Wish I’d checked the negative reviews before I paid JG, really regret choosing them!! I paid for a full rodent treatment package, which was supposed to include follow-up visits and a guarantee, but after the third appointment, communication completely broke down. During each visit, they set down some bait, but the technician was in and out within 15 minutes each time and didn’t properly inspect my property or fill up any holes. When I called to raise concerns, customer service was dismissive and I felt completely fobbed off. The problem didn’t go away so I asked for a refund, which was refused because they claimed the work had been completed, even though they’re supposed to provide a guarantee on their work. Now I’ve spent loads of money and the rodent issue is still there. Complete waste of money and time. I’ve found other companies that provide a much cheaper and more comprehensive service plus a written guarantee, so now I’m going to have to fork out even more cash to pay for treatment again. Fuming!!

I paid over £350 for JG to remove rodents from my home. After the second visit, they told me I needed to hire a separate company to carry out a drain survey, even though their own website states that they provide this service – and this was one of the main reasons I chose them in the first place.
JG then refused to complete the third visit until I arranged and paid for the drain survey elsewhere, and they also declined to honour their guarantee when I asked for a refund. In the end, I was out of pocket by more than £350, and had to hire another company to actually solve the problem - which they did, for a much lower price.

I’ve since obtained the call recording where their agent explicitly says: “If we come out and it turns out to be nothing, it’s only the survey charge that’s payable of course.”
The company has failed to respond properly to my complaint, so I’ve raised a formal dispute with my bank. Be very careful — make sure any prices are confirmed in writing before you pay.

We had a persistent wasp issue in the eaves of our property. JG were excellent throughout. The technicians were thoroughly professional. Unfortunately it took 3 visits to eradicate the problem. This was not the fault of JG. I would definitely use them again and strongly recommend.

Completely mis-sold a package - they don't block holes, all they do is set down poison and disappear. 2nd visit they came they literally just checked poison but didn't do anything else, mouse still an ongoing issue. Sold a package of 3 visits in 6 months - won't honour a third visit because they need to be 3 weeks apart

Made promises they could not keep to get us to book. Took the total amount of £480 (to get rid of some mice) instead of just a deposit and then refused to refund the amount taken in error. Was difficult to get hold of anyone and office staff refuse to discuss the situation over the phone. Not a great service for the money paid and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this company

Do not pay this company a fee to carry out a survey!
JG Pest Control insisted on the payment of a £120 booking fee before they would undertake a residential rodent survey. The survey itself was fine, but despite several chasing emails, JG Pest Control failed to produce the promised remedial work quote for over two months and by the time the quote was received, I had obviously appointed another firm. I requested JG Pest Control to return the £120 booking fee, but this request has not been acknowledged or addressed.

I contacted JG Pest Control about honey bees in my roof, as their website states they deal with bees. I was asked to send photos/videos which I duly provided. Despite sending a reminder I have received neither a reply nor even an automated acknowledgment. That was two months ago. I am therefore in no position to offer a recommendation.

Wrote a good review the other day as i thought the issue was resolved (i called and paid for an emergency call out to get rid of a mouse) but the mouse is still in my flat and ive been told i have to wait at least 3 weeks for the second visit. Unbelievable, had i known this would be the response i would never had used them. Will have to find another company now to actually do the work i paid for.

Paid £1198.00 to get rid of a pest control problem it was guaranteed same day eradication but the problem never went away they now refuse to help, terrible company do not use, they are just about ripping people off.
Problems with wasps. Booked appointment for next day treatment. Appointment kept but work was unable to be done because of awful weather. However that evening I was emailed an invoice for payment! I emailed back confirming job not done but all I got back was an out of office automated reply. I then spent 3 anxious days including a bank holiday worrying about how I could prove work was not carried out. Rang on Tuesday and was assured no payment due, promised to email me accordingly. No email sent! Had to ring again when I finally got them to send an email confirming no payment due. Surely the operatives could get worksheets signed to confirm work carried out which could be billed against by accounts? That apart all staff were helpful and sympathetic.
Paid £336 upfront for mouse problem for 15 minutes. No follow up offered only phone in 3 weeks. Poison and 2 traps laid. Rip off extortionate. Rip off Britain may investigate.
A current customer. Avoid these folks like the plague. On here as last resort as senior management not responding to my complaint and call centre dismissive.
Had poor service. At my wits end. They Can’t find the mice. Had a different person each time who writes up a report.
Don’t waste your time and money. Get a pencil and go around your house during the day sealing up holes yourself as this company won’t. When you complain verbally and in writing you get little help and it isn’t referred on. You complain about their pest experts you get defensive lip from the call centre who don’t listen.
Promised Sunday when I called after my email of complaint (which they said they couldn’t find but was acknowledged) someone would come out again if I called on Tuesday if I still had mice. Today, when I call and email, I am told I have wait two weeks and stated this was due to clutter re. Building materials. They won’t listen to me when I say this is removed. Tory blame this and say it will take longer to remove.
When I say going to trading standards they refer to reports. Say thru offered service.
Pay attention to reports. They have advice for customers on their findings. They don’t give this during visit and contain contradictions to what is said verbally.
If you phone to complain they refer you to reports they emailed. They don’t tell you the importance so you don’t look for them in spam filter. They use these reports as a stick to beat you with to refuse further visits. I am on my second complaint that hasn’t Been seen by a senior manager. They want me to wait another two weeks for a visit when they’ve put poison in one place and mice aren’t eating it.
I have had to clear all my kitchen out and house. Plis I’ve gone around my house sealing up holes as they haven’t. They never went outside to check entry points. If they did they would have found mice were getting in via step. I found this myself!
Despite me clearing building and personal possessions they refuse to come back. Call Centre staff are set on saying no. I haven’t been able to use my kitchen due to mice in two weeks. They want me to wait another two.
First guy broke plates and didn’t check under cabinets and couldn’t find dropping. He went around putting in humane traps.
Second guy more with it but didn’t check traps around the house. Just kitchen and didn’t know where they were.
The second filled hikes with our wire wool. I had to go over his work and put cement. He missed a number of holes in the pipes in the kitchen.
Tony from JG Pest Control visited today to rid my home of what I thought were wasps. They turned out to be bees sadly. But, because they had started nesting in the soffit just under the roof, they had to be destroyed. Tony was amazing, friendly and had a great sense of humour, and got the job done with ease. I would recommend his services highly, a credit to the company. Thank you Tony.
Took wrong details after clear instruction from myself.
Used wrong telephone number for contact, hence appt was missed.....
Re arranged for next day, again, mix up with telephone numbers-appt missed again.....never kept to within time scales quoted.
Customer service person was so rude -got cut off (or did I?)never called back.
Very nice guy eventually turned up, apologised profusely on behalf of the company (wasn't his fault ). Called today to ask where my invoice was as I had to pay when booking on the phone as it was short notice?? Had my email address completely wrong!!!! What a surprise....1 star as the guy that did the job was very nice and he deserves it. Can't leave job number as no invoice yet!!!LOL
