Purchased an LG OLED TV from Richer Sounds in Leicester , contacted the shop by telephone and spoke with Paul who was very well informed and helpful about the particular product . Delivery was very quick and efficient , highly recommend Richer Sounds .
Having spent my life in retail, in a customer care driven businesses, I really appreciate the ethos and service that is given by Richer Sounds. My first boss said to me, “Without customers, we don’t have a business. Always put the customer first”.
In Richer Sounds case it remains the case, as I always feel valued. Over many years I have bought TVs and home entertainment equipment from them, both in store and online. In recent years, I have been dealing with the Cheswick Store and in particular with Jim the store manager. Although I usually purchase top end Sony equipment and have a good idea what I prefer, I do have questions and Jim has the answers. He knows his product and works through the conversation, with quick results. I cannot praise the service more and I not only recommend the Cheswick Store to family and friends, but guide them specifically to Jim. I have also had service from Tim and Simon, who are also helpful
I only leave reviews for exceptional service, but in this instant I give strong recommendations to friends to shop at Cheswick and to ask for Jim as well. This is the only retail outlet I recommend, not because the rest are bad, but if you recommend something, you need to be confident that, that recommendation won’t disappoint.
As a business I have found Richer Sounds to be reliable, with deliveries going smoothly and promptly. Prices are usually keen, and if not, they do price match. Another plus point is the 6 year warranty on most TVs which is really useful, as it is free and high end TVs are costly to fix.
It may appear that I am on commission when it comes to writing such a positive review, but it isn’t that. I just appreciate great, efficient service and good value, the elements that so many other businesses have forgotten. In my own work, there was a sales training session run by Intersport Europe. The trainer opened with a really good statement. He said, “Products can be purchased anywhere, but it is the people and services, that brings customers back”. I totally believe that, and Jim and Richer Sounds demonstrate it.
Thank you 10/10
Having people who know about the technical jargon and can explain it well.
Very quick delivery, good guarantee terms and the pleasure of dealing with an ethically run business.
Ordered a CA AMP from their Manchester shop. They sorted a demo out with streamer, Dali speakers and amp. Fantastic service. Straightforward sales. Delivery door on. And the kit in the house sounds great. Next month I’ll by the CA streamer. Cheers, Rick.
From the point of sale to the delivery I was informed of the company’s procedures and found this information helpful and no pressure was put on me to by one product or another sales person was extremely knowledgeable and helpful five stars to this store and thank you
Very quick service and clear and concise information regarding my new buy.
Delivery quicker than expected.
Found the advertised item online and e-mailed the store, got an instant reply and the rest of the process was a breeze.
They had the equipment set up for the next day, to go and listen to it before purchase, which was superb and they had it in stock to purchase immediately. I could have sourced it from elsewhere ( Amazon etc ) at the same price , but not get anywhere near the same level of service, so well done Olli and the team ..... If only other businesses offered the same level of service, the world would be a better and less stressful place.
This company is the benchmark others should aspire to.
Genuinely well done guys !
i bought a denon x2800h which was fine for a year but then developed a fault where it would keep cutting out, it eventually blew up and was sent for repair 3 times, i was told that im trying to push the reciever to hard so i need to upgrade to x3800h and that will solve my problem, this also cost me an extra £400 so i did, i had the x3800h for 5 weeks and under load the brand new reciever blew up again with volume on dial at 75, i have 7 old kef q series speakers that are only 100w each and floors are 150w and 8 ohms but ive recently found out they can dip to 4 ohms when watching action type movie where there are explosions etc, it then took over 4 weeks to repair reciever, which i got back yesterday, the truth of the matter these cheap denon reciever made in vietnam with low quality components as the factory burnt down so they outsourced crap components are absolute rubbish and cant even handle volume at 75% with 100w speakers and last night nearly blew up again, i had a massive wiff of solder burn coming from reciever but managed to turn off before it blew up again, the only solution is to spend another £700 on an external amp to ofload what these low quality recievers cant handle which i was not told when i paid for new x3800h, if you like listening to audio at granny volume your be fine but if like me you like it sounding good, dont go near these as they are terrible, i have no doubt that it will blow again if i pushed it to 75%, all along rs was trying to say my speakers are somehow short circiting but ive listened to them all day with volume at 65 and had no problems, my panasonic 77 z95b has louder speakers built in tv and when i pair with my 2 subs it absolutley puts the denon to shame, if i put tv at 75 its easily 50% louder than reciever and doesnt even come close to blowing up, what a waste off £950 and now another £700 to put it right, i dont think il bother.
Very good shop with lots of outstanding products. The staff were more than helpful I the Holborn branch. I just bought a pair of ear pods but I am extremely satisfied with the value for money I experienced from the buy
Always happy with the service and warranty provided by Richer Sounds so it was an obvious choice when purchasing the Ruark R1S. Collect from store was easy and convenient. As a replacement for a Bose Wave this little powerhouse is amazing. Great sound, intuitive and looks good too. Really wanted to still have a radio with presets but the ability to stream as well. Highly recommend.
Brilliant and very helpful service. Very good communication via email.
The staff were helpful in discussing different TV models and confirmed our own research into what type to buy. They provided helpful information about TV and satellite dish installers. The TV we ordered was delivered very quickly, within two days.
Very pleased with turntable, sound through speakers is great. Can now play all my old records
Tim was very patient and knowledgeable and gave me great guidance. I upgraded the amp I bought from them 8 years ago and it arrived as promised and works very well.
I visited the Richer Sounds store in Plymouth for advice on TV's. The guy in the store was really helpful but was not at all pushy about getting a sale. A week or so later I bought the item on line from Richer Sounds and as was claimed it was the best price available.
No actual problem with staff at Leeds store, just the time it took for the system and speaker stands to arrive. Also the Cambridge Audio Amp CXA81 MK2 was faulty. No sound from B speakers.
The guy who came to set it up Jeff had no clue with Apple iPhone to connect to Cambridge Audio CXN100.
He wanted the full £80 but left with it not working properly and said I should go to Apple Store to find out why, because it is a known problem with Cambridge Audio connectivity.
He also said he would be in touch with the store to get me a replacement amplifier. This took about 2wks, then when he said he was coming, he didn’t twice.
There seemed to be bad communication between him and store and after me spending nearly £3000 it was very disappointing.
It was almost a month before I began to enjoy my system which I am very pleased with eventually.
Prompt receipt, excellent goods & great price! Thanks. Highly recommended!!
