Pest Control Review

I was completely satisfied with the service I received. They got rid of my rat and so far I have had no more visitors! After the damage one rat seemed to do I am hoping the hole they filled in is the one it got in so no more can get in.

Good prompt service

Good prompt service. Easy to make an appointment. The first treatment didnt totally eradicate the flies so I had a repeat treatment at no extra cost. All organised quickly and efficiently. I would use this company again.

As far as I know the job was done ok …

As far as I know the job was done ok but didn't take long quite small job but was promised a review of it but none was given as stated by operative. When I complained about the cost I got a refund eventually but no explanation about it. I found communication poor and I am still waiting for paper copy of bill.

one visit one hour £800???!?!!

I found the first line customer contact really professional and helpful
I have several properties in a holiday complex and needed advice as I had seen one mouse in one !
I was charged £800 inc vat
An operative came out to review and visit two of the largest
The visit took less than hour from arrival
They did not close or block any potential entry points just left bait
An hour ..,
I complained and to be fair the manager is looking to come and see why I am annoyed
But I gave still paid £800 for I think nothing
I also keep getting unexpected operatives turning up to follow up.. Which I know they go four weeks post the initial visit
My visits were week 8 and more
All I want is my money's worth or a refund
You can't justify £800 an hour for baiting
I am considering my options with legal advice

It is horrifying to see rats in close …

It is horrifying to see rats in close proximity to one's kitchen door.
The men who came to my house were competent, reassuring and did get rid of the rats.
If I were to improve the service, I would wish for continuity ie the same man to visit each time and for the time slot to be slightly reduced as half a day is a long time slot to wait in for - that said it was great to get a phone call 20 minutes before arrival
I would use this company again
The price seems high at first, but it isn't when the number of visits and guarantee is taken into account. It's money well spent

Summary

The first gentleman set the traps in the wrong place, and failed to secure them properly, which ran the risk of the squirrel running amok in the loft.
The second gentleman that helped towards killing the squirrel was most efficient and helpful.
Once the squirrel had been caught in the trap on a Friday morning, this company was unwilling to come and take the body away until the following Monday, leaving the situation as it was over the whole weekend, which was not acceptable, as we were informed that response would be on a 24-hour basis.

Guaranteed to catch the mole...no such luck.

Called JG Pest Control in to try to get rid of a mole and as they guaranteed to rid us of the pest I felt the £150 was worth it. They called, set the traps but after 2 weeks no luck. We still had the mole and they were set again but still no luck.
Will I get my money back...watch this space.

Long term success

I was hesitant with their approach as it is about getting rid of rodents or other pests in the long term, which means the gap between the first visit and second can seem like a long time to wait, but their way of handling the problem and explaining the reasons for it were very good. I would recommend this company to not do short-fix solutions but actually get rid of the problem.
