Would like to share that I learnt about Vanguard from reading JL Collins, who is a very strong advocate of Vanguard. Having compared AJ Bell, Hargreaves’s etc., Vanguard is the best in terms of fees and a simple structure to keep to.
Whenever I reach out to their team, they respond within the same day or next. They are usually very helpful. Hamza, Liam, Elliot, Becca, Lola, and a few others have helped me understand how the index funds and Vanguard processes work.
I am giving 4* because I have an outstanding request trying to understand why I cannot transfer via Chrome which is taking some time to investigate.
On the whole, I am very glad we have Vanguard operating in the UK. My brother who lives in Netherlands unfortunately does not. Wish Vanguard is accessible to them as well as in India. It enables the uninitiated to invest relatively safely. I am a big advocate of Vanguard to my friends. Thank you ever so much!

My Junior ISA matured, yet I have been refused access to my money since I first contacted them in February (over 2 months ago). Despite this, my account remains fully invested, and I have no ability to sell or withdraw.
I submitted a request for full withdrawal and account closure in mid-March. It is now mid-April, and nothing has been processed.
I have provided all requested documents multiple times, including ID and bank statements. Despite this, the company continues to repeat that “verification is in progress,” with no clear explanation or timeline. Requirements have also changed during the process, including a late demand for a UK bank statement, even though I am not a UK resident.
Customer support responses are slow, inconsistent, and fail to address the core issue. The process feels unnecessarily obstructive.
I cannot recommend this service based on my experience!

Excellent customer service. Tried the efficient Chat Bot first who couldn’t help and they suggested calling. Spoke with Shoaib who was very helpful and understood my problem concerning an ISA. He talked me through investing into a fund and made me aware of over subscribing to my ISA allowance in this financial year. I appreciated his advice.

If you are a hands off investor that just wants to forget about your investment it may well work for you. However if you are a proactive investor the limited investment funds, the clunkiness of the system, the slow transaction times in sales and purchases can run into second days, frustratingly, seem to apply fees that I could not readily find when previously researching. No direct access to markets and stocks, No Cash ISA offerings, no ability to chose entry and exit timings to investments, for these reasons it is not at all a good fit for me, I was going to switch to Interactive Investor but I have a stocks and shares ISA on Trading 212 which I find superb transactionally and no buy sell fees and very low fees overall, they have a SIPP offering launching really soon its in Beta testing so I am sitting on my hands until it fully launches, them I am off.
Great customer service experience today from Mariam - she was extremely polite and efficient at resolving my issue. She gave clear instructions and good info on how to do what I needed to do.
I switched from a self managed ISA to a managed ISA. I had several questions which Tolu answered patiently. the live chat option is great and will be my preferred option to resolve issues in the future.
I have my SIPP with Vanguard and what I love about them is it is so refreshing to be able to get to speak to someone quickly - no long wait on the phone and everyone you speak to is so helpful every time I call with a question or need some help setting up an account. Highly rate Vanguard for customer service. Big shout out to Dimitri this morning who helped me set up my GIA account. Super polite and friendly, thank you!
