing all my messed up fences too. keep up the good work ryobi

FAILED RYOBI JIGSAW
My son gave me a Ryobi Jigsaw, model RJS850, used it twice but the second time I used it the blade fell out and will not remain in place. The machine is now rendered unusable. I contacted Ryobi who would only tell me that there was nothing they could do as I did not have the receipt to prove purchase details - my son threw it away! The code on the machine proved the date of manufacture and it still had a warranty in place. Despite my pleas for a bit of customer goodwill I drew a blank and am now in possession of a useles £100 + "brand new" jigsaw. I would have been happy even with a replacement part to fix it but I was refused this request. I will not buy any more Ryobi products. Arthur.
electric jet fan blower
I only purchased ryobi tools so it was no big surprise when i bought the electric jet fan blower. this tool has so much power and at 135 mph it get the job done fast .only weighing 7 lbs it's light weight easy to handle and at a very affordable price you can'beet it, thanks ryobi for another great product.
Please be aware if you are purchasing…
Please be aware if you are purchasing the Ryobi tools for the extended warranty, as this is a farce. Registered all of my tools with the scan of the receipt, to prove purchase, then try to have a tool repaired under warranty and "cannot do" - if you Purchase a Ryobi hold onto your receipt and return to the place of purchase as the warranty repair service from Ryobi is a non starter
I have loved Ryobi products and was in…
I have loved Ryobi products and was in the midst of building up quite a collection, I purchased a multi tool to install shutters a year ago, I have not used it until now, Is started to shape wood and it died, totally! changed the battery and nothing.
I have tried to contact Ryobi, which is ludicrous and have to have an account, they even want your date of birth? I am writing on here and realised they have not checked these reviews for over 2 months.
Poor quality and poor customer service, I am so glad I bought my mitre saw from another company
Bought a drill just over a year ago…
Bought a drill just over a year ago from Argos, with 2 year manufacturers warranty extended to 3 years if registered . It's not working properly.
Ryobi say Argos bought the 2 year warranty and they cover it. Argos say that Ryobi cover it. Neither Argos or Ryobi care at all about helping me. I have several Ryobi tools and it appears that if you buy a Ryobi tool it does not mean Ryobi will cover it if it goes faulty within the manufacturers warranty period.
Very dissapointed .
