STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!

Meermin acts in violation with the European law. I can’t get a refund since the shoes were on sale. It is common European law that all online purchases (if they are not personalized and returned in 14 days) should get refunded. Stating an exclusion in the terms and conditions does not release one from the obligation to refund after returning.

I am preparing a case, if you are interested in joining, look me up online.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

They used to showcase great quality, now looks like they spend all their money on the website. She quality has reduced dramatically but service levels EVEN worse.

Won’t respond to emails, unless In their interest. Sent me faulty shoes and won’t do a simple return for replacement or refund.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I would not buy from this company…

I would not buy from this company again! Terrible customer service. They sold me a pair of used shoes and then told me it was my job to use wax to make them look new lol. Also the colour was wildly off from the website. Such a bad experience almost laughable.

Stay Away

Never buy made-to-order from this brand. I've purchased from Meermin before and decided to buy an MTO, figuring I knew my size.

These clownshoes are at least a full size larger than my boots. They don't even stay on my feet.

I have no recourse at all, unfortuanetly. They won't take a refund for MTO.

Custom Loafer ordered in March to be delivered in June... Writing from July

I've participated in "custom loafer" event back in March 2022 to "get ready for the warmer season"(as per their ad) with estimated delivery "June 2022".
Well, now I am couple of hours away from July 1st 2022... no news, no shoes...
Why even put a date which you can not fulfill is a puzzling question to me
One thing for sure, purchasing anything from Meermin - Never again!

Update 1st July - Meermin promised to deliver in 3 Weeks & 20 EUR voucher as an apology

Update 22 July - Still no Shoes and No Voucher, I've requested a refund just to forget ever dealing with Meermin but seems like it won't be easy to get it

Update 28 July - guess what? Another 3 weeks of waiting and refund request completely ignored. I notified them that I will try to solve this now through my bank if they are obviously not willing to cooperate, on which they replied "Perfect sir!" what a disgrace...

Dont go for any customisations…

Dont go for any customisations (MTO,MTM) ...go just for the stock option. The LAW can allow them to not accept your refund in case their quality is poor
At least if your stock shoes has an issue or doesnt fit you...you can ask for refund in 14 days BY UE LAW

Wow, the most disappointing online purchase ever

Shoes have a color that is way uglier compared to the photo but this is the least of the problems. Shipping and return cost 25 euros so you have to pay 25 euros just for trying the shoes. Sizes are terrible as well, 42 fits more like 40. The shoes do not look like 180 euros shoes, they look so cheap and low-quality, and they also feel so when you get to touch them.

very close to fraud

They do not feel obligated to stick to offers and cancel orders at will.

If you want Chinese made shoes with Indian support and a website without a proper impressum, Meermin is for you. If you want to buy quality from a honorable business, go somewhere else.

terrible after-sales service

Bought a pair of loafers but they ended up being half size bigger, because they did not offer the related cm measure confersion in size.
I asked for a exchange but of course the website did not allow me to even go further.
Then asked for a return but their system did not work. Thereafter I emailed them but they say everything works but apparently it did not.
I had to keep half size bigger shoes, guess it is not that big of a deal, but their service is damnly awful.

Do NOT buy

Do NOT buy if:

you live OUTSIDE of the EU. They violate inner market rules, and charge other inner market member countries 21% more then EU countries.

So, dont buy if youre not in an Eu country. It will be far more expensive then what the boots are worth. Dishonest and misguiding company

Also, do not buy if You appreciate good customer service. Theyre terrible with returns. They will not take any blame for any faulty peoducts. And theyre a pain in the ass to return.

Cool shoes, but...

Cool shoes, but seriously paying 10 euros to ship them and 15 euros if you want to return them is a bit ridiculous. In the end, I paid 25 euros just to try a pair of shoes on for 5 minutes.

My second pair

I bought a pair of half brogue Oxfords from their top line handwelted range. These are a work of art; the leather, construction, design and overall vibe suggest something costing perhaps three times as much. They smell magnificent! Seriously, a pair of high end handmade shoes of this quality for about £200? It’s a no-brainer. I have a pair of their winter boots inbound, and am already mulling over my next likely purchase from them. Addictive.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Sent back a pair of boots because of the size and didn’t have news from them after they received it. They don’t provide any phone number so I couldn’t reach them. After a few e-mails sent they replied they had customs delay but the items were marked as « received » (????)

The boots looked ok for the price, but I would definitely recommend avoiding Meermin

I regret so much buying the shoes...

I regret so much buying the shoes...
Last autumn I purchused Chealsea Boots for 200 EUR. They were hard but I thought they need to adapt to my feet. So I wore them. After few weeks they became better, I really liked them. Found them pretty and felt like they are better then my other shoes. But after some time a bump appeared inside the shoe and it hurts my feet. The customer service claims that it is normal for leather and ignores my explanation that it is inside the shoe and can't be shown on a photo.
So I ended up with a 200 EUR shoes which I wore for a few months only and now they hurt my feet.
I feel silly for not checking the reviews before the purchase. Next time I will either buy something cheaper and have lower expectations or buy some really good handmade shoes.

Probably the worst shoes I've purchased…

Probably the worst shoes I've purchased online. Cheaper generic brand shoes have even better quality. I had high hopes for my boots, since so many people on Reddit gave glowing reviews. Was utterly disappointed when they arrived. The workmanship was EXTREMELY shoddy. Although the leather used was nice, the way the boots were constructed was poor. The heels had different heights and the stitching of the leathee to the sole was loose! If I pulled hard enough it would rip off. I wanted to love these and was planning to purchase in another color, but good thing I held off! As the other reviews said, returning it is even harder/useless.

Exceptionally poor customer experience.

Do not purchase shoes from Meermin if you have any intention of needing to returning them.

I initiated a return on 4 April. Despite continually contacting their office, as at 6 July (over three months later) I am yet to receive a refund. I will not be purchasing from them again.
