Very disappointed.
Received first pair, initially they appeared to be fine; well made and a good fit. Subsequently placed a second order, same again - out of the box they're fine.
It's not until I've worn them a few times, both pairs are getting marked and stained by water.
Thinking it's just me, I treated them with renovateur, shoe cream and a saphir wax. No change; any water gets on them leaves a white mark.
Awaiting response to my email complaint.
Screaming value! I ordered a pair of Norwegian whole cut…
I ordered a pair of Norwegian whole cut shoes from their Linea Maestro line and checked out online with an outdated email as well as an old physical address.
Meermin was instantaneous (likely AI) in response to my dilemma and after a few back and forth emails they got it 100% right. The shoes were delivered via FedEx free of shipping super quickly and are even nicer in person than in the photos. Their AI generated sizing based upon pairs of Allen Edmonds was spot on the money. These are my second pair of Meermins. I can say in all honesty that the ones recommended by the automated system fit better than the plain toe bluchers I’ve previously purchased in the NYC store.
Poor customer service, avoid if possible
If you are lucky, everything goes well, but good luck if you're trying to refund or exchange shoes.
I bought shoes 6 weeks ago, which were sent to me quite quickly. Unfortunately they sent me the wrong model. Stuff like this happens, so I wrote them a complaint mail to which they took several days to answer to. After an unnessary back and forth with emails (to which they always took at least 2 days to answer to) where they promised several times to send me a return label, it finally arrived in my email weeks into the return process. After sending the wrong shoes back it took another several days for them to react to the returned shoes with a generic email where the promised to send the correct item in 2-3 days. Again, this is now 1 week ago, with no reaction to any inquiries about the state of my items. 6 Weeks later, still no correct shoes sent to me, still no refund. But of course spam ad-emails with "Sale items"

BUYER BEWARE! Import duties + Fedex fees after placing an order.
BUYER BEWARE! The final price that you pay on the website isn't the true final price! I made an order for a pair of boots to be shipped to the UK for £210. Three days later I got an email from Fedex, requesting payment of £46 including £10.58 fees for Fedex for "paying import duties on my behalf". So now a £210 pair of shoes is £256. I might as well have bought from a British shoemaker for a little bit more. Now I'm going to have to reject the delivery and tell Fedex to send the parcel back to Spain. At no point does Meermin make you aware of this during the order process (I just re-checked to see if I missed something).

Inefficient communication - 11 weeks to exchange a pair of shoes, which ultimately ended up sending back in Switzerland.

I can only confirm what others already wrote: Do not buy from this company. The scheme seems to be systematic: They send you the shoes but when you send them back they do not provide the documents to the customs so the shoes will be returned. Others seem to have had the same experience. Someone should start a class action and sue them.

Experiencing a similar issue. Ordered in March 2023. Three months later still trying to get a refund. Pair of shoes to wear with morning suit at my son’s wedding which were supplied were not the correct size or width ordered. Return via PO fully tracked at Spanish customs required company to arrange delivery. They needed constant prodding. Now they are claiming they cannot refund. They want a ‘PayPal’ account, which of course I don’t have as I’m not a trader on PayPal. They seem reluctant to refund via Mastercard which was the original payment method. It’s just one long nightmare dealing with them!
Very bad customer service
Very bad product quality. If you send them back you have to pay for it and it takes many many weeks to get your money back, they try multiple times to give you a store credit instead. Can not recommend and will not order here again!!
Bad quality and horrendous customer service
Wish I checked out the reviews before ordering a pair. As many are pointing out, quality of shoes are questionable and customer service is horrendous.
I received a defective pair of shoes, I contacted customer service directly and sent them photos. One defect was that the area around the welt join was a bit "chipped" or the color was scraped off. Honestly they probably didn't even check the photos I sent because they claimed that's how a welt join should look like. I own several loafers and I know how a welt join should look like. It made me furious and I think we went back and forth on the subject three four times and they sent me the same message over and over agaun. I had also pointed out to them that the shoes had other marks on them, glue residues etc. They completely ignored these comments and just focused on the welt join and claimed all is in order.
I wasn't gonna give up so I sent them messages on Instagram, called them etc etc even wrote to them in spanish
Finally I seemed to have gotten their attention and they agreed to take back the shoes and not have me pay shipping costs.
I have yet to receive my money so let's see how they hold up to their promise.
But yeah I will probably never return to purchase anything from here

Wish had seen reviews on this website. Horrible customer service and equally bad shoes. Ordered their top of the line chained norwegese black Chelsea boots. Cost 450 and 15 dollars shipping. Norwegese stitching was very irregular, wavy and of poor quality, no quality control. I contacted them and sent pictures. No response for a week. Sent shoes back and asked them to get back to me after they review shoes and refund shipping if they agree it was defective/poor quality. No response. Lost 30 dollars in shipping cost(15+15) over defective shoes. Never again.

Purchased a brand new shoe from them online which came to me all squashed from one side. It was squashed and stiff to the point that my foot couldn't enter it. I took a picture of it because I had heard about the terrible customer support from prior reviews.
I did an online return and was informed that since it was a damaged item, I wouldn't have to pay for return shipping. A few days later, their customer support sent me an invoice of $15 for the shipping. When I contacted them to address, they didn't even acknowledge the fact that the shoe was not in a wearable state ("Just put your foot inside and the defect will disappear"). When i pushed further, they stopped responding and sent me a partial refund (deducted $15 from the total amount).
I don't care about $15 but this behavior was so unprofessional that I have decided not to purchase from them ever again.
Refund is not in Meermins vocabulary
Purchase of the shoes went fine, but everything turned sour once Ive placed a return and shipped the shoes back.
Money was not returned to my card instead it is held hostage as store credit.
Communication is quite difficult, I was told essentially that If I want any progression of the issue I should contact my bank.
Absolutely outrageous…

Worst Customer Service in the industry
This company has the worst customer service I have experienced, which is not ideal given they sell shoes for hundreds of dollars each. I ordered a pair of brown boots in December for my wife, but received a pair that was dark brown instead. It's a simple issue, but when I attempted to report the issue and message the company, on their own website, I received no response. When I messaged their customer service email, I received no response. The only contact I was able to have with anyone from Meermin came from someone in their New York office, who agreed that I had received Dark Brown boots rather than brown ones, and advised me to message their customer service email. When I did so, again I received no response.
Meermin accepts returns and exchanges, but will charge a $15 'return label and restock fee.' This means that if they send you the wrong item, you will have to pay them to take it back. Since I could not get in contact with anyone from the company to help me, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and bought a new pair of Brown boots, again, from Meermin as a replacement while I waited for a refund. Once again, I received the incorrect color; they again shipped me a pair of dark brown boots. Meanwhile, they lied and told my credit card company that I had actually received the correct brown boots.
This company's incompetence towards customer care defeats any value that they could provide through their products. Please consider any other shoe and boot maker, rather than this colorblind, unresponsive, and lying company.

Retail store is not better than the online store. Customer service is very poor and they sell items that are not new.
Update:
Managed to get some things sorted out at the store. However the range here is very small so recommend you call them to get the right stock before going.

I would highly recommend you avoid purchasing from this store unless you live near its retail store.
The online store has terrible service. You will wait LONG TIME for them to ship, and your shoes will be subject to hefty import tax adding to 30+% of the price.
Emails from the customer service are filled with typos, inconsistent punctuation and grammar errors.
It gave me a valuable lesson about buying shoes online from less established brands.
Warning if you are an international customer walk away!
If you are an international customer (buying outside of Spain) avoid, avoid, avoid!! Meermin have terrible customer service and between them and Madrid customs if you do need an exchange or return don’t bother. You will just spend a lot of your own money returning the item and then they let the shoes sit at customs until customs just ship them right back to you for wait for it…sitting too long at customs! All because Meermin can’t manage things properly. They do not have the appropriate systems and procedures in place to service international customers and they know it yet they are still trading fully aware of they are not up for the task and take your money any way. Their shoes are nice but so are a lot of brands so why bother when you can get a nice product elsewhere that can provide customer service with appropriate systems in place making things smooth and stress free. This place is the complete opposite. You will be dealing with arrogance and complete incompetence for weeks on end. Shop elsewhere it’s just not worth it.
