I bought a trimmer on 4/23/2023
I bought a trimmer on 4/23/2023. Stopped working. I think the switch is bad. Closest repair facility is about 40 miles away. Better yet its a 3 week lead time for inspection. Like pulling teeth to talk to customer service. Then they told me that I could make a claim and ship my item. (Not True) Maybe I could get a replacement where I purchased it.
(2 miles away) Will likely never buy a Ryobi product in the future!
Terrible customer service!

I also purchased a portable pressure washers and some accessories. I tried to return one of the acceries via their online return process - no reponse, so I called customer service who said they would arrange the return and refund - again nothing. I called and they confirm it would be refunded via Paypal - strange as they did not have my Paypal details - again nothing. So I called and they Sid it would be refunded to the method of payment and so far nothing.
At the same time I told them that on the second use I found it lacking in power and not to my expectations. They said they would arrange a replacement - and guess what - Nothing has happened but they said that there was an extensive backlog and because they are short of staff they had not yet got to processing a replacement - it has only been a week !.
I am now waiting for a manager to call me back to discuss this.
Not quite what you might expect from a company that is heavily promoting their products in television campaigns.
RYOBI mower and trimmer.
RYOBI mower and trimmer .
RYOBI-804345
A bit lightweight easy to manoeuvre
Okay for Very small garden,
Battery only lasts about 20 minutes pretty useless and that’s after charging all weekend.
Prior to purchasing I tried emailing with no response, I had to call to place order.
Ryobi terrible service
Just wrote a review about the terrible customer service Ryobi have, and that they have put the phone down on me twice.
Ryobi replied asking me to contact customer service.
I did and they put down on me again.
So it seems like the problem will never be resolved.
Beware of this company
APPALLING SERVICE, RECOMMEND TO AVOID
I purchased one of their portable pressure washers and found it lacking in power and not to my expectations. I decided I would like to return the item. So as per instructions on their website and on their phone line, I completed their online returns request forms, in fact I have done this 3 times now with no response at all. I have tried to contact them by phone only to be met with excessive wait times, mostly over 30 minutes. I have also submitted a complaint via their online messaging, again no response. I would strongly advise people to think twice before purchasing from RYOBI.
Bought the Ryobi lawnmower combo.
Bought the Ryobi lawnmower combo.
Not impressed. Battery life is appalling. I have a small front lawn A smallish back lawn and a side of house strip of grass. So far it has taken 5 charge ups of the battery to complete! Cant cope with 2-3 inch grass conks out and depletes the battery even quicker. Now I will virtually have to trim the grass every week or so to avoid the above. Grass waste clippings basket even when empty leaves clumps of mown grass on the lawn which defeats the object of the exercise. Cheap but not Cheerful.
Useless
Useless, I'm going to buy a Dewalt. Emailed over a month ago to ask if there is anything they can do about a broken battery. I was given a drill for Christmas and don't have a receipt.
Was told there's nothing they can do. Maby make products that last longer.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, ages to get through then when finally speaking to a customer services advisor cut off time and time again. Disgrace
Close but no cigar
Bought the Lawnmower strimmer combo making tools number 7&8 in my Ryobi collection. Mower was fiddly to assemble with the handle securing screws difficult to align. I have a medium size lawn but was disappointed as the 5amp battery only managed half the lawn. Ended up using a 2amp battery to finish. Not had to use customer services yet and hope I don’t have to from what I read! Makes me wonder about adding to my collection of Ryobi gear🤔
Useless Warranty
Purchased a Ryobi lawnmower. Pin snapped on the handle. Tried to make claim for replacement, found that I had to take mower to service center some twenty miles away. Never again will i purchase a Ryobi.
I tried to buy an item from RYOBI from…
I tried to buy an item from RYOBI from their advertisement in the national press. There was only a short time to go so I made numerous phone calls. The operator I spoke to kept saying that she would get someone to phone me back. It got so farcical that the person who rang me back said he would have to ring me back! Obviously time ran out on the sale and I couldn't make a purchase.
I've sent numerous emails to RYOBI and they haven't replied. I'm 74yrs old and this is without doubt the worst company that I've dealt with. Just appalling.
Shipping from EU shop is snail slow
Shipping from EU shop is as slow as a snail. 🐌 In Spain is with REDUR known for super slow deliveries and heavy freight. Totally inadequate for smaller or mid-size items. If you can find the item at Amazon or online shop using regular couriers, it is better to purchase there. Faster deliveries and easy returns.
Fit for purpose, but know that purpose
Have several of these Ryobi tools and generally they are fit for purpose. That purpose being DIY or irregular use.
Nail gun is Excellent as is the Stapler,.
The Garden tools, Hedge trimmer and small strimmer work well .
For much used tools like Power Drills and
Angle Grinders I use other more expensive makes such as De Walt or Bosch.
It is good to have the Ryobi tools as the One system allows inexpensive acquisition and shared batteries.
Do not expect professional quality for Ryobi prices, but generally I am very pleased with mine
Ryobi 40V Electric Lawnmower Broke Down
We originally purchased a Ryobi 40V lawnmower in 2021. It worked acceptably for awhile, but the handle of the lawnmower started to fall off and ultimately it would not start at all. Returned it to the local Home Depot where it was purchased and after waiting about three months, they provided us with a new 40V lawnmower, although a different mower than previously. This mower worked for about a year, had intermittent problems with starting and ultimately failed to start at all (batteries are fully charged and work with other products). Attempted to bring it in to Home Depot and they indicate that they no longer provided service and we would have to take it to an authorized service center. Unfortunately, these centers are in Portland, OR, about 219 miles away or in Victoria, BC, closer but requiring an expensive ferry ride (about $300 for two round trip ferry rides with the car) to get to. Tried to call customer service, but was placed on hold for over an hour and haven't been able to make contact.
The lawnmower should last more than a year and the customer service from Ryobi and Home Depot has been terrible. Will stay away from Ryobi products in the future and will avoid Home Depot when we can.
Made a warranty claim
Made a warranty claim and after 3 weeks no reply so sent an email and after another 11 days still no reply so sent another email another 9 days still no reply! So phoned to see what was going on but told I would have to submit original claim again with no explanation as to why nobody had dealt with my emails despite I had acknowledgement of them. Absolutely dreadful customer service ,never again will I purchase Ryobi. I will update when sorted out.
No more Ryobi for me
I have had many Ryobi tools; I have purchased the 2000psi power washers from Home Depot and also purchased the extended warranty.
I will tell you right now do not get the extended warranty!! Ryobi just makes the money and your equipment does not get repaired. The hardware store they sent me to has had my power washer for a month and a half and Ryobi is Zero help ! As a matter of fuct the prolong the nightmare. The simpleton that answered for Ryobi wanted an update from the hardware store but I reminded her I just spoke with them and I gave her their update- she insisted on calling so I asked will you call me back and she responded why?
So now you understand the quality of help they provide.
I am done with Ryobi and I give them a year before chain stores replace them due to poor product and service. Ryobi is 💩all around!
Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service!! Nobody knows what they are doing.

Tried to purchase online and it kept saying cannot use this card please try another. I tried 4 different payment methods and all came back with the same message.
I called online sales to explain the problem and they advised me that I live in a restricted postcode area and couldn’t deliver.
I live in Glasgow, surely this comes under UK mainland as that is what they advertise on their website for free delivery.
I don’t know any other online sales who refuse to deliver to Glasgow, SHOCKING 😡
Ryobi won't deliver to all of mainland…
Ryobi won't deliver to all of mainland Britain, they blame their courier but the courier delivers to me from other suppliers.
The fault is down to Ryobi and the inadequate contract they have agreed which descriminates against those of us live at the edges of the country.
Get your act together Ryobi and be honourable to all your customers!
Over 1 week and still no resolution
I bought my brother a double pack of batteries for his birthday, they arrived loosely packed in a box so as you can imagine the batteries and their packaging were damaged and looked like they were secondhand, it’s been over a week and past my brother birthday and no resolution put in place. Customer service is very slow. the process of return and replacement should be allot better.
