Beware at all cost or else you will be mentally tortured. Be vigilant and check your account all the time or else all the money you paid will go to their own pocket!!! Totally unacceptable.. My balance last 2nd of november 2020 is 12.228.80 and i paid monthly 580.00 each month and now i checked my account and my balance is 10,163.96 that is supposed to be 8,798.80 already taken out 630.00 for their payment.To all of you out there be carefull with this company as its happened to me three time already. Some of my creditors even sent me a letter for my refund and i cant see any deduction of my balances. Intead of helping you trough out difficult times this company will pull you down. Ive been with you for over five years and then you merge together same employees. Look at the Gregory Pennington sites and you can see financial wellness group dont fool the people dont hide on your shadow. Dont be scared on people reading the reviews as this is the truth and that is what was happened.

I received an email the same day that I submitted my review where Ian Williams came back and advised that he would check my account and contact was indeed made on Monday (today). So thank you so much for the clarification again and for resolving my issue so promptly.

GP started out ok. I have been with them for 4 years roughly on a dmp. However over the last six months their service has been far from professional. I understand with Covid19 companies are possibly under more pressure however they have caused me so much stress this year. I have been communicating clearly with them but clearly things dont get noted down on accounts etc. I have had repeated emails from them asking the same question on several occasions. I havnt missed any payments and cant wait for my dmp to end next year. For a company to charge a fee which I am aware of and happy with have been useless this year and they need to retrain their staff and up standards. I would recommend you use another company.

I was offered a Debt Management Plan towards my debts plus their regular fee of £38.50.
I advised the company that my name on the documents is misspelled and my DOB was input incorrectly too.
I have chased the customer service on a few occasions because I couldn’t register to my online account (for months) to see the progress on my DMP and this was because of the incorrect personal details that was input by the company, then couldn't be changed without a hassle.
What is more, on my agreement which was based on the conversation with GP I agreed to monthly payments (1st of each month) and the payments were taken every 4 weeks on rotational basis which worked out to be 13 payments a year! (where would the 13th payment go?). I had gone through a detailed financial expense form with the advisor to make sure monthly payments are affordable and ended up being charged 1x extra payment a year, how come this can be called helpful? If anything - that just just topped my concerns and anxiety up. I used significant time and hassle going through the process to correct the information.

This has not only caused me a lot of distress on top of already stressful financial difficulty by the company which promotes themselves as a help for people in debt. You can understand that for a customer who is seeking debt help who you not helping free of charge but by a monthly fee of £38.50 a month (4 weekly in my case as incorrectly set up) this is unacceptable and really bad service offered.
For a fee of mind blowing £4,235 (if I carried using the plan until my debts are fully paid) I could pay off some of my debts and I couldn’t even have my DOB, name and monthly payments processed correctly. This has caused me losing trust in the company so I cancelled the DMP with Gregory Pennington and decided to reach out to all my creditors directly seeking direct arrangements between myself and the lenders.

I owed about 11 grand to various companies. I went with this company Gregory Pennington.
And I must say. What a load of crap.
I was paying £38 a month just for them in fees.
What debt management company charges fees. When we are already struggling.
When you can go with a free company like step change.
All the money you pay goes towards the debt and not to them.

DONT GO WITH GREGORY PENNINGTON.

Go with STEP CHANGE.
ITS FREE.

Just to add. When I was seeking help when I first applied. It would have been helpful for you to advise me on the free companies that offer help. Instead of making myself as well as other people gain more debt with going with GREGORY PENNINGTON

IF ANY BODY READING THIS AND IS IN DEBT. GOOGLE DEBT HELP AND GO WITH A FREE COMPANY. THEY OFFER JUST AS GOOD A SERVICE. FOR FREE.

AND ITS NOT GOING TO GET YOU MORE INTO DEBT. BY BEING CHARGED FEES.

ITS OUTRAGEOUS GREGORY PENNINGTON. SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELFS.

I am with Gregory Pennington and my debt has been reduced considerably only a few more thousand pounds to repay but I thank them to stop 11 creditors from asking money every week.i was down to borrow money to repay debts.
Now I only have a weekly payment to them and I can sleep at night.Highly recommended and Gregory Pennington team thank you

Me & my partner we’re ill with stress trying to pay all our debts each month & felt as though we were getting no where.
I spoke to a lovely lady from Gregory Pennington and it felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders once I put the phone down.
They deal with all our creditors on our behalf all we have to do is send our monthly payment and email any post from our lenders.
The support we have received as been fantastic and there is always someone at the end of the phone.
It’s going to take a long time until we become debt free but at least we don’t have to struggle so much anymore

I remember maybe 10yrs ago the Halifax advising me that Think Money/Gregory Pennington would help me with my debts.So I banked with them for maybe 2yrs until I realised that the fees were absolutely awful and they’d of been better used towards my debt.

Last year I became debt free, I had owed 50k and if I’d not of changed bank accounts I’d still owe £9,600 as I was paying £100 a month in fees to Think Money/Gregory Pennington.

I saw someone use one of their cards in H&B the other week, and it reminded me that Lloyd’s Bank gave me a basic account and PayPlan (it’s free) paid all my debts each month.

Please try PayPlan first or any other debt charity - I didn’t know about them being free and stupidly took Halifax’s advice. You’ll get a basic account from most High St Banks.

PayPlan are free they’ll help you for nothing, that saving can go towards your debt. I paid Think Money/Gregory Pennington maybe £2,400, for something that was free elsewhere.

Just try and get something free before you try these people because I found waiting on the phone for them to answer was a nightmare and it’s not like you can walk into a branch and withdraw money.

It actually makes me feel ill to think about their antics, it’s an extremely stressful experience.

I’m lucky I’m debt free now but could of been debt free sooner but for this outfit

I've been with these guys a few years, very professional and understanding, I can't rate them enough actually.

They offered debt relief to my partner ,they asked her to provide document showing that she recieved her benefits plus bank statements which i did , they lost bank statements which i send next day recorded delivery , they dont accept prof of benefits they said its only one page but Dwp and revenue provided me only with one page , its been now more than half year when im trying to include my partner in my debt management plan or to get her debt relief folder , each time im calling im dealing with new person , to much hustle , they keep saying they there to help but there is no much help .

Since Gregory Pennington have been involved with my debts there has been nothing but problems arising. Cancelling agreements when I haven't even been notified or been discussed with me, aren't able to check the information I have sent them before speaking to Debtors and getting all the information hence why no one is able to find my details etc. I am now looking to take my debts to a company where they don't charge you and have been more than happy to take this one and deal with it all for me and get it correct first time round.

Can't thank gregory Pennington enough so far . Put my mind to rest after worrying about debts. Very good and understandable team and always a phone call away . Definitely recommend . Thanks

I was directed here by another provider and I'm so pleased I was.
Been with this company now around 3 months.
From start to finish was treated well did not look down on me for being in this situation and was good at looking at my finances and understanding what I could realistically afford and what I can live on.and true to there word not 1 letter or phonecall from debt collection agencies I can finally live again with out all the stress

Only one phone call and I am already at ease, after a week of tears and stress I made the decision to get some help with my debts, I spoke with Becky and she was lovely! Understandable and friendly, waiting for a phone call back this afternoon to sort the rest out. Would definitely recommend, like I said first phone call and I feel better already.
