Difficult to order on line?

I found it impossible to order on line, I forgot my password which made things more difficult as they say they will send email (never arrived even after checking spam etc) can't resend another 'lost password' request for 12 hours? I wanted to pay by pay-pal so phoned customer services who put me through to the wrong dept and so I gave up in the end and ordered from Amazon (and it was cheaper) with free p&p and arrived next day

At 75 year old and having to deal with 3 different cancer's the last thing I needed was getting my Ryobi cleaner fixed. Ringing customer service had the best service you could wish for. The Lady at C.Service named Jaz, so undstanding and helpful my warranty had a problem. but after giving her the model Number and S number. Jaz email me to say she had sorted it. The next day the new cleaner arrived. Thank you Jaz and thank you Ryobi, something you very rarely get today customer service at this standard.

Low bugdet tools!

Bought a hammertool. Was broken after using it only 7-8 times in 6 weeks.
Ryobi is gonna try to fix it? Normal compagnies tell you: Thats not good after such short time so well send a new one.

After that trying to write a 1-star review on the website: Guess what there anwser was: We wont post the review and we wont tell you why not.

What kind of service and transparncy is this. Just making them selfs look better by only posting 3 stars or higher! Feel robbed en not heard.

Ryobi tools are not for fools

I bought the ryobi 40 v, and I swear it has super powers. I believe it is more powerful than a locomotive, sucks up everything in its wake. The battery is priced seperately, but works so well that I can use the tool for long periods of time between charges. I have had many hand vacumes, but nothing beats this one

Took a weed trimmer in for repair where…

Took a weed trimmer in for repair where Ryobi customer service said. Over 8 months to get it back after calling customer service corporate. It worked for about 2 weeks. I called Ryobi again and they had me send it to them. NOW, they say they will not repair it due to a "MODIFICATION". I called again and they say there are missing screws and it's messed up. Well, that has to be from the clowns who they sent me to the first time around. Now I have a piece of trash coming back to me that is still under warranty but they will NOT honor due to their directions I followed. I have about 18 Ryobi tools but I will NEVER buy another Ryobi product again. DON'T waste your time and money with them. You are better off to buy Ridgid, DeWalt, or Milwaukee.
Sure spend a little more but have an honorable company back up their product.

Poor repair network and parts supply

My less than one year old Ryobi leaf vacuum stoped working. No service center in east end of Toronto or even Durham region. Which means a 75 minute drive accross Toronto in good traffic!! Three weeks now waiting on Parts from Ryobi. Guess this is why smart folks buy the premium brands like Milwalkee and not Ryobi. I had been told this but intill you experience it you don’t know.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.

We required a new trigger for our water blaster, seemingly an easy request.

It took days to receive a response, and when we did the preferred contact method was ignored. The 'advice' of the customer support member was 0, stating that it wasn't possible. When a suggestion for an alternative was requested, I was advised there would be no alternative.

It seems crazy that a replacement trigger gun cannot be purchased for their water blaster.

I am disgusted in the lack of customer service.

Will go to an alternate supplier in the future.

RYOBI Electric Hedge Trimmer of very poor quality and catastrophic after-sales service

My RYOBI RHT8165 RL Electric Hedge Trimmer broke down only after 11 months after purchase (the motor only worked for 3 seconds). I think this was due to their new anti-jamming system but despite my requests I have had no information from the Chinese company TTI (Techtronic Industries) which manufactures Ryobi electrical equipment, nor from the after-sales service of the store of purchase (Leroy-Merlin). So I strongly advise you against Roybi Tools (TTI).

Shocking customer services

So. It pains me to write bad review.
I ordered a battery charger and battery, with, you get a free tool all for £99. I thought great I’ll have that. My packages turned up quicker than I expected which great. Then on opening the parcels, they had sent me 2 battery and chargers. I phoned ryobi customer service and finally got through to a helpful person who put me through to a lady called Elle. She said to me can I just put you on hold for 1 minute whilst I look at your account…. 35 mins later I was still on hold. I cancelled the call and redialed. Rang the same number and someone from technical support answered. After another 30 mins of being in the phone ( on hold most of it) I was told I had to send one of the duplicate parcels back before they would send me my original purchase. Not so much as a
“Sorry for your inconvenience.we will get your parcel out to you A.S.A.P”
Instead made to feel like it was my fault they sent the wrong order.
Absolute shocking customer services.
Will not be buying from them again….

Appalling customer service and poor product

Appalling customer service. I bought a patio weed cleaner and a part of it became damaged after 1/2 hour light use. For 5 days I have gone backwards and forwards to customer service asking me for all kinds of information. It feels like they just want to make things as difficult as possible to put you off bothering with them. This tool cost me £120 and it is unacceptable that this company is so dismissive when it comes to caring for customers. To compare I had an issue with a Panasonic Breakmaker and this was resolved with 1 email. Poor customer service is a sign of a failing company.

Ryobi - dodgy and in decline

As someone who has had dozens of Ryobi tools over the years and spent thousands of £'s with them, I have experienced a massive decline in the quality of their tools to the point where I will not buy any more.

Earlier this year I tried to make a claim on warranty for a 36v battery charger that had barely been used a handful of times.

I've tried for months to get them to resolve this and honour the warranty. They want no responsibility though - their contact centre doesn't even give you reference numbers for your contact (online or over phone), so every time you speak to them it's starting again.

I've wasted so many hours trying to get them to do the right thing. Shameful treatment of customers from a terrible brand.

I now need to decide whether I have the energy to raise a complaint through Trading Standards, as they are certainly breaching the terms of their warranty.

Horrible customerservice

Good products for the price…until they break down. Tried contacting customer service for help finding a tiny little part, no answer. Made an account to ask my wuestion on their own homepage where they promise an answer within 48 hours, 3 weeks later still no answer. Better to spend a little bit more money for a product of a reputable company!
