I wrote a review detailing my horrible experience with PLM a few weeks ago. This platform was the only time I have ever heard from them when they responded to my review. They attempted to discredit me and I see them do that to others as well. In my attempt to leave an honest review of my unfortunate experience respectfully, they responded with lies and continue to misrepresent resulting in more innocent people being taken advantage of. They have disrespected your business code of ethics and broken several of your rules (paying people for positive reviews) and more. They owe me $5,000 and countless others more. I have also personally been in contact with the BBB and wish to share their investigation of PLM in hopes that people read this while doing their due diligence and not fall victim as I have and many others. Trustpilot is a trusted place where many people go to gather honest information in order to make an informed decision. PLM has taken advantage of that too. Please see the update of the PLM page with the BBB and be warned.
PLM has been SUSPENDED by the BBB
copied and pasted directly from the BBB site on 7/28/2023 at 3:46 pm:
CURRENT ALERTS FOR THIS BUSINESS
Accreditation Suspension:
On 07/28/2023 this business's accreditation in the BBB was suspended. The matter will be reviewed by the BBB's Board of Directors at its next meeting.
Advertising Review:
In June 2023, BBB received a spike in consumer allegations regarding a range of advertising and marketplace practice concerns.
Consumer allegations include:
Aggressive communications sent to students who leave negative reviews or communicate concerns to fellow students.
Misleading description of the company's "Boardroom" program, which was advertised as being capped at ten students with four instructors and the company's founder. Participants allege this was not honored in the actual experience.
Students being banned from accessing their "lifetime" benefits of the program with no clear explanation as to why this occurred.
Failure to sufficiently disclose extra charges associated with full participation in the six-month program.
Alterations to the business' advertised guarantee. The business originally advertised a "money-back guarantee" but appears to no longer honor refund requests.
Enrollment in loans without fully understanding they were entering into a financial agreement.
Evidence the business solicited positive reviews from students in exchange for $250 gift cards (Consumers should be aware that it is a violation of BBB's Customer Review submission terms for a person to receive compensation in exchange for a review).
BBB contacted the business on July 26, 2023, to request a response addressing the allegations and documentation presented. The business responded on July 27, 2023, but failed to acknowledge most of the outlined concerns. The business stated, "We are working to investigate some of these reviews. We will take it from here and appreciate the email." At this time, the business has failed to substantiate, modify, or discontinue advertising concerns brought to its attention.
According to the Basic Principles of the BBB Code of Advertising:
1.1 The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.
1.2 Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.
1.3 An advertisement as a whole may be misleading by implication, although every sentence separately considered may be literally true.
1.4 Misrepresentation may result not only from direct statements, but by omitting or obscuring a material fact.
Section 30 of the BBB Code of Advertising states, "30.1 In general, advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely to mislead or confuse if: 30.1.13 Advertisers compensate consumers for leaving feedback on third-party online blogs or websites but fail to ensure that consumers disclose such facts on those blogs or websites."
Section 34 of the BBB Code of Advertising also states, "Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data."

My experience since I joined the program in June I was totally green about amazon business. But the team helped me with product research, Now I'm on step 5. I do understand the amazon business. I want to thank the team for the effort they put in to make people like me to be successful

To Whom it May Concern,
Private label mastery does not perform the duties that they advertise on their website. They promise you 1-on-1 coaching, detailing all of the "hands on" coaching that you will receive as a PLM student.
With a price tag of $10,000, I received very little in return from my coach. My coach would not respond to her emails for weeks at a time. When my coach finally did get around to reviewing my work, she provided all of about 5 minutes of rambling about my products, offering no useful information.
The strategies that they tell you to use on alibaba, are not useful. They encourage you to waste your money on extra shipping costs. They encourage you to pour your money into your Amazon business, and they do not advise you of all of the fees amazon charges. They "green-lighted" a product of mine that was way too heavy for its price point and selling point. For a product that cost me $13 each, charged $5 in amazon fees, could only make sales of $10-$15 on Amazon's website. This is not even considering the cost of the pay-per-clicks needed for the ads, the fiverr freelancers you may need, etc.
My coach encouraged me to purchase these items telling me that it was a great choice. Any experienced Amazon seller or suitable coach would have warned me of the shipping costs and potential selling cost of these bowls.
PLM encourages their "students" to spend on their course, spend on their Amazon products, knowing that their "students" will never succeed. They are selling a dream that cannot be achieved. They are selling a lot of nonsense, with no substance or groundwork to actual achieve any of the goals they claim we will all achieve.
PLM lied to me.
I bought the program for PLM Private Label Mastery about 4 months ago and I couldn’t be more happier. Program is so easy and informative I can’t believe how much I learned. Coaches are very nice helpful, will go out of their way to help you and answer all your questions. They will make make sure that you understood everything before finishing up the coaching call with you. Will definitely recommend and I’m very very happ. Thank you PLM and Ashley Kinkead.

DO NOT buy this program, the money-back guarantee is a hoax to convince you to risk your money. PLM has no intention to offer you any refund, and the milestones to qualify for a refund with change repeatedly after you sign your contract. This program costs $8-$10,000 dependent on when you signed on. When I told the salesman I could not afford the program they push to finance it, and after not qualifying for the initial loan, the salesman began running my credit ALL OVER to find a loan provider as soon as possible without asking me for permission. My coach was changed mid-way through the program, and no notice was given. All coaching was one-sided, I had to initiate every contact, and every interaction I did have with my coach was lackluster. It was evident I was one of hundreds of students and whether I succeeded or not did not matter to them. Supplier sourcing recommendations have changed dramatically. I got "stuck" in the sourcing phase of the program, finding Chinese suppliers difficult to work with. It was not until January when PLM suggested & encouraged the use of a sourcing agent with true support. They themselves admitted that they did not think to recommend students to use sourcing agents until my trial was nearly over. PLMastery program has changed significantly in the past 6 months. The number of classes and Q&A's has increased dramatically, inflating the number of metrics a student must hit within a 6-mo period to launch a product and a potential refund. Finally, after finishing my 6-mo period and hitting every quota that I agreed to before my course end date, I want unable to launch a product. I submitted a formal request to Garret Johns which was ignored for weeks. Eventually, when I got a reply, he simply said I made good point but due to how I financed the course I am no eligible for a refund. THIS WAS NEVER STATED IN THE CONTRACT OR BY THE PERSON WHO RAN MY CREDIT. PLM CHOSE who I financed for, and know it voided my contract without any communication of this. This is immoral business, and since I tried contacting them, I have been ghosted by the organization. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID.
Yet again, another informative call with my coach. I am really excited about this journey and so happy to be learning from such a great group of ppl.

If you’re here reading reviews, the PLM advertisement you’ve likely seen shows the following:
- Huge product sales #’s
- A CEO boasting 6-7 figure sales
- A phrase such as “in a couple hours a day”
- An enticing offer that sounds too easy to be true
Then you click on the button and schedule an enrollment/breakthrough call.
- An individual gets on a call with you and explains the course broken down into a few steps (which it’s actually 6 months of steps involved) but intentionally leaving out detail (and yes it’s intentional - as a business you can’t bare to share the good and the bad otherwise people wouldn’t sign up; and as a customer, if we don’t know what to ask, how could we even ask it? But y’all skip it because intentional transparency kills registration numbers, and concealing information makes more money which is the root of evil)
- The individual lists off the *initial* costs involved and fails to mention that those are recurring costs and that the research software is required for the course (the company will tell you “it’s ultimately up to you” but that is absolutely false. I’m telling you, you cannot complete the content without it. There are SO MANY modules that start by having you log into Helium 10 or use the chrome extension. You have to have it.)
- This individual tells you how much the program is and quickly (yes quickly) rushes in with the cost which should have been mentioned up front in my opinion.
- The individual tells you not to worry if you can’t pay, sends you a link to click that redirects you to a website that happens to be a line of credit. The individual does not discuss contractual detail for anything and tells you to follow some steps to secure payment to them. Still, not discussing a PLM contract or credit contract that you are about to sign. ALL WHILE BEING WATCHED. Anxious right? How about “go ahead and look this over thoroughly and we can reconvene in a few minutes” but no, you don’t want to encourage that because you could lose a potential registrant, a potential $9,000 loss!
- The process is completed and it’s now too late to recognize that you are financially bound to a program that will go on to require you to bleed money for a long time
About the course:
- The course includes tons of videos
- The Q&A section is helpful
- The coaches are wonderful and try to help you as best as they can with what they know and can see but it’s limited
- Program has a platform where positivity is stressed in the rules section (we don’t want to make people start to think they’ve fallen into a pit, so gotta keep them looking forward)
- There are weekly mindset calls by a mindset coach - take it as you will
READ THIS >>
- You have to pay out a lot of money before you even start making money (buying the course, buying product, spending money on advertising etc.)
- This program takes 10+ hours of commitment a week
- You will not wake up and make money in large quantities overnight when you launch a product
My experience and opinion:
- This course is NOT worth even close to $9k
- They assigned me to a coaching team and there were multiple times when the coaches couldn’t schedule me earlier than 3-4 weeks out
- I had serious antepartum mental health issues and reached several times to cancel the program or find a solution moving forward right after signing up and no one responded to me still to this day which felt like purposeful avoidance (and PLM won’t acknowledge this) which feels invalidating and doesn’t match their claim that they love to support students
I am all for people who desire to teach a skill and want to charge for their knowledge but i want to make it clear that I do not agree with the PLM business practices and they need to be shut down as a business.
PLM is like a a manipulative partner in a dangerous relationship. If you love on them, they’ll love you back. If you have negative feedback they’ll make you feel like you are the problem. They’ll overpromise then under-deliver. This isn’t just my experience. Steer clear of PLM.
Looking to sell Private Label. Then you can stop your search now. I have only been with PLM for 3 weeks and have already learned so much. My coach Cabel is amazing and really knows what he is doing. The program is easy to follow and you always have access to help either from coaches or other students. You get one on one calls along with daily live classes that you can attend. Happy I have found PLM.

Please be aware that joining this group will put you deep into debt or cost a huge amount of your money. 1. False promises were made to me during a high pressure call with a PLM salesperson On July 21, 2022. a. It was promised that I will be making 5k to 10k per month in a six month timeframe. b. Promised that all of this success would be easily attained while working only ten to fifteen hours a week. c. Promised that I would have access to a personal coach who would guide me in choosing winning products to sell and offer support throughout the process. 2. The salesperson pressured me into financing over the phone during our first call. I was told that the program costs 12,000 dollars, but I could get a discount and pay 7,000 dollars if I sign up immediately. I signed online loan and contract documents while on the phone with the salesperson. Not one word was spoken to me about the cost of doing the Amazon business. You must invest many thousands of dollars just to become a business, launch the Amazon store and launch test products. Statements made by the salesperson: “ Don’t you want to pay off that house next year?” “With all of the money flowing in, you can buy that travel van and tour the country while working just a few hours a week! Imagine all you can do with your grandchildren!” What actually happened to me after joining PLM. 1. I had to secure loans for all of the various costs and expenses. 2. I followed the program to the letter, worked up to 14 hours a day, month after month, but realized in six months that the success story sold to me by PLM is false, even if you launch products approved by your coach. 3. By December of 2022, I had to put my home in a forebearance plan and leave retirement to work full time in order to catch up and make ends meet. I am still struggling and working full time. 4. The coach that was assigned to me spent minimum time assisting or answering questions. No direct direct access to a coach exists. You have to use a Zendesk ticketing system that rarely gets you a response.
This experience has been a huge leap for me. I have learned every step of the way. The coaches are always readily available, even if your coach call is a ways out, another coach will reach out to help too. I am confident in the process and in my own ability to succeed. I did have some hills to climb along the way, but it has been wonderful to learn this new skill to provide myself and family freedom

I have enjoyed the Private Label Mastery Program. It has taught me a great deal. There is a lot of support from the coaches, and they are very knowledgeable. I have just completed my 6-month program and I will most likely extend. There is still a lot to learn. I am really grateful I found Private Label Mastery. They are an amazing group.

DON'T DO IT! Here is my story; I would say that my decision to accept a loan and join this program was on the information provided to me at the time of enrollment. I saw Ashley on social media talking about this program and I signed up to get information about it. I meet with Coach Arnisha Shala from PLMastery at the time I have been enrolled and she convinced me to join this program by telling me that I will be making 5k-10k per month which I didn't even make until now as promised LIES LIES LIES SCAM. After six months I won't have a coach but, lifetime course access. She told me that the cost of the program is 12k but if I joined it the same day I will be paid 9k due to a discount that they have on that day and she doesn't want me to lose the discount if I wait for another day to join the program. As she said, "Don't worry you will able to pay the loan in 3 months and money back guarantee" As a mother who works fewer hours a week, I decided to join the program by taking a 9k loan. I know that all businesses have up and downsides but I should not join this program if I was aware of all expenses like Labels, Helium 10, PPC, UPC etc... I called them and explained my situation however no one cares all they need is money. if you want to keep getting help from the coach, it will cost you $499 a month if I am not mistaken. I can't pay again for coaching because I am almost 1 year without making a profit and Amazon eats my money from PPC, Amazon charges my bank. Also, customers keep returning my product which the coach approved for me to sell. Ashley and her group were not transparent about this program. Also, when students posted a negative concern about this program in the discussion session (group) they blocked or deleted them so BADDDDD. Most of the 5 Stars Reviews are paid for, students get paid so they can leave good reviews about her business. I need my money back as promised !!!!!!!!
This program sounded very appealing but unfortunately my experience had not been great at all. Buyer BEWARE of the misleading claims told during the sign-up process to join the Private Label Mastery course! All the Owner really wants is YOUR MONEY and the more she can get the better to fill her pockets! She has trained her sign-up reps to tell you that you will be making $5,000 to $10,000 a month during the six-month time frame of this course. When in reality this is NOT at all true. Nor do they tell you a true representation of the amount of money you will need to set up and run a viable Amazon FBA store. In reality you will need more like $40,000 plus to cover all the non-mentioned expressions not told during the sign-up process and more if you fall for the Owners wish fullness of selling you additional programs once you have signed up. She has her staff tell you that you can make $100,000 seller on Amazon by signing up for her Boardroom program. LIES LIES LIES! I really put in a lot of work to get an amazon business going but unfortunately couldn’t afford to keep going. I tried to reach out to my coach multiple times for help or set up a call but no response, trying to get in contact with anyone is very hard. They tell you can get a refund if it doesn’t workout but that is FALSE! Now I am even worse off than when I started $10,000 is A LOT for family just to be waisted.
The coaches are awesome. They really help me understand what I’m doing and where I’m going. I came into this understanding very little and now I get it! Coaches are also very encouraging and supportive of me through the process. I feel as though I have a team behind me and it’s not me going at this alone.

I had a breakthrough session June 28th. It claimed that I would have the session with the CEO, however I had a session with a different women. This threw me off from the start. I recorded the zoom session to go back to information when I needed to, I know this is legal because they were recording as well. I was told I could scale a product within 30-60 days of the program, and in order to scale a good product you need to invest $3000 in order to make a profit of $10k a month. I’ve learned when something seems too good to be true it is. I decided to deep dive and do some research on how a fba Amazon business works and I found a lot of information on people who have been duped, and were told it would be easy. I then looked at the negative reviews on private label mastery and I honestly feel so bad for these people who were scammed out of their money. Companies like these make their money off selling these courses, and not from the thing they are so called “teaching” in this case on making a successful Amazon business. If anyone is considering this route please do your research and read these negative reviews. The replies of this so-called CEO are so distasteful and it’s very much giving narcissistic behavior. Please don’t get duped by this company and other companies like this. Nothing in this world comes easy, and this is what these people are trying to sell. Be smart and save your money.
EDIT: It seems like PLM just flagged my review. I provided proof to Trustpilot that this review is MY experience and that I had experience with this scam of a company. I also have a recording and I am willing to release it to prove whatever I need to. Them flagging negative reviews is such a red flag and immoral. It further proves my point that this company is a scam and I am so happy I was not duped into this.
Edit 08/09/2023: love that y’all finally responded. After flagging my review twice looks like you finally came up with your phony rebuttal. My review was flagged once for not having experience with this company and then the second time for harmful or illegal contents. They don’t want people to know the truth. I shared the recording with the BBB, FTC, and the attorney general for marketing a scam. After doing my research I came to the conclusion that this is a SCAM. I feel for these people you scammed out of their hard earned money. I also heard what was said to me in the session which y’all have set to be an hour so do not make it seem like I wanted to sit there and talk for an hour. Oh and one more thing do not use your tactic of I am too dumb to understand on me.

Who would have thought that I will become an amazon entrepreneur? E-commerce/marketer is far from being a nurse. But, hey, my world decided to flip 360 degrees and there you go, I am now doing e-commerce business. PLM had been my learning foundation. I could not stress enough the importance of having a strong foundation when you are building an online business. I decided to enroll in PLM because I wanted to make sure that every single penny I spend is worth it. And I am glad I did! The founder (Ashley Kinkead) is at top of everything! You know what? She is also so generous to everyone -- she gives gift cards to chosen students who stay focus and dedicated to their work & goals. If you have "wins" or "celebrations" you'll get a chance to win bonuses. You will surely have fun while learning! But more-so, PLM has an amazing community-- you'll get to meet other students who are aspiring to become business owners too. PLM has professional coaches that will guide you all throughout your journey. The support is phenomenal. What Ashley said on that webinar you saw in social media is the actual value you get-- no drama, no add-ons, no catch, no hidden agendas. I have and will always recommend PLM to anyone who would want to start amazon FBA business. I've seen my results and I can tell you now --- as long as you trust the process, do your due diligence and stay focus on your goal nothing is impossible! PLM will be there to hep you succeed!
