We bought the battery for the lawn…

We bought the battery for the lawn mower last year. But when we called when it died, they told us the warranty (that was 3 years), had expired. What? Did they start the warranty 2 years before we bought it? Then what's the point? Shall we just start a company with warranties and then start every warranty when we put it in our warehouse for a few years, and then sell it to the customers and tell them it's already expired when they try to get a refund or replacement? This is what they're doing. Ridiculous.

Bought a Ryobi lawn mower RLM 18X33H50

Bought a Ryobi lawn mower RLM 18X33H50, just out of warranty the mower stopped. £54 pounds for a circuit board, oh and they are out of stock, 6 weeks wait minimum, tried to contact customer relations,so far no response from the fat controller. Have used Dewalt and Bosch etc. Etc. For years, no probs. Do not buy Ryobi, poor product crap after sales, extortionate spares prices.

The RYOBI Power.

Hi,my reason for buying Tyobi tools is because my Mom bought a weedwacker for my Dad as a present and he loves it.He got an 18 volt ,so I asked him about it and he recommends getting the higher voltage and I did .I bought a weedwacker and also a leaf blower and they are amazing .What I love most about the how powerful they are and I don't have to use many different chargers but only one ,now how cool is that. This is way cool and I recommend if you need a powerful tool try out the RYOBI ,they are amazing.

Ryobi 18v/200cfm blower…

I purchased a Ryobi 18v/200cfm blower to assist me in cleaning the upper portion of my mower deck (cub cadet zero turn) which has lots of tight spaces that collects grass and debris. My out-building has no electricity. Therefore I rely on cordless tools. I am very pleased with this product. It performs as I'd hoped, and makes short work of its task.

Horrible customer service

Bought a lawnmower at the end of last summer. Battery, charger, and mower were included. Was able to handle my whole lawn in just one charge. Put it away for the winter, charger and battery in the house. First use this spring, took 2 charges to finish the lawn. Inconvenient, but not a huge deal. Then went to charge it, and the signal indicator says battery defective. Have been trying to contact Ryobi customer service for a replacement battery for weeks. Wait on hold, put myself in the queue for a call back. No response. Will not be purchasing Ryobi products anymore.

Ryobi: beware everything is extra

I admit to utter naivety but I may not be alone so share this with embarrassment. My wife kindly gifted me a Ryobi orbital sander ... but didnt realise & wasnt told that it needed a battery, too. So of course I went to the store and explained ... they were happy to provide the battery. Of course, when I got home, I realised that the charger is another optional extra ... so back to the store, who laughed at my folly. At last - some £100 plus and way over budget - my sander! It's rubbish. Don't bother, get a Bosch.

Warranty for DIY ONLY!

They advertise a 2 year warranty BUT NOT FOR A TRADESPERSON it reads
"The warranty period is 24 months for consumers and commences on the date the product was purchased. This date has to be documented by an invoice or other proof of purchase. The product is designed and dedicated to consumer and private use only. So there is no warranty provided in case of professional or commercial use" I bought a 5a/h battery from them, why sell them if only for DIY use?

Hedge trimmer

I bought the hedge trimmer, I thought it was a good idea so I wouldn't cut through hedges, what an actual mistake, used it once and the battery will not charge, been emailing Roybi since April to solve this problem, they wanted me to email them all the relevant information done that never heard a thing, emailed again in May same response emailed them again June, email back saying need to post all the information. All the while I have now got to go and pay someone to cut my hedge as i have no hedge trimmer. One very unhappy customer

expandit kit

Had an expandit kit (about £260) just long enough for the guarantee to run out when the crankshaft broke (bear in mind it gets 2 or 3 hours use per year). Ryobi were unsympathetic so I should have given up & chucked it, but no, I coughed up for a new motor, making the total about £360. The guarantee has just run out, & guess what-- the ignition has just quit. I should have just sat at home throwing £20 notes on the fire. Never buy Ryobi.

Call me crazy!

On 2 March 2019, I purchased a RYOBI gas trimmer (model RY253SS) from Home Depot. I enjoyed using it during the 2019 spring/summer, but in 2020 the trimmer would not start. The item was registered and still under warranty, so I turned it into the Tool Rental Center (at Home Depot) for repairs. Call me crazy, but I immediately purchased the same trimmer again! Although I had issues with the first trimmer, it is just so easy to use & the perfect size/weight for me. I am still waiting for the trimmer to be repaired, and it will cost me roughly $40....much cheaper than paying someone to mow & trim my property.
