ryobi patio cleaner
Recieved my ryobi patio cleaner in good time, works really well but I managed 3 sq m of cleaning till the battery ran out, took a long time to charge and share batteries aren't cheap, very disappointing.
Purchased Ryobi extendable hedge…
Purchased Ryobi extendable hedge trimmer based upon recent TV ad which looked a great idea and easy to use especially as I have lots of hedges surrounding my property and it usually costs me around £500 pa to get them trimmed. Product arrived looked good and was simple to put together and as I already had a drill/driver of theirs liked the concept of the ONE battery idea. However having actually used the product it’s very disappointing! Cutters are not that powerful but worse the machine is just not very well balanced.
Especially with the extended pole attachment fitted after approx 10/15 mins it feels like you are deep sea fishing fighting a mako shark on the line but without the benefit of being strapped into a bolted chair! The harness is next to useless and in a very short space of time both your back and arms are aching like mad and I consider myself reasonably fit! From memory I seem to remember seeing a woman using this product on their TV ad but frankly unless you are Fatima Whitbread forget it! Great idea but just totally impractical and genuinely surprised how many great reviews this product gets, have they actually used it I wonder?
In any event looks like I’ll be keeping the gardener in business for a bit longer as this product is just not up to the job which is a real shame!
WORST
WORST, UNRESPONSIVE, NON EXISTENT HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I have a Ryobi cordless stick vacuum cleaner still under warranty. A major part broke and I cannot get any response at all from customer service after a week of emails, phone calls, etc. I'll NEVER buy or recommend Ryobi products ever again. DO NOT buy anything from these folks.
Ryobi . Fails to deliver .
The company sells products and with maximum TV publicity boasts a 3 year guarantee. Once they have payment make it as difficult as possible to register the guarantee . I have never come across a guarantee process so difficult and impossible to complete. It must be designed to be as difficult as possible so people give up. I did.
I bought a tyre pump a charger and a battery .All three have to be registered separately. You have to set up an account with process ,passwords , questions when I was born etc etc . Yesterday after over two hours I failed and gave up . I wrote to them . They then revealed it doesn’t work on an iPhone . Helpful to let us know first?
So they referred me to a laptop. Another two hours lost . You have to go through an eight stage process which I gave up as struggled to complete their unclear questions about a product they sold me days ago. If they are selling direct, why don’t they register the guarantee with the purchaser at the same time? They absolutely know I just bought direct from them , why do I have to provide proof of purchase ,attach photos and spend ages finding the right plate design telling them the item , finding the model number and serial numbers to tell them . They could automate the whole process .They clearly don’t want to deliver a 3 year guarantee if they can avoid it. They know the date I bought it last week they know the product , my name and address and they should record their own stock number when they accept payment .They absolutely must know they are making it as difficult as possible. Score out of 10 : zero
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Not helpful at all and had no interest in trying to find a solution for our broken lawn mower. I am in the process of buying many different tools and they have lost my business for life and quite honestly they don't seem to care. I am dedicated to never buying another one of their products and I recommend that you don't either.
Very Poor Customer Service
I purchased a Ryobi Lawn Mower on 9/29/2020, that comes with a 5 year warranty. The mower worked pretty well until 6/12/2023, when the self-propelled function quit working. On June 14, 2023, I dove 30 miles to the closest approved Ryobi warranty repair center and was told it would take 5-6 weeks for the repair. It's now going on 9 weeks and the only response you get from Ryobi is they're very busy.
On 8/10/2023 (8 weeks later) I called the repair shop and they say it's not their fault, because they ordered the parts and are still waiting. I was told it could be another 2 to 4 weeks before I get my mower back, if then. My recommendation is "don't buy" a Ryobi mower or tool for that matter, if are expecting competent Customer Service when you need a warranty repair.
Poor Customer Experience :(
Have been waiting almost a month for customer services to reply to my email, which has been chased too. Really poor service, will not buy from Ryobi again.
Ryobi P2809BTL…TERRIBLE customer support
My Sweetheart gave me a Ryobi P2809BTL garden sprayer for Christmas. Last week I opened the package and filled the tank with water to test it. It won't spray anything. I called Ryobi customer support 3 times over 2 days. The first time I hung up after 15 minutes. The second 2 times I left it on speaker for over an hour. I tried the live chat and it said the live chat people were not available (during normal business hours) and left me with a very stupid AI. I sent them an email. It has been 2 days and they have not answered. This is a brand new tool with a 3 year warranty. I have over 30 Ryobi One+ tools, and have been very pleased that they have stuck with that same battery architecture. I have recommended them to a lot of people. I will not be buying any more Ryobi stuff, and now will be recommending people NOT buy their products. I am also going to file a complaint with Home Depot, the largest seller of their products
Defective string trimmer and terrible customer service
Defective string trimmer that everyone seems to have an issue with. Their customer service takes WEEKS to respond to each email. I've been waiting for a resolution for almost 7 weeks.
Don't waste your time
If you have nothing better to do today, try to reach Ryobi customer service. So far, I'm 36 minutes in...still listening to music and recorded apologies.
Ryobi - Annoyingly frustrating warrantry…
Annoyingly frustrating warrantry registration. Forced to register a charger as a separate item - Why? Emailed Ryobi, they (un) helpfully provided a link to registering an item for its extended warrantry, but again forced to add the charger. Warrantry side is absolutely awful - presumably to deter a lot of people from going for it. Awful. Awful Awful.
Well I had a Ryobi router and a nail…
Well I had a Ryobi router and a nail gun. They are both actually very good.
I then bought a Ryobi water pump - but they sent me a fan. I've given up trying to contact them to get them to send me the right thing.
I did actually get connected to a human quite quickly (well 10 mins) - who told me she could only sell me new stuff not sort out problems with previously sold stuff.
I have now given up after several cummulative hours on hold.
I've also sent several emails with no reply.
The ironic things is the 2 tools I have had have been great - but how can I reliably buy something else or recommend them to people knowing I cannot get in touch with them?
As my experience evidences, they do obviously have some "customer service telephone people" but make a corporate decision to use them to sell more stuff to new customers rather than deal with their existing customers.
Clearly the Ryobi UK Exec Team is targeted and bonused by their global leaders on sales and growth not on customer service and I am sure I would do the same in their position.
If I had no personal values.
Warranty registration
Had a problem with very complex registration of warranty. Resolved by helpful staff
1plus 33cm lawnmower
I have just bought the 33cm lawn mower and Strimmer package. I only have a small lawn and it was quick and easy to use. Very light and gives a nice cut. The 4ah battery supplied was just enough so could use a bigger battery. An excellent addition to my Ryobi collection!
I have a P2803BTL 18+ 2-gallon garden…
I have a P2803BTL 18+ 2-gallon garden sprayer. It is 1 year old with a 3-year warranty and has stopped spraying. The closest authorized repair center is a 4-hour drive, one way. I had round-up in the sprayer when it stopped working. Obviously, I rinsed out the container, but the pump will still have roundup in it. Because the chemical is not secured in a leakproof bottle, I can not mail or ship it - hazardous chemical. I have contacted Ryobi several times. They have no solution for this issue and are just ignoring me. All they say is that I have to take it to an authorized service center. Expecting me to drive 8 hours round trip to deliver it to a service center since I can not mail or ship it. It'll cost me $90 to buy a replacement. They refuse to replace it. I am pretty angry about this, and my yard is full of weeds that are dangerous for my dog.
first contact with support 2/13/2023 second 4/10/2023 I have purchased several Ryobi tools over the years and regret ever becoming involved with this company.
Took my money but not delivering! Still nothing one week later.
Took my money but not delivering! Still nothing one week later. Customer services keep promising that it will be delivered but I haven't even received a confirmation.
Will not honor warrantys on batteries- batteries faulty not lasting 3 years.
I believe Ryobi has great tools and the concept of interchangeable battery very efficient but the problem is when you try to replace the batteries that are still under warranty especially speaking of the larger mower batteries. I bought a mower, the battery didn't last a year, Ryobi sent a replacement now that one has burned up, smelled burnt and they tell me I need a receipt for the battery and they have no record of sending me it. So I have a mower that will cost me a battery to use it and I had 2 batteries that didn't last 3 years. Ive done some research and find that this is their common practice and that the batteries are not lasting long. So they wouldn't replace mine because I dont have a receipt and I wouldn't have a receipt and I had to explain it not only on chat, text and on phone more than twice to get them to understand this 2nd faulty battery came from them in regards to the first faulty battery.
So Ryobi, I have many of your tools but this has really changed my mind about you.
Why is your website so difficult to…
Why is your website so difficult to navigate and use to register a new product - all you are interested in is getting my contact info so you can sign me up - again my experience is ending up in frustration and winding me up - like your products but so unhelpful and still my product is not registered due to website page changing and continued input
Disappointing
Placed an order for 4 items. 3 delivered fine, 1 disappeared into the ether. Couldn't get DPD tracking up for this item, couldn't reach DPD to track and Ryobi Customer Service were not interested. They eventually sent the missing item and it has now been received but I spent hours over multiple days trying to get help from their Customer Service team to sort this out. Won't use them again because it isn't worth the hassle. Such a shame because the products are great.
