Glitchy

Worked perfectly for the first 3 months until it started to freeze up. I was advised that I do a firmware update which fixed the issue. 2 weeks later it started to freeze up again and incoming calls would ring and answer with a delay. It was also very glitchy switching on and off on its own. When I advised customer service they recommended I do an update which was only available on Windows PC. I don't have a Windows PC I told them. Apparently there is no other option. So Im stuck with a glitchy unit. That is not what I paid for. Disappointed! Waste of money. I have gone back to using a cable to connect to Car Play.

This company is terrible…returns are not realistic

This company is terrible. I ordered the wireless CarPlay device. It didn’t work so I emailed the company and they wanted me to troubleshoot the product. I did, but it still didn’t work. They then wanted me to video myself troubleshooting the devices, I said no. They said if I wanted to return the device it had to be unopened and in original plastic and I had to pay shipping. The shipping was over $20 more than the device and they said I would be charged a $25 restocking fee.

Buggy and poor customer support

I was very excited when I first received my Pairr. But unfortunately, the experience has been full of bugs and generally very inconsistent in my Honda Civic 2020.

To call out a few issues: sometimes the device does not connect/pair with the car, and other times I'll stop responding/working while I'm driving - especially when I try and use Google Assistant. Also, I have an Android phone, but it shows up as Apple Carplay in the car, which is weird. There were also the volume controls we disabled a couple of times - both the car controls and on my phone.

Another thing to call out - they make it seem like returns are pretty easy if you aren't satisfied. But they aren't. You'll have to pay to ship it back - on top of a $25 restocking fee - and an insulting email from their support.

Terrible...

I bought 2 thinking I would use one in my wife's car and my own car. The order time was drastically longer than advertised, so don't think you will get one in a couple weeks. When it still had not shipped, I asked to have my money refunded but suddenly I got a tracking info and they were going to send it. Once I got it, I plugged it in to my wife's car, paired the phones and works great. Sound quality is not great when taking a phone call and music sound has degradation if you open your phone screen at any point.. I also installed one in my own car and once paired notice the screen color was distorted and seemed smeared on the screen. I reached out to the company immediately and let them know of my issue and after 20 emails back and forth over the course of 10 days (company is in China, so no immediate response), this is what I was told by an employee after asking for a refund of the one device: If you'd like to receive a refund, you need to return the device.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to return it. After the item is returned to us, we investigate it and if there is no seller's fault (the device is not faulty), we deduct a $25/per item restocking fee.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unused, with plastics in the place and in its' original packaging which should also be undamaged. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Please note that it's the customer's responsibility to cover the costs of the return and provide a tracking number to monitor the location of the package.

So, if you have an issue with the device beware, they will not honor their quality and purchase it back for a full refund at their expenses. I genuinely enjoy using it in my other car and works everytime with only minor bugs that can be lived with. I would recommend this to everyone but with the terrible customer service I have received and the lack of quality from the device, I would not be able to stand behind the recommendation like the company who will not stand behind their product.

It works!

Works as advertised! 2018 Toyota Camry XSE.
So nice to just jump in the car and go without having to plug in for Car Play. Set it and forget it!

This doesn’t work in my car.

This doesn’t work in my car.! It keeps disconnecting and so is very frustrating. I’ve ended up resorting back to a hard wire to my phone..

Doesn’t work with Sony headunit

Update: After a couple of days I was contacted and the customer service person was helpful and responsive. Unfortunately the device will not work with my Sony XAV-AX1000 head unit. CarPlay shows and works in every other way but there is no audio. Let’s see if I can easily return it for a refund.

When it does not work on your system they do not reply to emails or contact through their website. So much for 100% Satisfaction and 24/7 Support.

Pairr Review

Received my pairr quickly. Easy setup. Only annoyance is when using Spotify and changing song, sometimes there is a slight delay to perform the action. Otherwise it works as expected.

The concept is great but I have 2 major…

The concept is great but I have 2 major issues. First is that it’s takes a few seconds to connect once the car is turned on and I wish it was more of an instant connect. Secondly while I drive, a lot of the times the songs cut our periodically. You would think that none of these issues would occur due to how expensive the device is but overall not super satisfied with the product

No more cable search

The freedom to not plug in my phone every time I get into the car is fantastic! I have had some problems connecting but for the most part it’s relatively quick and consistent. My biggest complaint is that, since I live in an apartment over my garage, my phone will often try and connect to my Pair device when I’m not in the car. This has proven to be quite annoying as I can be taking and not realize this happened right away and the other person doesn’t hear me. I’ve had to physically unplug Pair in order for this not to happen. Other than that I’ve been pleased with Pair.

Perfect

I have been looking for something that does this for a couple of years now and it delivered. It installed without any problems and has been working flawlessly ever since.
I would strongly recommend this product.

When it works it works well

When it works it works well, very happy with the performance in that respect. However, it is slow to connect and loses Bluetooth pairing every 5 or 6 trips which requires me to ‘forget’ the device on my iPhone and re-pair. It’s not that big a deal but I actually just find it easier and quicker to plug my phone in each time, so I don’t use it anymore
