I secure-messaged Beulah last night (a Sunday) and had a reply very early this morning. I am a very novice investor and needed to find a document on the site. She explained in very clear (but not patronising) terms how to find it.

Just to let you know, this broker will charge you even if you have your money in cash. Also, if you have any top-up money on your credit, forget about it, as they do not return it.
I strongly recommend not using this broker. They are extremely expensive, and their customer service is not helpful at all.

Thank you for your reply. However, I do not feel that you have properly answered my concerns.
My main issue is that I was charged even though my money was held in cash, and I was also left with trading credit that I cannot withdraw or recover. From a customer’s point of view, this feels very unfair and misleading.
You are now explaining that the credit can only be used against commission charges, but this was not clear enough to me when the account was active. If a customer cannot withdraw or recover this credit when closing the account, then it has very limited real value.
Your response appears to justify the charges rather than address the actual customer experience. In my opinion, this makes the platform feel extremely expensive and not transparent enough. It has left me with the impression that customers can lose money through fees and unused credits, even when they are not actively investing.
For these reasons, I remain very disappointed with the service and would not recommend Interactive Investor to others.

Just completed my Stocks & Shares isa transfer from another provider, I was quite nervous about the whole process but I have to admit it went seamlessly.

Maria, having answered promptly, listened carefully to my request, checked a number of times with other offices for clarification and resolved my issue efficiently.
She also added a function to my account to enable me to vote at shareholders meetings.

I phoned ii today with regard to a deposit made to a personal bank account of mine. It was answered by
Rui Daniel who listened to what I had to say, re the bank deposit, took down the details and told me he would look into the matter and told me he would put me on hold whilst he got the information. Before he could put me on hold I mentioned a complaint I had raised, and that it may be related to the complaint. I told him I had looked in my accounts secure messages, financial transactions, contract notes and corporate actions and could find no reference to the payment. He said that is probably what it was and would get back to me asap. He did and confirmed that it was todo with the complaint, and it wasn't in my account correspondence because I had requested it be sent by post, and that it could be held up because of the problems at the Post Office. Rui said he could ask for it to be sent by secure message as well and I agreed. I now have the final outcome letter.
Rui was very courteous and helpful throughout the call and a credit to ii staff.

I have never come across a company that is so incompetent:
I withdraw my funds - they stop my secure message facility and still send messages so have call to understand what they say
Level of customer service shocking - phone calls drop and they don't call back and definitely don't want to help
Don't meet there SLA's, when you call they lie to you
Under no circumstances would I ever use this company again !
I have phoned 35 times in 4 weeks to be told they can't help me and the document I need and they are obliged to provide is in process ... which is what I have been told for 4 weeks. yet there SLA says they can get this document to you in 5 - 10 days.
