I paid far less for far more coverage than I found with other companies. Francisco was professional and accommodating and answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly.

no one tells you that only 24 hours are allowed to report problems. We were stuck in London and had to buy another ticket as A Airlines don’t reschedule people that buy w points. We got back to work and took me days to call to file a claim. I was told NO coverage. only have 24 hours to report. CAREFUL. I would not buy from them again. My family and I travel extensively. And many countries these days req health ins. Don’t buy here

i am visiting Ontario Canada for 73 days. Requested this mormning asistance for a serious blood pressure drop. Got a video consult. with doctor in Montreal He rcommended I visit an emergencia clinic or Hospital asap. After more than 5 hour I am still waiting for instruction and authorization from Protegetuviaje. They argue that they have not yet received the doctors report which is their responsability. Very dissapointing dissapointing

It’s a SCAM. Stay away from them. They will probably reply, just like they do for all negative reviews, claiming they don’t know if I’m a “customer” or pretending they care. During a trip to the Dominican Republic, I was hospitalized for an infection contracted there and food poisoning. They refused to pay for even the pills. Stay away — they’ll steal your money and never pay if anything happens.
And no, protegetuviaje.com, I don’t want you to “look” into my case again. You’ve already done it six times, I’ve spent countless hours with you, and you still don’t pay. Scammers.

My mother had a fracture while traveling to UK. She was offered surgery in UK through NHS but it was not authorized due to the type of Billing they provide afterwards (not being itemized ), it would've been impossible to get a refund. My almost 80 year old mom was sent back home , they did provide the flights, but was booked in a full cabin with no taking into account her mobility issues, pain and limitations. Ideally surgery would have been done here while I could take care of her recovery. This complaint is mostly to make people AWARE that they offer treatments in UK, and that this might be not refunded because of how NHS works here. They shouldn't offer it!

I recommend not to book your travel insurance with this Company. Their policy is not crystal clear and create confusions. They are not transparent when you are going through a medical process. My family had a bad experience when my ex partner had an in-flight medical emergency travelling from Istanbul to Sydney. He was disembarked in Kuala Lumpur and underwent surgery of the lower lip. Suffered lacerations and concussions in the forehead and cheeks. He was never reimbursed for the KL emergency costs because they believed it is not covered according to their policy. I have no idea what they call medical emergency. We communicated with them and they covered the first evaluation appointment in Australia for a price of 84 usd. We claimed them to look again into the case and were told the same thing over an over. We rejected the 84 usd. This is an example of bad policy statements that creates confusion and a saying "Never trust cheap insurance". We felt unprotected all the time. Think twice before hiring them. I wrote a good review before because they were quick replying and it looked promising. Things changed dramatically when a medical emergency occurred for sure.

Awarding a 1 because 0 is not an option… they refuse to cover my mom’s medical bills even though she’s reported them on time and in writing! They will make up any excuse not to provide assistance. AN ABSOLUTE FRAUD!
